Oh great, I just got another meeting invite for Resort Operations announcements!

Hey yous guys! Lookit me! The DH set up the desktop from his man cave in my living room as a temporary fix until I get a new laptop! w00t! I LOVE that guy, I tell you what!

1. Do you do any signing with him? I would go crazy without it. It's so nice to be able to encourage communication rather than whining. But Isaac is my only one who started to say some of the words he signs instead of signing them anymore. His favorite word is, "bite". He likes to eat what you have.

2. Wow that's a lot of money. Isn't there a prepaid toll program that would save you some money? We don't have any toll roads around here, but of course that just leaves I75, which is super congested. They keep making more roads to help with the congestion of I75, but then they make the speed limit on them 50(45 at night) so who the heck wants to use those roads? Duh. There is just a toll to get into Cape Coral, but if you go in from the north there is no bridge, therefore no toll. :thumbsup2

3. Chad has a meeting at work tonight. Hopefully it's not bad news. Every time he starts a new job they have some big meeting with bad news. :sad2:

1. DH and I did signing with Boris and Natasha...worked SO well with both of them! They both talked pretty early (and have rarely been quiet since!), and we managed to avoid a lot of whining and such. They are still able to use some of the signs they learned as babies when we get together with my BFF, who has a non-verbal child with Down Syndrome. Very helpful!

2. I know that bridge! Did I ever mention that I stayed in Cape Coral for about 6 weeks back when I was single?

3. Sending anti-bad-news pixie dust Chad's way! Can't find the pixie dust smiley, but imagine it here:

second thanks for the update! I'll be sure to frost cookies with the Turkmenistan flag. ;) I know Martha Stewart probably already has hers done.

Cookies adorned with Turkmenistan flag: Check! How'd you know? :rotfl:

1. Hollywood just texted me that she's at the sailaway party. Did I mention she was going on the Disney cruise? Anyway, that just made me endlessly jealous. How nice would that be right now? Just got on the ship, enjoying the sail away party. Sunny and beautiful. SIGH.

2. What's a Sasketchewan?

1. Okay, color me jealous. It snowed AGAIN here last night. Luckily, the 2 inches we got is already mostly melted, since it was in the low 50s all day today.

2. God bless you!

hey my friends..
can anyone spell STRESS.......still waiting for contractor to get back to us so hubby is calling them tomorrow and see what the outcome was .....then we can decide whether to make a bid or not......
Last night had to go and get a microwave cause mine bit the dust or was getting old..
But good news is that yesterday we got our AP rate at Port Orleans French Quarter for our visit to the mouse.......we saved alot thank goodness......first time we have gotten our AP rate in a few years......

I am pooped taking care of Ava my little great niece...she is a good baby and smiles most of the time.....only cries to go to sleep and that is it.......but I am still tired........taking care of a little one is alot of work....I am her entertainer..
Have been signing with her this past week.....she watches me and it is cute cause she will open her mouth up when I sign MORE

Lynt, Woohoo on the temporary fix!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I never heard of signing with babies until recently. Still dont quite understand how they get that better than words :confused3 I suppose because they cant verbalize yet?

Carp, I just remembered I need to check something for work I just emailed.

CEL, where are you today????

I am so jealous of your sister since it snowing at this moment. Aww to be up on deck 9 dancing and waving those colourful sticks around. Still can remember Nicholas dancing his heart out to YMCA when we were there in Dec.
I guess she's at dinner by now. She texted me that tonight is Parrot Cay. Oh my. :cloud9: Unfortunately, her cell phone lost service as the ship pulled away so we will not be able to live vicariously through her. Surely that would have been a healthy thing to do...

Oh great, I just got another meeting invite for Resort Operations announcements!
Is this an invite that really means you better be there or else? Why do they call it an invite? Or is it actually an invite? My principal sends us these "invites" all the time. They're always invites to faculty meetings and other boring stuff that you don't want to go to. One of these times I'm going to decline the invite. We'll see how that goes.

1. YAY!!!!! :cool1: Tell Mr. SnarkbRitches thanks for bringin the snark bACK to the thread.
2. Are you for real? Does everyone seriously know what a Saskatchewan is?
If so, at what point in one's life is this learned and just what was I up to during that time?

Better to be driving someone to a colonoscopy than getting a colonoscopy. That is what I always say. ;)
Twink - Truer words were never said!!! :lmao:

Moo....Pacific Coast Highway. Noted. We'll have to try that. I definitely want to have a chance to at least see the other 2 hotels.

Hollywood just texted me that she's at the sailaway party. Did I mention she was going on the Disney cruise? Anyway, that just made me endlessly jealous. How nice would that be right now? Just got on the ship, enjoying the sail away party. Sunny and beautiful. SIGH.

Was that post exciting or what?
VERY exciting, Peej! So was Hollywood going to go to DL with you and ended up doing a cruise instead???

Definitely go check out the other hotels. There's a Japanese restaurant at Paradise Pier too, I think, but we didn't try it because I didn't figure my hubby would like it. Check out the ladies room off the lobby at PP if you go. The glass tile work in there was really pretty. It's weird the things I remember about that trip :rolleyes1 (no Hiney Hider stalls though, LOL!)

I'm getting up, 5 more minutes....
I finally got up at 7:50's on made it to the meeting right on time. WHEW!
Glad you made it to your meeting! Sounds like you've had QUITE the day

I took a little nap after bringing hubby home from the hospital before going into work. I forgot that we had staff meeting at 1:00 so I ended up getting to that a little late, but it wasn't that big of a deal.

Pumba - w00t on the AP rate!!! :dance3: I see they're offering a pretty goog AP discount right now that seems to rival the 4/3 deal apparently without the minimum stay. $64 for a Value room. Old Key West studio for $199 also. Not sure that's such a great deal for OKW though.

Lynette - YAY on having the computer! What a nice hubby. Your move.

I picked up dinner for Applebee's tonight since DH was pretty hungry. So I got home and found that they gave me the wrong order. Which I could have eaten, but DH was really set on having his burger. So we called and I went back to pick up the correct order and got to keep the wrong food too. So I have an Oriental chicken bowl to take to work for lunch tomorrow and steak for dinner :) Good thing it's not far to the restaurant.

1. I'll pass that along. He'll be glad you're appreciative, I'm sure.
2. Are YOU for real? Have you really never heard of Saskatchewan? Do they not teach geography in the Cincinnati schools? Tsk, tsk. Ever heard of Europe? How about Australia? Mexico? :rotfl:

Well, this one did not say Mandatory, but if you are scheduled to work on Friday you better darn well go (implied).

Anyway, it will be interesting. Not a boring meeting. But potentially scary.
Oh what the heck, I'm scrared already, LOL!

Being on a cruise would definitely be a better option! Sigh!

Well her and her friends just decided to go almost spur of the moment. They got the CM rate and it's only the 3 night cruise so she didn't have trouble getting off work. She's still planning on joining us for at least part of the Disneyland trip.

That made me giggle. I will add checking out the bathroom to my to-do list.

WOOT on double food!!

1. Next tell him I think he should buy you a brand new laptop since he apparently listens to me.

2. I think I either slept, doodled, or texted my way through that portion of the show. Either that or I didn't attend at all. Maybe that was the week my parents took us to WDW. Not that I ever skipped school. A lot. Especially high school.

Well, I hope it turns out to be surprisingly non-scary. :wizard:

1. Okay, let's see how that works. I am currently working on convincing Mr. Lalijack to use some of our tax return to purchase a new laptop using CBM's small business discount at Dell. I'll tell him you're a fan of the whole new laptop thing, and maybe that'll sway him....

2. Hmmm.....surprisingly, I have no problem believing that any or all of those excuses are plausible. :upsidedow

Lynt, I got a Compaq Presario on sale for $449, without any discount and it handles 30MB files just fine. Surely you can get a vital piece of equipment on the cheap in these times. Tell DH it is a vital part to keep you SANE!

P.J.-- I already told you it was a Province out west. We have 10 Provinces. Sask. borders Montana and North Dakota. In between Manitoba and Alberta. I am sure you know all this .

Thanks for the info, Marita. I have a chance to buy a brand new Dell for $499, free shipping and $60 cash back through CBM, but the sale ends tomorrow! Cross your fingers that DH and I can come to a speedy agreement on the necessity of having a new laptop!

NOW you're expecting her to know what Montana is!

Lynette-- good to have you back. Hope you get a new laptop though. Much easier to sit on the couch then on a chair in front of a desktop.

RobIn, welcome back! Missed you!

Lynt, keeping all appendages crossed!

Here i a post I just posted in Great Bisquits report (which is very entertaining if you have not read it). Thought I would share my trip down memory lane here too. This is about Epcot.

Another great update, GB!

I can imagine 2 teenage boys running around having fun.

I will give you my history, if I may.

Back in 1980 or so, I was tagged to be Supervisor of Capital Assets. You know, record assets on the books, blah blah, boring stuff. But Epcot happened. Lots of millions of dollars worth of assets to be recorded on the books with original cost and estimated life and all that stuff. It was a HUGE task, HUGE I tell you.

I walked Epcot when it was under construction, in piles of sand with a hard hat. I noticed our partners in Property Control putting asset tags on the front of fancy show equipment in the France dining room (you DO NOT put Asset tags in view of guests). I jumped over water somewhere, some attraction. I dont remember where.

I walked in World Showcase with the VP of Tax before the opening. Everything was brand new. The walkways were bright pink. Or rose color if you prefer. There was nobody around. Just Jose and me, LOL.

They had a huge party for salaried CM's before the official opening. This was in the days before they cut out the alcohol for just about everything. So it was unlimited food and wine and drink. I remember it was a very rainy night. DH and I walked around with a BIG red umbrella. They had food and drink stations set up all over the place. I got rather plastered.

There was a big ceremony on opening day. I was too ignorant or shy to ask if I could go as a guest since I was so involved in the project. So I signed up to be in the opening show. So I dressed up in some silver outfit and stood on a wall in front of Spaceship Earth holding balloons. ( I assumed I released them on que, but I dont remember).

Sorry, back to your regularly scheduled trip down memory lane now....

Lynette-- good to have you back. Hope you get a new laptop though. Much easier to sit on the couch then on a chair in front of a desktop.

Thanks, NAB. ITA about sitting on the couch. This desktop is currently set up on a kids' table from the playroom, and I dragged Boris' fuzzy, acid-green chair in from the playroom to sit in. Not so comfy. But at least I can get online if I want to!

Reason: Hi Rob where have you been!
Hi Nab! I've been swamped, swamped, swamped at work but am glad to have a job to work at!

RobIn, welcome back! Missed you!
Thanks Marita! Unfortunately, the only reason I am here (for a bit) and not working or sleeping is because I was home sick today and it looks like I will be tomorrow as well. Heck of a way to get some recreational time. I am still getting my weekends off (so far) but usually spend all that time with the family.

-- Rob

Lynt, just tell your DH how much he wants his computer back in his man cave!

RobIn, sorry you are sick, but I concur on the employment situation.

Nebo news for those who read his reports, a new one due up tomorrow.
Mony, i know you know already !
