or..is it tinker bell..out to have some fun? pixiedust:

who iam?...my mother's rosary goes on every disney trip we make.

....our 8mm home movies..are in the safety disposit box... along
with kids' baby pictures. [ oh, :offtopic: , ...but the baby beauty
pagents.....all {negative} ]. a 3~d..last supper picture...my mom
kept in our camper, & the raggity~worn artifical flowers..my
father got for my mother. and 2 old grog 's coffee cups,

* it's an absolute amazing that any survived...used to get them
free @ the gas station..& when my father...was tee off @ my
mother....the cups..bite the dust, :rolleyes1

being..a mother :flower3: ...the brother i posted his picture ..was
just 2 years after being involved..in a head on motor cycle crash.
the other rider was killed, and you 'll never want to see the
pictures ..the high way patrol took in the er. [ we heard alot
comments..about...oh, well..she has 9 other kids...]. i was down @
lake..with the younger ones, & my dad was with my mother in the er.
....my mother..did not want to "see" him. but guess...who
he kept..asking for? there's no way, that her going in ...took a few
years..off her life.

oh, my brother, told..her .."don't let them cut up my racing leathers".

sure... :scared1: they were already laying in a pile. proving a mother's
job..is never done. :flower3:

..it's seem so odd...to be old enough...to be sharing my
"tool box"...from work , but...

...whenever,i paused...i've sure been..in alot experiences....

...even from the begining. & for the last 17 years....an influx of

..human nature...struggles. * jus remember ... i have my mother's
temper....& just..as many..faults..like everyone else.

defining what i've seen...is where i found....alot hidden reality.
it doesn't mean..i am a master, any of it..but just by seeing.....
all the rationizations......ruining lives, verbal interventions must
acquired the counter "arguments" if common sense is going to
be anywhere near sucessful,.... & so this explains....
the lil' presentations..."from work"..they are what i used...over &
over....and the thing..about reality...it dependable & fruitful...
with a lil'consideration. but those keeping ignoring reality,
...is like being trapped.

...i'll never forget...those few moments..when that mother took
her last breath. me & the dr., were is such close quarters...we
all were looking @ each other. before we could blink, she was
gone..., fell- hit the hard delivery room table...& bounced back
to life....."we"...never said a word...until..the second..team arrived,
...and took her to icu. the tiny lil' fella..was madder than a wet
hen...& did....extremely..well. going in..it was the "baby"...that
we thought....was going to be in trouble.

....as for mental health..the more i do it..the more i realized...
its all about living well with the time you have . it's hard to
see how many lare so miserable..jus because they refuse to
make lil'changes. & alot the things that can produced improvments,
recoveries & wonderful memories...are concrete things..that
can be taught. * primary schools..recognized...children needs
for technical skills/growth..it very bothersome..how much
they're ignoring..developmental/social needs...based on religion,
:confused3,

..then where 's society alarms..for all the drugs...they're slinging.

this is me, i take..my work..home, ..& even on vacation. :faint:

..is lexy girl around?

here's a picture of me..from the "caves" , wooly manoth..not the
moth man!,

noticed all the disney pins? :p

..oh, i got a brother living in arizona, i bet he's happy.

oh wow. I read back. Some of you are going through some really difficult times. I have this poem on a bookmark. I'm sure most of you have heard it, but whenever I'm going through a hard time, I find encouragement in these words. :grouphug:

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed He was walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from His life. For each scene He noticed two sets of footprints in the sand. One belonging to Him and the other to the Lord.

When the last scene of His life flashed before Him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of His life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times of His life.

This really bothered Him and He questioned the Lord about it. "Lord you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me."

The Lord replied, "My precious, precious child, I Love you and I would never leave you! During your times of trial and suffering when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."

That's a great poem, BBN.

Where the heck is everyone today??????

Helllllooooooooooooo?????????

Well, since I am obviously the only Moover without a life around here, I'll share a little tidbit from this mornings newspaper.

Ben and Jerry's (the ice cream guys) have a new flavor out.

Picture the ice cream carton with a picture of Barack Obama on it.

Then in big letters, the flavor:

YES,
PECAN!

School started today for me.

Just getting some time to say hi.

Sandy much love, hugs and prayers continue your way.

Java you too.

Hi Marita, lilG, BBN, Cheryl, Nab, and everyone else

Marita -- we knew you were off today so we went into hiding...:lmao: Sorry couldn't resist.

I have been busy shoveling snow since it hasn't stopped snowing since Saturday. I also adventured out and got my hair cut it was driving me crazy.

The kids were hoping for a snow day but I guess the plows were out early and the roads were ok so no snow day for them. I will have to take a picture of the huge snow pile on my front lawn.We are running out of places to put the stuff. Dangerous to get out of the driveways to because we can't see.

Me, Riley and Mamacel are in CINCINATTTTI!!!!

That was just for peej.
I am worn out!

I slept way in today, courtesy of Martin Luther King Day . . . and staying up most of the night figuring out my new laptop!

I reached the breaking point of having an ancient computer this weekend and we went to the Apple store "just to look". Just like looking at puppies, I came home with a new MacBook. It's definitely different, but I'm loving a lot of the features. Especially the graphics and the speed. It wakes up SO fast compared to my old one. It came with a free printer, but I upgraded to a wireless one. Which was the other reason I finally look the leap. We couldn't figure out the printer driver for my old laptop and my hubby got tired of doing my printing for me :lmao:

Now I just need to install the Windows stuff that I'll need for work and transfer files. But I have already added most of my frequently used Web links :cheer2:

Marita, maybe I can act as technical adviser for your hubby! Hope he has been able to figure some things out by now.

What happened to your Queen of the Procrastinators??!

Steph and Sandy - I'm also continuing to send prayers your way today

bbn - I also love that Footprints story. So comforting.

Nabbie - I think our snow has finally taken a break. We're finally having a :sunny: day!!!

Marita -- we knew you were off today so we went into hiding...

Hardy Ha ha, Nab!

Happens every time I have a day off. Posting frenzies only when I work!

Yuck on all the snow! BRRRRR It's really windy here today, and going down to a high of 55 by Wednesday.

I really need a haircut too. But I need my nails done first. I dont think I ever waited so long, they are in bad shape if you look closely. (Been patching them up with matching color). Not because of money, just because I dont feel like going. But I think I have to drag my sorry butt finally in and get it over with.

Yahoo Messenger died on me, I feel so out of touch. It's what I use to talk to some friends and my BFF. If I click on help, it says the network wont respond. So I hope its a temporary issue. And the Dis is slow as Molasses for this site and some others, but good for other places, no rhyme or reason.

WOW, Messenger finally come back

I knew I forgot something...

Mony, how much longer for school? It took me 10 years of night school. These days the kids pretty much all need masters degrees, luckily not in my generation. Although I did start, but then I got pregnant with DD, and I dropped out.

Moo, congrats on the new Mac. Hubby hasnt even touch his laptop since the weekend, he really isnt a computer guy. He prefers news and movies. And he can get the online to work thing he needs once a week from my pc.

Still, it's the principal of the thing. They gave us Citrix to connect to work from home, and the guy wouldnt help us cause it isnt Disney equipment? I think he was just scared of Macs (Im still mad at DH about getting one). But I have a plan IF I need it (hope I dont). During the gas shortage in the 70's, I carpooled with some IT folks. One of them is now a VP in Disney IT. I thought he might be retired, but he is still showing in Outlook. So if I get too frustrated, I might email him and ask for help. Cause this is really stupid.

I just depends on me. If I take two classes a semester, an eternity, if I take 3, maybe 2 more years.

hi friends-
well the girls did indeed get the plague.... followed by me and the DH. This weekend seems like it is a million years long.

I am thankful that (so far) the baby isn't sick.

I am thankful for owning a washer and dryer.

I am thankful we bucked the trend here on the prairie to carpet bathrooms. (Seriously-what idiot thought up that one?)

I am thankful for lysol.

I am thankful for the fourish pounds I lost.

I am thankful that the kids were sick on a weekend and thus didn't miss school .

I would give you all a group hug but I don't want to spread germs. Here, have an Oompa Loompa :clown:

EEK and A-C-K Twinks!

That's a lot of things to be grateful for under yucky circumstances.

Hope the family is better soon!

I finally bit the bullet and got my nails done (and eyebrows). I almost walked out after waiting 20 minutes, but the shop owner lady talked me into waiting. I survived it, barely escaping death by boredom.

However, the last most deadly period (waiting for the drying of the polish), was enlivened when I read the headline of the local newspaper to another lady. "Westgate to lay off another 1,000 workers" (Local timeshare company). That resulted in a 15 minute discussion with the lady, another customer and the shop owner lady about the sad state of the economy. Slow business for nail salons, troops coming home to no job if Obama ends the war, nobody shopping at Nordstroms, hating to look at 401K statements, etc etc. blah blah...

Well, for once I waited long enough for nails to dry though, LOL.

Hello, Moovers. How was everyone's weekend? (don't answer that if it involved beurking).

Twink...I'll keep my fingers crossed that Gabe doesn't get sick and the rest of the household gets better posthaste! Maybe we need to reinstate the "I hate feeling like this: :crazy2: " Club. Idk, stranger things have happened...

Steph
...So sorry to hear of the passing of your mother-in-law. Wishing you all peace during this time. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers.

Sandy...will be keeping your son and your entire family in my prayers as well. I can't even imagine what you're going through. Many hugs and positive thoughts.

Cel...I was in Cincinnati this weekend, too. Just sayin. AND, I spelled it correctly!! ;) Are you stalking me? It was actually a pretty decent weekend there, weather-wise.

Wanna hear something stupid? OKAY! Tomorrow we all have to watch the inauguration from 11-2 or something like that. I would definitely plan on talking about the inauguration with them and watching a bit of it, but 3 hours? Really??? My 8 year olds are so NOT going to enjoy that. I found a website with Barack Obama coloring pages and I'm printing out oodles of those to entertain us through the ceremonies. Maybe we'll take a Simon Says break, too. Those are always goog.

Double ACK, Twink! So sorry you didn't escape the yuckiness :crazy2: Fingers crossed that Gabe stays well!

Peej - Barack Obama coloring pages? Cereally??! ;)

barackobama02.jpg

I think a lot of people in my building are going to be hanging out in our concession stand tomorrow watching the inauguration stuff on the TV that plays Headline News all the time. I figure the highlights will be playing all evening and I can just catch those.

Peej - 3 hours? That's just plain stupid. Those poor kids. I've never watched an inauguration before and I don't plan to start now.

DH is taking tomorrow off to watch the festivities. Im thinking of congratating in the cafeteria at noon to watch the whole thing live. Kind of be in the moment with the people, ya know? Sort of like watching the verdict for OJ, only better.

I googled yesterday. CNN.com/live should be showing it on computers (Unless it's blocked)

Peej, yikes, 3 hours of that stuff with 8 year olds? My condolensces. Maybe some Beyonce is in order........

MP, any other time I would agree with you, but this time there is such great excitement and energy, I am sure it will NOT be a snorefest.

Plus he is great speaker!

I think I'm annoyed at the fact that we're being told we MUST have it on for those 3 hours. I think they should have let us know we were to talk about the inauguration with our kids and show at least a certain amount of it. Then the rest could be left up to us. It is an important moment. Making history. I get that. I just finished up my plans. We will not only be coloring Barack, we will also be working with our multiplication flashcards and taking an outdoor break. I will also flat out admit that I'm going to put it on mute for about 20 minutes so we can get our silent sustained reading time in. So fire me.

Our lil PeeJ is rebelling!!!!!!!!!! What is the world coming to? Where did the popcorn smilie go? I cant find it!

So I'll send this instead. :crazy2:
