The recumbent exercise bike in front of the fireplace kind of detracts from the whole look I'm going for, but I don't have an alternate place to put it right now.

:lmao::lmao::lmao: That was just quoteworthy.

Maybe your look is "Early Home Gym". I can tell you that mine is "Retro Lego". Ha.

NAB-

Sorry to be such a drive bye-er these days. News of the hour: I have to decice by Mar 31 if I want to teach next fall. :teacher: :headache: Feel free to post any words of wisdom.

Twinkie-- that is a short time to decide since that is tomorrow.:lmao: Good luck with your decision.

Moo-- I didn't want you to clean alone so I spent the whole day cleaning too. I must say once it is done and clutter free in front hall it looks great. My living room too. And it was warm enough outside to open some window for a bit. I will be ready tonight to sit and watch all my shows tonight. Melissa better not come back. I think Sherry might make it back, she looked pretty good on her update picture.

Pumba-- I hate to tell you but I told you that it was going to hurt today.

On the upside Nicholas got an award at school today for the most improved student for the month in grade 7. :woohoo: He has settled down because he doesn't want to start the two weeks over again with a dance coming up next Friday.

Nab NAB....picking on a poor piggy when she is down....Ava grabbed me by my arms and I thought OMG NAB said it would hurt and guess what...IT DID..

My daughter teaches math at a special school for kids that cant be mainstreamed into public school ....because of their behavior. She has three more classes to take to get her special ed certification....I did tell her that special ed in a public school would probably be a piece of cake.....

So whats new on the planet besides the rain in Maine makes us all soggy and wet......and muddy and flooding and yucky

I just had a very disturbing IM from an "old friend". His name showed up, but with a message from a porn site and what seemed was a live conversation when I answered if i wanted to chat with a ho.... girl, cause I thought it was some sort of silly, sick joke, but it turned out I got a website link. Then I tried to IM the friend, and got the same girl/site back. Very scary.....

OKEY I PASSED...

YES SIR ...I did.....my A1C is blood test for diabetics to see where your blood sugars have been for the last three months....like an average.....and my test was 6.0....do you realize that it is just one to many to be a normal person.....I mean a non diabetic should be under 6.0....and a diabetic should be under 7.0 for control of the disease.....well by golly I controlled good for three months even with that peanut butter fudge I ate......and I mean ATE.

the rest of my blood was good too......I am so excited....or can you tell...

Marita I hope that the site wasnt a virus too....get rid of it and run a scan too...weird...but gross too.......I used to search for stuff and I always got porno.....have no idea what I did but haven':rotfl2:t had that issue in years.....guess the sites knew I was an old broad

Pumba. congrats on your great scores, w00t!

I'm an old broad too. This web person actually said: You aren't a kid, are you? Like live real time chat, not just a bot, it was weird and scary!

Long time no type, I know. :guilty: I do watch what people are saying on FB, for those of you who are. I guess I just haven't posted in a while because, well, lets face it. My daily posts could all be the exact same:

Goog Morning!

School today and then laundry, vacuuming and other tidying up before Chad gets home. Isaac is driving me nuts, Ellie is growing fast. Planning a make believe trip to WDW(again).

With the occasional:

Bringing ______ to the doctors/dentist today.

Right? My life is so boring. Chad wonders why I get upset when he takes calls from people at work while he is home, or why I don't want him to work on a Saturday and then take a 2+ hour nap on Sunday afternoon...

Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

I'm taking the day off of school today so we can clean. LOL! I went to the dentist yesterday, was there for TWO hours. Have to go back again next week and the week after. Our cats were due for abortions yesterday, but the little buggers must have known something was up because they had their kittens over the weekend.(who knows where though, they went out into the woods). I didn't bother taking the other ones in 1) because we couldn't catch one of them and 2) I wasn't driving an hour just to have to come back again when the kittens are weened.

It's a perfect gorgeous Florida week here. Monday started out raining and yucky, but now it's going to be a cloudless week each day getting warmer until Saturday. Which is going to be our first beach day since last fall. Unless they ask Chad to work.

But I'll gladly send him to work overtime for now because we're going to Disney World!!!!!!!!!!!! :woohoo:

May 26(day after my bday)-May 31 I've been selling everything I can on craigslist and diaperswappers. Chad had a side job, we have an extra check in April and he's going to take any overtime offered. So as long as nothing breaks(which I am totally counting on happening, ugh) we are going to be going. We were originally going to go mid may and upgrade our GAD tickets to the Florida Res. dream pass, which would have only cost us $20 per person. We would have had 4 park days, no hopping for very little cost. BUT...I talked him into season passes. LOL You know, so that way we can go over memorial day with a paid day off and he and I can go to FW in the fall. ;) We are booked at POR with dining. So awesome you can add dining to an AP rate without having to purchase tickets other than your AP. :woohoo:

So anyhoo, that's about it. I need to post some current pics of our chickens. They are growing SO fast. Both of my little bantams are laying now. Not everyday, but like 2 days in a row and then a day off The Easter Eggers are getting huge and we think the ugly rooster we named, "stew pot" is actually a girl, so her life has been spared. :thumbsup2

/
Hi MommyP, nice to see you around. I LOVE your chicken pictures. You need to check out my latest sewing adventure. The pictures are *over there*.;) I am in no way talented like you area, but I think I did a pretty good job for an amateur. :lmao: WOOT on the trip!!:thumbsup2

morning.,

Another depressingly YUCKY day....how much can it rain for goodness sakes....Remember the song,...How highs the water mama......two feet high and rising.......how highs the water papa two feet high and rising........Did Johnny Cash sing this one???? Well the water is high and overflowing bankings and roads and dams are being breached....so yah we are done enough....ENOUGH MOTHER NATURE......get on with it.
BUT on the other hand...
This weekend we will be in the high 70s to the low 80's .....can you believe that change....YUP its Maine and if you dont like the weather wait a few.....

38 days until our vacation.....can hardly wait:dance3:

Allie - Great sewing project! Twinkie told me she has been dabbling in a little sewing too because she got a sewing machine. Isn't it fun to make things? I've made a couple slings recently(one for someone I met at Walmart and one for Twinkie) I also made Ellie a new dress last Sat. afternoon and I mostly finished one for Mercedes on Sat. night. Ellie's is reversable and Mercedes is a peasant top dress, but since I cannot figure out for the life of me how to get Chad's Mom's serger(borrowing it) to work the inside seams are only zigzaged which I hate. I don't like making things that look homemade.

Pumba - Hope your rain stops soon.

Marita - Stay off the porn chat sites. ;)

Mommy P-- I feel the same way when posting. :lmao: My life is not that exciting. Yay for you going to WDW. What do you do for Easter?

Pumba-- how is your arm today? No rain here. Actually suppose be feel like summer the next few day , but come Easter Sunday they drop real fast.

Marita-- Who odd that you got a link like that. I hate searching for pictures for the kids because you are bound to find bad pictures too. We looked up trees for a project, those were not tree types.

Found out Hubby has to work all weekend ( shouldn't complain though it is all double time) But that does mean I have to hid all the eggs myself, if you remember we hide over hundred eggs. The kids love this and are really good at finding them so this year they will be in cupboards, and anything else I can put them in with out waking them up.

Nab - We really don't do anything for Easter. We already "celebrated" (and I use that word lightly) 2 weeks ago, on a Saturday and NOT with ham. I don't know what my families problem is. We don't do Easter baskets for the boys because it's expensive and there are not allowed candy anymore after my last month that I have spent practically LIVING at the dentist. I would love to hide eggs for them to find, but they would not be excited about it unless there was candy in them. Boys suck. ;) When my sisters and I were little we would have hunts everyday for WEEKS after Easter and with EMPTY eggs.

We can't even have a big Sunday Easter lunch because of church and church is 45 minutes away. Plus I hate cooking these days. We were told that we could just show up at my sisters in-laws, but I just have too many kids. lol.

So we'll probably have tuna or some other non Easter food. Last year we had baked potatoes. :)

The kids do that too....after they are empty they will hide them again. Or we will find eggs that were not found all though the year because we hide them to well and forgot were there were. :lmao:

I only put two little solid chocolate in each egg. The they empty them in a big bowl to share. They just like the hunt.

And since Hannah is older this year I am not making easy to find. In previous years I would put them out in the open so she could at least find some. I also put equal amount of eggs in their bedrooms to make it some what fair. That is where they have to start.

This year will be hard because Nicholas has to do his church job first so he was complaining that Hannah will have an hour lead on him. So I think I am going to make her wait. Maybe she can hunt in her room only. Good thing both are heavy sleepers and don't catch me in there after they are sleeping.

As for cooking always hated it but I am putting in a turkey anyways. Would love to be at mom's because she goes all out and all the rest of the family will be there.

It would be very much impossible for us to hunt for eggs in the morning. A few months ago our church went to two services, we go to the early so we have a longer afternoon. We have to leave for church at 7am. LOL.

Maybe I will pick up some plastic eggs Friday and some chocolates. Is chocolate equally as bad for teeth? Hmm...I am going to go ask my Dentist friend. lol.

That is pretty early to leave for church. I get up at 7:30 to get Nicholas to church for 8:30, I just get up and get dressed and drop him off. Go home and then get ready for the day and get back to church for service at 11:00 where Nicholas is alter server. He is at church for 4 hours and hears it twice. A lot of good it is doing. :lmao:

Dentist don't like chocolate milk so they will definitely won't like chocolate. You could always put stickers or other things in them if you wanted to get up during the night to hide them for an early morning hunt. :rotfl2:

Took the kids to their swimming lessons only to find they had to drain the pool and classes were cancelled.

Still plugging away on the housecleaning. Two more days until my daughter's home!!!

Rough day at work today. We are undergoing a reorganization and they are reducing the number of divisions, which forced my Division Chief and some others (including a good friend of mine) to compete for the lesser number of Division Chief positions. Neither my Division Chief nor my friend were selected for the positions -- our Assistant Division Chief was appointed to head up my Division, so my Division Chief retired today. He is over 60 and had that as his back-up plan, but it was a huge shock and will be a major brain drain. My friend is not retirement age, so she will be stuck with a demotion of some sort and will have to interview again for a position. A bunch of us were just   :sad1: today.

Nabbie - I'm so ticked that Stephanie is out ant that Melissa is back on BL! Grrr. I was sad that John didn't get another chance to come back too. I thought that challenge really was stacked toward the smaller, fitter contestants. I would have been happier if Miggy had won the challenge. John had virtually no chance to win it. Harumph!

Lynette - I see over yonder that you're up to your ears in water like Pumba. Hope things settle down. We had awesome weather today. Too bad there was too much drama at my office for me to get outside for a walk this afternoon.

Nab - My dentist friend said that studies have shown that DARK chocolate actually can help prevent cavities, but not milk chocolate. It's just as bad as sugar candy. However he said most cavities are caused by sugar drinks and fruit drinks and even MILK. Plain milk, who would have thought that. So I guess I just need to make them brush after every meal when they have milk or juice, which they hardly have juice anymore since WIC stopped giving as much stuff.

Good Friday - Is a pretty much non-holiday here. I'm pretty sure even the mail delivers. The only things maybe closed are doctors offices and the like. Walmart NEVER closes except for major hurricanes and Christmas. :)

This morning we heard a super exciting sound. The swhooooooooosh of a hot air balloon. I heard it, but couldn't see it at first because of all the trees around our house. I was in my bathroom when I heard it(my brother had already called and said he had heard one too) I looked out and it was right above the tree line in my backyard! So we all ran outside to see it(Isaac was THRILLED), then I heard another one behind us. There were two! It's so beautiful to see big colorful GIANT balloons against the cloudless blue skies. Such a good start to the day. And even more amazing was the fact that we could see our breath on APRIL 1st! That's not something we're used to! lol.

Tomorrow is my Ethan's birthday. I could only find one thing for him(we've resorted to thrift store shopping for birthdays because it's SO much cheaper and they tear everything up anyway. lol) because I forgot his birthday was SO close and only had last Sunday onthe way home from church to look. :/ I told him and he was okay with it. He wants just the money so he can save up for a archery set from Bass Pro. So I'm off the hook.

I actually never cleaned yesterday, I need to do it today. The house HAS to be clean for the weekend, it's just a thing I have. lol

Not much time to post, but I wanted to say I am enjoying the posts and edits around here.

A few thoughts:

teeth: my dentist says there is also a huge genetic component.... I have some kids with good teeth and one who has cavities like you would not believe ..... good and frequent brushing does help but my dentist actually told me not to get mad at her because between the shape of her teeth (very ridged) and her softer-than-usual enamal cavities are inevitable.... we do have her on prescription toothpaste once a day and it seems to be helping but so may the supervision (since the toothpaste is much more toxic than regular we stand over her and time her for 2 minutes every night... for after breakfast she uses regular toothpaste and nobody watches)

and yes- water is the beverage of choice, especially to end a meal because sugary drinks just coat the teeth

Job stress: Sorry Moo. Times are tough these days. I need my teenager to get a job.

Good Friday: Preschool is closed. That is it. Even odder, my kids have ball practice tonight.... Maundy Thursday.

Easter Eggs: We dye real eggs and hide them in the house usually. My kids play egg hunt with plastic eggs for months. You could try money. Have 1 cent in some eggs, more in others. Also in years past I filled the eggs with "tickets" that could be spent on candy and easter junk.... that way the treat was basically the easter basket and I could make it fair between the much older brother and the tiny twinkie twins. He was quite old (like last year... ok two years ago) before he got the concept of leave the easy eggs for the little people.

Kids Sports: We are back. Three kids playing ball.

Babies: I hear that the BBN is working alot. Also THREE of my friends had babies on Tuesday. How odd is that? My own personal baby is sick. I am headed to the doctor in a few minutes.

Last edited by TwinkieMama; Today at 09:54 AM. Reason: I wish Disney would make me an offer I can't refuse. Grasshopper turns 3 in Nov.

I hope they make you an offer too, some time between May 27, 2010 and May 27, 2011, so that we can come up there and see you. :)

What is wrong with your baby??

Hi Moo! Sorry about the re-org at your work. That's icky and stressful.

Actually, with the exception of the woods in my yard, we fared quite well compared to most in this neck of the woods. There is a GIANT flood out yonder in the trees, but it doesn't really affect us, thank the Lord. Our basement always gets puddles here and there in the spring. Luckily, we didn't get any more water than usual, even with all this rain. The brook at the side of my property (which is an off-shoot of a pretty sizable river) swelled enormously. So much so that the road over it (my street) was compromised and had to be shut down for well over a week. The town has had to put a halt on re-working the culvert because of the second storm we just had. I assume that the project will resume after the weekend. :confused3

Twink! Good to see you! Got your card a few days ago. ;) Sorry to hear that the tiniest Twinkie is not well. Hope she's better STAT!

1. Yup....water is our beverage of choice too. My kids are not allowed to drink soda of any sort. Ever. My darling(?) brother tells me that I run my house like a boot camp, but that's our rule.

2. At our house, the Easter Bunny hides plastic eggs filled with an assortment of things. Some eggs contain coins, some contain small, inexpensive stuff like funky shaped pencil erasers, hair accessories, small toys, etc. The Bunny leaves a poem each year with clues about where the eggs are hidden. The last egg for each child always contains a few dollar bills.

Big weekend ahead. Tomorrow is Natasha's rescheduled birthday party. She turned 9 last Friday, but the storms and the closing of our street caused us to have to postpone the party we had originally scheduled for last Saturday. Luckily, school is closed in Lalijackville on Good Friday, so we're having the party tomorrow at 2pm.

As usual, I am hosting Easter dinner. Looks like there will be only about 16-18 of us for dinner. However, Big Daddy has to work at Job #2 on Sunday from 10-4 , and Natasha is supposed to serve at the 9:30 Mass. So there'll be lots of running around.

Everyone else: !!!!! Happy Easter!!!!!!!!!!!
