Moo- How creative! You did a great job with the PEEPs and the office party. I am like Pumba and don't know anyone who actually likes PEEPs. They are just part of the culture. My mom did find and send me some chocolate mousse peeps for valentines... they were good in a diabetic shock sort of way.

Marita- What lovely pictures! You and Backstage Guy are adorable and have beautiful children.

NAB- How did the hot chocolate go? I couldn't figure out what you were talking about with my last name then I remembered the return address label! You know my real last name... the label is wrong. I don't know how or why but a whole list of charities send us labels all the time with the correct address but wrong name. It isn't the previous owners, it is my husband's first name. Either that or I am really a CIA agent with multiple identities.

Moo -- I don't think chocolate would taste very good on some of those things.

Celery-- saw your cute new puppy. Are you going to take both dogs on the road with you or don't you travel anymore. The Easter Bunny could only come up with money for one box of cookies. It is terrible when you use your debit card more then cash.

Twinkie-- Chocolate is evil I tell you. Especially if you breast feed I am sure. Lots of caffine there.

The scouts did break the record by a lot. Old record 85 US gallons, new record 145 US gallons . I took pictures of the cup. Will have to get hubby to put them in the computer. I would try but everytime I save to somewhere it is lost for good. They weighed the hot chocolate, it was 1200 lbs when done. It took longer for them to fill so they had something like 1100lbs of hot chocolate left. Because people came had a hot dog and left. We did this but came back an hour later and there were not to many people left,which was a shame because it was for a good cause.

And I'm weird - i like chocolate and cheese together, but I've never tried one dipped in the other. I'd probably like it.

Cel and Nabbie - Other than the string cheese, I think only one person bit into something before they knew what it was (the jalapeno pepper)! My friend Deb told me that a few of the items got some good laughs.

We had lots of stuff like pretzels, nilla wafers, rice crispy treats, etc. for actual dipping in melted chocolate as part of the treats. The strawberries and other fruit went really fast. The caramel bugles were my absolute favorite! Those things are evil, I tell ya!!!

morning everyone..
Hubby and I were both zonked this morning....he left at 5 am and I got up at 6:45......poor Megara thought we were under attack by a thunder storm ...it was raining and she could hear that and then a few trucks went by and made a noise.....so she was in distress for at least an hour....she would pant and pace and try to dig a hole into the rug to get away from it......when we do have a thunder storm she gets so anxious with it......Doctor said that if he gave us valium to give to her she would be zonked for five or so hours...so not a good idea if we can keep her calm.....so at ten of three I was watching CSI Miami to see if I could make noise for her.....

Waiting for Ava to come......sun is out and probably wont have her but a few more weeks.....then she goes back to her other auntie..

No rain here but it sure looks like the sky could open up any minute.

Moo-- did you watch BL last night. So glad they booted Melissa. I kind of wished she pushed that button and had not lost that much weight. Can't believe Sam lost that much but good for him. I think Koli is focusing to much on Sam and not himself. Glad they all want to win on there own merit.

Pumba-- You are going to be tired today if you were up at much with the storm. Nap when Ava does.

Well I am off to church again. Kids school mass there today instead of the school. Hannah is in the choir and wants me to see her. The school is so big they have to do one in the moring and one in the afternoon. I am only going this morning.

Nabbie - I was VERY happy that they booted Melissa too!!! You could really see their weight loss this week. I noticed that they went to the sleeveless shirts for the guys instead of no shirts and the fitted tank tops for the women instead of the sports bras this week.

It will be fun to see Danny on next week's show Koli kind of ticked me off on a previous show over how he dissed Stephanie saying she was game playing. I don't think she was any more than the rest of them. I thought it might have been out of jealousy over her relationship with Sam.

I was able to telecommute for the first time in several weeks today. It was nice to be able to look out the window and see how things are greening up, but it rained off and on all day.

They go to shirts now because they usually have loose skin hanging so they wear a gridle type thing. It holds everything in and it makes them look skinny. Mind you they are all looking good now.

Rained here off and on all day too. The grass is really getting green now.

Moo, I'm here. anaother frigging forecast week here. I sent a work email at 1:10am last nigt and got up at 6:20 (amazingly, I don't usually here the alarm that early). Anyway, stressful day and I am tired as helk, so I am heaiding to bed shortly.

Pumba - When are you and your DH going to WDW? We are going to be there over Memorial Day weekend. Would be cool to see a DIS-friend again. Haven't had a DISmeet in SOOOOOOOOOOOOO long.

Marita - Heck yeah we care. I want to see! I DH was minutes from being able to see it while on the I-75 bridge over the river. That would have been a awesome viewing point. I was sleeping. UGH! I didn't even know it was going to happen and he didn't think I'd want to be woke up?

WIC today.

Ellie officially crawled for the first time yesterday and I was able to catch it on video!

Chad doesn't have school tonight.

Monday marks our 45 days from our trip last chance to cancel time and guess what? Yesterday when we had to turn the AC back on we found that it's not working properly. It's running too much like last year when we had to replace the coil because the sulfer in our water coroded it. Well stupid USDA dragged their feet for months getting our financing and it was enough time to screw up the AC again. So that's going to cost like $400-$700. But I think Chad is still on with the trip, I think he is realizing that if I don't get a break from my normal routine of kids, dentists and crap I am probably going to go off the deep end and put my kids in school and get a job. lol.

I've lost a some weight. I gained like 6 pounds a few months ago and now it's all gone plus a few more. Yay! I've just stopped eating ice cream, snacks and no Saturday afternoon beer. lol. Plus we are walking a few nights a week and I've been trying to do some easy ab strengthing exercises. When we started going on walks I realized how wrecked my muscles are and my back would kill me. I thought I should fix that problem before Disney. Funny how after just a few times doing the ab workout my back feels so much stronger.

Downside is the really cute shorts I just got last weekend at Gap outlet are kinda big now.

I finally have time for some dreck and drivel and noone is around to play!!!!


Had to take Red to the doctor yesterday. He has strep throat AGAIN! I hope he doesn't have to eventually have his tonsils removed like Gigantor did.


My work hours are absolutely crazy. Sometimes I work days, sometimes evenings, sometimes nights. Sometimes I get called in for 4 hours, sometimes 8, sometimes 12, and sometimes 16. It's nice on the paycheck, but hard on the body.

A sort of yucky day today.....off and on mist and sprinkles......but that didnt stop the squirrel from coming to our acorn lilac bush.....it is an original....
This girl who is 14 and I used to babysit her from the time she was two weeks old.......well she came over today and we sat there watching the squirrel take the acorns off the lilac bush....so I tell her that it is an acorn tree....and she said I thought it was a lilac bush......and I said well this is a very rare type that also has acorns on it..and she was sucking that all in and was amazed as the squirrel would run and hide that one and come back and take another one off our very original tree......so finally I said she was seriously a girl that should of been a blonde.......she believed me and I had to tell her how Papa would hot gun glue the acorns to the branches.....I loved this....laughed my head off

We go to Disney the last week of Flower week.....and get to see Chubby Checker......YES YES

I have a day off scheduled for tomorrow, w00t!!! No plans, just whatever I feel like doing. Hubby ran the dishwasher today, so empty that, maybe wash the kitchen floor, maybe make a real dinner, we'll see. There's nothing I HAVE to do, which is great!

It has been pouring out all day, had to go out shopping in it too. That is the worse.

I just checked Nicholas FB wall. These girls are driving me crazy over there. He has not been allowed on the computer for a month now or talking on MSN. Well now the girlfriend that got him grounded is calling him a cheater. Well this topic comes up over there with him all the time. How the heck can he be cheating if he doesn't date? He does not take them out, I have not met any of these girls but they all are saying he cheats on them. Since when is talking to other girls cheating They mentioned one girl who I know he is just friend with. This is one I do know that he hangs out with and she has a boyfriend as well, she has been to the house. She wrote something like he didn't hang out with her everyday because he was too busy. Well he is home playing his games, playing street hockey with the guys. On weekends he goes out with us. Nicholas told me the girls get mad because we go out on the weekend and he can't hang out with them. I hate seeing him labeled as a cheater over there. Not sure what to do so tempted to write something on the wall over there but that would only embarrass him.

Why couldn't he just stay a little boy and play with toys.

I found this recipe tonight, it sounds really good. Even though they call it "German" I never had it or heard of it in Germany, but I think I will try it this weekend. Fruit, cinnamon an sour cream can't be bad, right?

Speaking of cake, I think I will go make a Pumba cheesecake now. If I oversleep tomorrow, no big deal

Nabbie - Sounds like you've really got your hands full! Unfortunately, with the FB stuff, it's best to be hands off and just coach Nicholas a bit on how to handle the comments if they bother him. It's usually best to just ignore them even though they are frustrating to you as a parent.

Pumba - My hubby and I were watching a recorded Gene Simmons' Family Jewels tonight and he was talking about doing the twist and they showed a photo of him with Chubby Checker Loved your acorn lilac bush story!!!

MommyP - Hope you're able to go on your trip. Hubby just told me that we're getting a tax refund so we'll use that to pay for our Hilton Head trip Memorial Day weekend. w00t!!! I'm SO ready for vacation right now. Wish it were sooner.

well, my vacation day off is to a not so great start! I woke up at 3am, wide awake, and stayed up. It's 4:30 right now. I need to go back to bed, but then I'm bound to sleep late, but I can't really stay up either.
Why the heck don't they deliver the paper by 4 am?

Hubby and I had a little discussion tonight as he was leaving at 4 am. I mentioned that I dont have to work tomorrow, and he said "you never work on Saturday". I said "tomorrow is Friday". This was followed by some back and forth, including me trying to show my taped shows from today (yesterday) that clearly said Thursday. Until it occured to me that 4am, it really is Friday already, so that would make tomorrow Saturday, oops!

so that the ASPCA knows.....we use non toxic glue....Kids could eat it and be happy. BUT the squirrel takes off the shell and spits that out.....All over the lawn of course....but seeing the little face and him/her looking at us thru the window is priceless......I did try to take a photo of it but I got a flashback thru the window.....
The shuttle photo is amazing......what an incredible site to see..

We watched two sessions of Chubby Checker last year...Was well worth it......I even got to meet another Dis person after the show and chat with her,..

Moo-- Nicholas has been grounded so he hasn't seen what she wrote yet. It is me who is getting mad that they call him that. You think he was Tiger Woods or Jesse James the way they talk.

And yes it is Friday today Marita you are right have lots to do today since I am heading to my mom's this weekend for a Stag and Doe Saturday and double birthday party on Sunday. Hubby is again working. They are going to start thinking there is something wrong that he isn't with me twice now I do hate driving across Toronto on the busy busy highway but what are you going to do.

First of all, I couldn't sleep last night either. I finally came out to the couch at like 2 and watched lost and then finally fell asleep until Chad got up for work then I went to sleep in our room.

Second of all, LOL! Arguing with your hubby in the middle of the night and you were wrong because it was already today. Priceless!


Last night in the shower Chad mentioned that he could really tell I was losing weight, especially in my belly. I had never told him I was doing some ab exercises because I'm just doing easy stuff 4 days a week for 10 minutes. I wanted to see if it was really doing anything and if he would notice and it is! Yay!
