Twinkie -- I heard it has a lot to do with genes too. I am just glad both kids have my husbands genes when it come to teeth. The guy has never had a cavity in his live, me I have a mouth full of silver and white. Problaby more then I have real teeth. Hope the princess feels better soon.

Lynnette-- nice to see you didn't float away. My kids are serving tonight for Holy Thursday and probably again on Sunday when some of the servers don't show up. It has been really bad for that lately. Lots of running about in deed me too for Sunday anyway.

Mommy P -- I just assumed everyone got Good Friday off , that was until I read a thread on the CB. :confused3 It will be nice because Hubby will be home tomorrow and nothing is open to distract us from having family time. I got 3 dozen eggs to dye tomorrow and I am sure the kids wish it was more.

I saw on CB that a child got hit near Fort Wilderness this afternoon. So sad he was only 10 and he was riding a bike when a Disney bus hit him. Not other details have been given. The bus driver must feel really bad prayers to all families involved for sure.

I am right here.....because we had SUN..we stayed out today and went for a walk this morning and then SHE walked this afternoon after her nap......it was great to have the sun on my bod....YUP I enjoyed it.

We gave very little candy at Easter.....one bunny and then maybe something that they really liked.....but then they had chips or popcorn bags and also one gift..like summer like stuff....buckets with shovels....balls, one year the Easter bunny brought horseshoes for the older person....hahaha.

My arm feels loads better today and no one hit up against it.....I think somehow if you have a broken toe or a boo boo on your hand.......they stick out and you hurt them regardless.......weird I know.

Hope you have a good night everyone

OH HAS the dentist done the sealants on the teeth.......our kids had crevices and they did the sealants and they never had another filling....I think son had one or two and daughter had maybe three......never had another one after.....

Pumba - One has had sealents, and the others have appointments coming in the next couple weeks.

Nab - I saw that too. How awful. Where were his parents? I don't think a 10 year old should be riding his bike alone on streets as busy as Disney's.

My baby is cranky tonight. She is laying on the floor in the dining room looking into my bedroom at me and crying. lol. I already tried nursing her, I don't know what she wants. Early bed for sure.

Hey WT if you are reading this: Did you hear about Guam? ;)

NAB, I'll think of you on Sunday as I'm sprinting hither and yon, knowing that you'll be doing the same thing. ;)

Hey WT if you are reading this: Did you hear about Guam? ;)

:lmao::lmao::lmao: I heard that sound byte on talk radio this morning! Can you believe a man in his position could be that darn stupid?!?!?!?! Unbefreakinlievable!

HUH? what thing about Guam?

Moo, sorry about the work stuff, been there, done that a few times, it SUCKS!

Teeth: DS was no problem, DD needed $$ braces

Eggs: We used to dye and do plastic eggs with candy outside

I'm here. I was nervous yesterday about hosting the analyst meeting (well, for the last few weeks really, what to put on the agenda, where to hold it, etc)
I had things lined up with tasting and key access to the 15 floor, and boss coming to talk, but wasn't sure it was going to work out. Plus I am always nervous talking standing up in front of people, so that had me scared ( I can do it fine sitting down :confused3)

Anyway, so today was the day. My collegue at work had to work a shift at MK, as we have to do during really busy times, so it was just me, no moral support.

I confirmed 2 days ago about 30 people at the Wave and a meeting room on the 15th floor that is usually off limit and you need a special key to take the elevator there, unless you go through the kitchen, which is not good for the operation.
So yesterday I got a reply about the 15th floor access, they have one metal key, they can't just print cards, so I need to get the key. OK, fine, but I have 30 people to get up there, and slow with one elevator, so I called Cal Grill to see if they could help. No, you have to walk through the kitchen.
GREAT!
So I took the cast elevator up, walked a loooong way through the kitchen with people working, to find where I needed to to. Found it, set up just with table clothes as expected, all is good!
I figured on the way back, we could take the guest elevator, not thinking the entire 15th floor is blocked off. So then I had nightmares again about traipsing 30 people through the kitchen.

The meeting was scheduled for 3PM. At about 2, I walked down to the Wave to find the chef and make sure all was in order. No chef to be found, and nothing seemed set up for anything, just dinner. So I panicked some more. And this is just me alone, remember, I hate this stuff!
I thought of calling two people to come for emotional support, both of whom were off today, but finally got another good friend to show up.

At 2:43 I found the chef in his office eating lunch. I was scard to death he forgot.
He goes, are you 17 mins. early or am I late. I said no, I am early, just checking if things are set, he said they are.

So, we had dessert samples and a lecture (entertaining and informative) from the chef and a restaurant manager about wine, then a front office person (actually 2) got us up to the 15th floor for the meeting, which went great, (I think I did a decent job conducting it, whew, I was afraid to mess up) an there was a person at the end to get everyone down again through the guest elevators.
I got several compliments about good meeting and good setting. I tell you what, I am so relieved it is over and went well. I was nervous about it, and the way things were heading today didnt help any.

But all's well that ends well!

Wow, nice to see so many people today! Hello to Twink and Lynette :) Great ideas regarding Easter egg hunts. I bought a few plastic eggs for decorative purposes, but maybe I'll fill some.

Twink - I forgot to ask how you're leaning with respect to going back to work.

Lynette - Hope Natasha is able to have a fab birthday party! That's pretty inconvenient to have to detour around a closed road. I'm very happy that I'm only having eight people for Easter dinner. I think I may even take one of the leaves (leafs?) out of my table because it looks so big after adding one.

I also heard from Sandy on FB today. Maybe I need to send her the link to the current thread because she asked how everyone's doing.

Thanks everybodee for the moral support regarding the office drama. I wasn't feeling quite so shell-shocked over it today at work. I still have quite a bit of cleaning stuff to do (and am STILL procrastinating), so I decided to take tomorrow off. I got most of my grocery shopping for Easter dinner done tonight, but that's about it so far. I plan to work for a couple hours then sleep in tomorrow morning. I talked with Mari today and she said she expects to get home around 8:00 tomorrow. I canceled my workout for tomorrow night to make sure I'm here in case she gets here earlier. I can't wait to see her and to meet the boyfriend.

Marita - w00t on your meeting going well!!!!!!!! I prefer to be sitting when I have to talk to a group too. I don't know how you made it through the day without eating though! I went and picked up sushi for dinner. Yum.

MommyP - That's cool that you got to see the hot air balloons :thumbsup2 I hear you on the cavities and genes. My daughter sure has had a lot of cavities, but she has always been pretty stubborn about brushing :sad2: Gee, it was super warm here today. Wonder how our weather compared to yours.

Pumba - Glad your arm wasn't as ouchy today

Nabbie - So sorry to hear about that accident at Fort Wilderness. I have read about a lot of bike accidents in our local news lately. I don't think people watch as carefully for bikers early in the season. And there are all kinds of motorcycles out already too.

morning my friends..
Today is a bright sunny beautiful day...well so far it is. I will take Ava and walk to the college and back and hopefully get the needed vitamin D....although I take my vitamin D supplement like a good girl...hahaha...

Hope you all have a great Easter weekend and Easter.

Tomorrow Megara goes to the vet to get her heartworm and lyme test.....alot of that going around. and it is scarey for our pets. She gets her meds but still they can get it. THEY can also do her pedicure and manicure.....hey she has back and front feet right?????

Ava will be here in a few and I had better get my stuff ready for the bumpkin......I do enjoy having her with me....otherwise I would be in my jammies still.

BYE

Marita - Glad to hear your meeting went well.

Moo - It was about 82 yesterday(in the shade). But our humidity is down this week due to a cool front. Saturday is supposed to be 85, which means it'll be warmer inland where we are. Because the humidity is low it's still getting cool at night, so we haven't had to put the ac on yet. Probably today.

It's a holiday and I am up early. :sad2:

Hannah's friend from school callled last night and asked her to go on an Easter egg hunt this morning with her family. They are picking her up in a few minutes because the hnut starts at 9:00. Like to know whos bright idea that was to have it so early.

Must say it is sunny and bright out here too. Suppose to be pretty warm too!

We went to church last night, it is the first time I went on Holy Thursday. People got their feet washed. I declined but quite a few did. Then they strip the alter down and cover everthing up. Our priest sang must of the mass, it was so beautiful. It was surreal almost it was 2 hours long but went fast. Both kids got called in to serve so that is how I happened to go this time and I am so glad I did.

Moo-- How exciting that Mari will be home tonight!

Marita --did you wear your new celery coloured suit? I could not do the standing in front of people and talk either.

Mari's home! We like the new boyfriend :thumbsup2

We had pizza for dinner and now they're off to visit some of her friends.

I got most everything done that I wanted to do cleaning-wise except for the laundry room. I'll probably work on that a bit this evening.

Happy weekend, Moovers! :cool1:

Today's weather was absolutely GORGEOUS! Natasha had a beautiful day for her party...she was thrilled! We had her friends here from 2-6. The girls decorated t-shirts with fabric paints and stencils, then went outside for pizza on the deck. We had ice cream cake (Natasha's not a fan of regular cake. :confused3), and then the girls decorated cupcakes that Natasha and I baked this morning. They played outside for a while, and then they came in and played games (they even asked me to join them! :goodvibes).

Boris took Mojo out to play on the other side of the yard for most of the party, and then hung out with my mom until all the girls had gone home. I guess he wasn't interested in dealing with that many girls.

After the party was done and the cleanup was accomplished, I started my cooking for Easter. :goodvibes I'm feeling pretty good about things. House is clean, cooking is underway, and the girl had a party that she deemed "SO WORTH waiting for!"

Moo, YAY on liking the new BF! Hope you enjoy your time with Mari.

NAB, I don't think I'd go for the foot-washing either. :scared:

Pumba, glad you could get out and get some sun. Wasn't it a welcome change from all that rain and dreariness?

Where is Marita today?

oh yes another day of sheer bliss.......Good thing it was today that Time Warner decided to go wacko....no phone, internet or tv all day.....the whole neighborhood......I will give them a piece of my mind on Monday when their office opens......I want a rebate.......

I have to say that my kiddos didnt like cake either when they were growing up......Our son was born on Thanksgiving day (real Turkey day) and he has always preferred a pie for his birthday......and our daughter was not a fan of sweet stuff like frosting...go figure.......
So Easter Sunday dessert will be pineapple upside down cake and strawberry short cake.....YUMMY.

Tomorrow have to get up early for Megara's appointment........so see you later gators.......and I am so happy that internet came back.....withdrawals for sure:surfweb:

Moo, YAY for liking the new BF! I doubt he will go into your laundry room or pay much mind to it.

Lynt, w00t for a great party. I have no cooking at all planned :)

I woke up in the middle of the night and then woke up way late this morning, so I called in today. :3dglasses I got a load of laundry done and vacuumed and did some grocery shopping. I decided Tacos are my new "chicago rolls with procsiutto and buttercheese", at least for a while, but I got some of the former anyway as backup and put the rolls inI ha the freezer, as they get hard as a rock before you blink an eye.

No idea what I will make for Easter dinner, not a big occasion in my house since there are no kids. Just like any other day here.

what a simply GORGEOUS day out here......can't believe that it is hot...YUP HOT......our plants are confused......so that means that the mosquitos and ticks are confused...Megara started her heartworm and lyme meds this month instead of May. She was not happy with going to the vet ...but she came home calm and happy......
We went to Home Depot and got some of that artifical turf so that the weeds wont come up on the cukes and tomatoes......it is lazy way but whatever works as my husband said....
Banana bread is made, and so is the angel food cake .....strawberries are thawing peacefully in the fridge.....one dozen hard boiled eggs that will be our deviled eggs.....I LOVE THESE......so the rest can wait......

I second that it is a beautiful day out there yesterday was the same. We were at the inlaws yesterday.

Today we went to the mall to see the Easter Bunny and get fluffy ears free. Can't beat that. Hannah got new sandals and Nicholas got a new white shirt to wear with his suit.

Just finished up dying your three dozen eggs. Most will be made into egg salad sandwiches but think I will make some deviled ones for dinner tomorrow too.

Moo-- Glad you like the new boyfriend. It must seem strange though having someone else in the house when your so used to just having the three of you and the dogs.

Lynette -- hope your Easter Dinner goes well tomorrow. I am cooking a turkey and haven't done that in a long time. Not sure how hubby can get up from sleeping all day to eat a big turkey dinner....:lmao: Then he will be off to work again.

Mommy P- I don't envy you going to the grocery store today and with all the kids. But your kids seem very well behaved, at least they were when I meet them.

Hope the kids go to bed early tonight so I am not up all night hiding eggs by myself. Hannah said she was leaving a note for the Easter Bunny...asking him if he wants to buy a box of Girl Guide cookies. :rotfl2:

I 3rd the gorgoes day! I slept in till 1pm today  I hate that!
When I finally got up, there was no newspaper on the couch. Usually hubby is up way before me on weekends and reads the paper and goes back to bed for a nap, so I thought, OH NOOO! Did he die?????????. Then I remembered he has to work on Saturdays for a month :sad2:

I did more work on my fun work project this afternoon, but now I need to go get some wine and see if they can fit me in for a pedicure before they close at 7, I am wayyy past due. Think I'll pick up some dye and color a few eggs tonight for the heck of it too. Nab, deviled eggs is a good idea, as is egg salad, just wish I had a toaster at work.

Nab, the washing of feet reminds me of an old German joke/saying, whatever it is:
"Come in children, eat your salad, Papa wants to wash his feet"

Just put Hannah to bed , here is her letter to the Easter Bunny.

Dear Easter bunny,
How are you I am fine?
If you have any money on
you would you like to buy
some boxes of Girl Guide
cookies? $4.00 a box. I hope
you do plus thank you if you do. From Hannah

HAPPY EASTER

Then she had Easter eggs in all colour under that

Plus she has a huge carrot out on a small plate sitting beside it. With 2 boxes of cookies. :rotfl2:

I guess I better dig up $4.00.

LOL Nab! how cute is that?

$4? I think you better dig up $8, she put out 2 boxes!

I bought some egg dye tonight while waiting for pedicure place to have some time, they were packed! I need to some get up and go to actually color some. Plus I am hoping to make a cheese cake tonight. Not sure how far I will get with any of those things.
Oh, and I bought some pretty potted pink and white tulips. Let's see how long they live....
DD called tonight and said she wants to go to sunrise mass with hubby tomorrow before converting to Judaism :scared1:, I asked if I could tag along. So, I have have to wake up at 4:30 or so tomorrow. Wish me luck!!!

I finally got Twilight:New Moon from on Demand movies. Just as boring so far as the book, but then again, I am hardly paying attention, the tone of the movie is just so monotone and boring so far. Plus, its 4 hours long!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Luckily i have till 8pm tomorrow to finish watching it. It should get better later with more action. Glad I didnt see it in the theater, 4 hours???????????????

Dog with bad hips!

Just found a photo album DD posted on FB!
