I disagree. Poor
Ol' Christian Troy. His haiku

Mommy P-- I think you have the breastfeeding down pat. :lmao: You should be teaching the class. Are you still breastfeeding? I guess he is still not that old, now if it was your oldest....All these babies have you stopped breastfeeding in between. Does that mean you get your ultrasound now.

I am still breastfeeding. He is no where near ready to wean yet. I should get an ultrasound around 18ish weeks. I'm so far along now that I don't think they would bother doing one before than.

Last edited by TwinkieMama : Today at 03:05 PM. Reason: Isaac plays punch bug??? and talks? Gabe's vocabulary is extremely limited. He does play "chase" and "tackle"

He is a big talker. Kaleb didn't say much until he was like 2. But Isaac decided to talk early.

That makes sense. The birth order book people say that 5th children are like firstborns and then the cycle continues (6th = 2nd personality wise).

Also if you have a gap of 5 or more years the cycle starts over.

Or so "they" say.

My boys do NOT talk early. It is kind of freaky since they walk early and don't act like babies in a lot of ways. Gabe basically doesn't talk at all. He can say Mama, Dada, and Bye Bye and occassionally "hot" but usually has his finger in his mouth. I worry a bit but I am sure it is just his personality.

Anyhoo, I've got a heck of a headache today. 14 weeks pregnant and I am still feeling the effects of the 1st trimester.

Great Post. You are so right on all things Country.

Ty. Tyverymuch.

I'd like to give him more than a hug!

I wouldn't. heh.:rolleyes1

I think you are quite right. lol! But then again, if he were dis friendly, would I like him half as much as I do? :scratchin

Hey. What are we both doing here at this hour? I know what I'm doing here. I feed the brood an early supper (lasanga for those who are interested) and the dh got some tickets to the U of L basketball game, so he is gone with part of the crew.

Ethan has baseball practice....ALREADY!!! It's pretty darn cold if you ask me.

and Julia is pouting. don't ask.

as far as talking, Caleb was a bit of a late bloomer. so much so that when he was nearing 2, Julia introduced him to some family that we had not seen in quite awhile like this:

"Hi. I'm Julia. This is Cabub. He's my bubby. He dont talk"

Caleb, without missing a beat, "HI!"

Julia pauses for a moment "wellllll, he talks a little."

I am fixin' suppah right now. Spaghetti with marinara where I have cleverly replaced the beef with ground turkey. Shhh!

As for THE DH. He is here. He just totally got me. He came home with a long story about he had an emergency business trip next week for 4 days to Hawaii. It was totally plausible with the details etc etc. I was this close to checking for tickets and people I could hijack, er, ask to babysit. He kept insisting no wives allowed but he would think of me as he sat on the beach. What a joker.

But he still doesn't know about the turkey so I get the last laugh. Heh.

Alas, I have survived another round of parent-teacher conferences. I only had one crazy yesterday. This woman was screaming. Not because she was mad at me, mind you, she was just screaming about other things. The fact that she has 7 kids, the fact that she's having to adopt another one of her sister's children, the fact that she really needed to go grocery shopping. :confused3 I got to hear about all this and more in a SCREAMING voice. I think she's just overwhelmed and thought parent-teacher conferences are a therapy/venting session. The teacher next door even came over to make sure everything was okay. :rotfl:

I also had yet another evaluation today. It went well. Getting everything ready for conferences and then the stress of being observed are making this week just crawl by!

Twink...I am intrigued by the birth order thing. So since my little sister is more than 5 years younger than me, she should act like the first child rather than the baby? I guess I can see that.

bbn...well now that you've shared that email with the 10+ of us, I know you're a country person. Before, I had my doubts. Thanks for clarifyin it all for me. You're a real pal. I'll let the folks back home know they ain't eatin real chili. I'll refer questions/comments on the matter in your general direction.

L...sorry about the laptop. You want that I should steal you a new one?

Cel...woot on the free food. How's the work stuff?

Today: Almost 60 when we went out for recess around 1:00.
Tomorrow: supposed to be 30 with a chance of snow.
WTHeck??

Scream!!!

Work is nuts right now!

Thanks for listening.

Carry on.....

PJ, maybe I should forward your post to my DD who wants to be a history teacher. Or an counselor.

Cel, Ben sounds like a nice guy.

I know nothing
of Dr. Christian or his hotness
and do not care

Hey, did I just write a Haiku? I don't remember the rules.

I have a 9:30 am meeting at the Poly tomorrow, which means I have to leave by 8:45 the latest. I dont usually get up by then even!! And it's an All Hands meeting with the director, so I can't be late. Wish me luck!

Calling the counselor was actually in the back of my mind during the little situation. I ended up standing up, walking to the door, and exiting the room. She followed me right out the door, scream talking the whole time. There were parents out there waiting for their appointment, so I kindly thanked her for taking the time to meet with me and called the next set of parents in. I think she would have gladly carried on all night.

And I wanna go to the Poly tomorrow!!! Good luck.

ALL my crap was given to the tax lady this evening.

What a relief that's over.

I almost bought a bottle of wine. But instead purchased 2 gallons of milk and 2 packages of paper plates.

Your going to the Poly would be very different from mine, I'm afraid. I'd love to go there for vacation/relaxation too, alas, not the purpose of the meeting.

Did I ever mention I worked at the Poly for 3 years? 1985-1988. I LOVED it!

1. Something leads me to believe that you wouldn't care even if it was. Past experience perhaps??? :scratchin
2. Well could it at least be a little more consistent from day to day? Please and thank you.

Do not know the Doc
Surely he is hotter than hell
But I will never know

MIA tonight due to spotty Internet service :headache:

Well, I made it through my first telecommute day! It was nice not having to schlep into work, but I had some little frustrations here and there. No e-mail archives means I have some follow-up things to take care of tomorrow and it was a bit of a pain dealing with a few unexpected issues with my MS Word and Excel for Mac programs. I think I got the bugs figured out though.

bbn - You always have the best kid stories! :)

Peej - Goog strategy with the screaming mom. Yikes. Are you counting the days until vacation??!

Marita - I feel your pain regarding the early meeting. If it helps you to feel any better, I have to leave the house by 7:00 to drive my hubby to his colonoscopy appointment :scared:

Cel - I NEED some Thai food! Maybe I'll pick some up for dinner tomorrow night.

Twink - How naughty of the DH to tease you about a Hawaiian vacation
