MOOvers - 2011 Edition

Hello.......GUESS WHAT.??
THe dog slept in and so did I...whoooooooooo whoooooooooo...

Then my neighbor asked me over for pancakes and bacon.......I made my coffee really quick and nice to do that for me.

Last night granddaughter and her beau came over and kept me company and checked on me.....I love them...

Then for lunch my neighbor and I went to Davincis and had a nice lunch....I have been busy in between breakfast and lunch and now.....cleaning out stuff that will go to Kaitlynn when she leaves for college.....she is staying with some friends in a house with four bedrooms....so she doesnt have to share at least...

Just did two loads of laundry and talked to the dog.......picked up her back yard land mines and get that ready for Mondays trash pick up.....hey tomorrow isnt Monday......big big sigh........I miss the old goat.....hahaha.

turned the filter on the little pool and cleaned out alot of those Japanese beetles that have come from no where......havent had that many in a long time..

Pumba, it seems every year there is an influx of a certain type of insect and this year i am thinking its those darn beetles. I can't walk out of the house without one flying right into me. Last year it was grasshoppers and the year before that it was ladybugs.

The tread mill and I are still friends. I was able to do my two miles with 20 minutes of running and 10 minutes of walking. I am not fasty by any means, but its progress.

Hope the threatening clouds just pass over, we have a graduation party to attend to.

Our cousins have a son with downs and the school I was observing at, he attended. I got to see his completion ceremony. I felt so thankful to be there for him and the family. Now it's celebration time!

My brother called tonight, (right as I was trying to take a nap and drifted off for 5 mins) mom has been in the hospital, but is back at the home now. He said she is very listless and said maybe it would be better to die. They couldnt find her pacemaker

I offered to come home right away, but he said to wait a while, she is a tough cookie and usually recovers, he weill keep me posted.

I'll call her tomorrow. Apparently the reason she didn't answer last week was because she was in the hospital.

Going to scoop out some airfares just in case....

WOW, difference between prices now and September is about $600/person!
I'll have to tell mom to hold off kicking the bucket,LOL. She's a tough chick though, I'm sure she will.

Not that you need the extra stress Marita.....so sorry, will be keeping you and mom in my prayers.

It was so nice to see the family today. I love hanging with Tim's side of the family.

Hope to make it to the cottage at least once this summer. They are trying to make plans for 2 weeks from now.

Great, just great!!

I finally fixed the cherries for the pie, let them cool, topped off the pie and went to put it in the fridge.

A glass juice bottle fell out and splashed all over the floor!!!!!!!!!!!!
I swept up the glass (not sure I got it all) and covered the spill with towels
That's about as good as it will get tonight, I'm beat!

Marita.....I am so sorry......Now you have to take things one at a time.....your mess that you had to pick up is because you are stressed out....
You are right about your mama...they seem to be the type to bounce back a few times ..My mom and my MIL both did that for over a year after they were in homes....Bless you.

Talked to mom today, she is feeling really weak and said she things the end is coming, not to be mad at her. Mad at her? I asked if I should said come, and she said not, and not come to her funeral either, I couldnt help anyway, but I told her no way.

So I don't know yet what I am going to do.

Pumba - Some of the pieces I was thinking were Roseville were actually Hull. The Roseville stuff was way up high, so after my bike accident it took me a while to drag the chair over and climb up to see the markings on the bottoms! Here's what I have:

Sorry to hear your mom is not doing too well. It must be tough being so far apart. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

My mother is in about the same health as before but her memory gets worse all the time. She really doesn't remember my sister. I put up her picture on a bulletin board near the bed so she can see her, but "your other daughter" doesn't always register, and she seems amazed that she has another daughter.

Maybe we can get in a quick visit together this trip since you are working at the Contemporary. We will probably check in early in the day since we only have one day there. If I remember my schedule correctly, we have reservations at Chef Mickey's that evening. We have never been to Chef Mickey's before. I also have a reservation at Ohana's during our stay. Never been there, either.

I actually have 6 kids here today! Amazing, since I have 1 child three days this week. Almost is not even worth it sometimes.


My garden exploded, I'll post a picture later. My tomatoe plants are at least 5 feet tall. The cucumbers and pumpkin have taken over. I have lots of green tomatoes, just waiting for them to ripen. My brocolli keeps reproducing and the peppers are getting plump, today I got so excited to see all of the bees hard at work, pollinating the pumpkin and cucumber flowers.

The kids are enjoying their freshly picked green beans for lunch.

Mony, your garden sounds YUMMY! I want to grow one too, except I dont eat vegetables, LOL

I actually had a pretty good afternoon today. The leadership team of the hotel went to meet with the regional VP of the Hyatt Grand Cypress (beautiful hotel), and he gave us a tour of the new rooms they just renovated. Very contemporary theme, with aqua blue and light green and beige colors, very pretty. ANd all of the Hyatts are going to offer "Pure" rooms, where they eliminate most allergens with special linens, and filters and washing of walls. $25 premium though. They also offer smokinging rooms, that are also specially treated after to eliminate smells, also $25 extra. Lovely tour, lovely hotel!
Afterwards we were treated to Sushi in their new bar. Not my style, but I tried some and wasnt too hungry till late, so I made a taco and opened the hot sauce bottle and acccidentally spilled whole lot of sauce on it. It was HOT!!!

Didnt sleep well last night, so I think I will go to bed soon.

I'm in IL right now. Had one heck of a storm last night.

We got pretty heavy rain though in Babynurse's neck of the woods too. Indianapolis is crazy driving when you don't know which side your exit is on.

Gained an hour now but it is still early, have to get back on the road again , tonight camping in Oklahoma. Hoping for wi fi.

Nab, sounds like fun travelling cross country and camping at night.

I'm feeling like my life is getting half-way sane again (at least temporarily). I was contemplating taking either Friday or Monday off, since I ended up working last Friday on my "day off", but new girl is scheduled to be off, sigh!!! So no luck with that.

No word about mom, guess she's still hanging in there.

I made some taco mixture last night, so I think I will heat up some of that in a taco shell in a bit and add toppings. Hopefully not overpour the hot sauce again...

Lynt, you are back, we need a trip report, or at least a mini-one!

Mony - I'm going to the Ann Arbor Art Fair tomorrow afternoon with some friends. I haven't been for years. It will be so nice to be able to do all that walking! Have you gone before?

Just got into the campsite about an hour ago. Long traveling day again. We are now just west of Tulsa Oklahoma. It is hot.....

The kids have been taking a lot of pictures but it is of the Nestle Quick Bunny sign, and other strange things. They did get the St Louis arch today. There was a giant bowling pin we saw from a distance and hubby told Hannah to take a picture only to find it was under a Adult super store billboard.

We are finding the U.S. love there bill boards. Makes for good reading sometimes.

I spoke too soon tinight I decided to give director a notice about an issue he already knew about but which is going up the channel via an unusal means, so that resulted in 1 1/2 hours of emails with him and the GM and involving some others, UGHHHHH!

I cant even take this weeend off, but I think I said that already


better get to bed. Maybe I'll go in a bit late tomorrow.
