I stumbled across this trip report and it looks to be one of those really good ones. A party of 9 fun loving peeps headed to disney and they all are contributing to the report. Check it out, if you have the time.

NAB, son's news is that he got picked to go to the command team for all the missiles on base. No more pay, but a step up the ladder for the next promotion, so yay for him!

I'll miss you on your trip, hope you can connect. It wil be fun though!
We had a big meeting today where some oranizational announcements were made. During that, our SR. VP talked about the new World of Color show at DCA and how totally touching that is, so make sure to go see that.

Speakng of announcments, our new boss was announced today, actually, he is returning, but he will be over all 7 Deluxe Resorts and not sitting in the hotels. Plus they made(rearranged) new manager postions,1 for special projects, 1 for labor and reporting, 1 for Mod/Value resorts, and 1 for Lodging Line of Business, so a totally newway. Probaly won't happen till mid-August, so still bossless until then.

LilG, good to see you around again. I have no doubt you are putting the fear of GOd into th DVC peeps, LOL!

Kay-Thanks for stopping in! Glad things are well.

The day was just out of sorts for me, being rushed awake like that made me very very tired throughout the day.

Didn't help that I stayed up until 2am last night.

Don't ask. I have no reason. Just didn't feel sleepy I guess.

Putting the girls and I to bed. Hoping for good weather tomorrow, so we can enjoy some pool time.

Mony-- Glad I could make you laugh. I can give you my 13 year old, only difference is he is not good in school. But he sure can talk back.

Marita-- that is good news for your son. I remember when he was trying so hard to get where he now.

Lil'g -- glad to see the DVC hasn't beaten you up to bad. Can't wait to see Disneyland.

What a crazy day trying to get ready. Tomorrow will be worse but I will have to pack the trailer. And find time to get a hair cut hopefully. Then we have a ball game tomorrow night.

Woohoo for a Poly trip coming up

We had a taste testing for some new menu items today for the Convention Center. I was really good! Onion soup served like a cappucino in a cappuciny cup with the cheese sprayed on from a whipped cream dispenser, wild! And some other really good stuff themed around comfort food. My only regret is that I can't eat much, LOL. Especially now that it's past 10 and I still haven't had dinner.........

SO I bette get on that and try to go to bed somewhat early, since I have a 9am meeting with the director tomorrow. Not a good idea to be late for that, I wish I had somebody at home to wake me up.... Mornings are not my friend, especially with a 50 min. drive.......

What to eat?????

Everyone going on a trip ......safe travels and have fun.....

Hubby is leaving tomorrow morning at six am for our Florida home.....He is going to change the locks and inspect the area.......also check in with Jack the man who lives across the street that will be doing our lawn care....and checking on the property.. I know this will sound silly but I shall miss him......he will be home Monday night but still I will miss him.....so will the dang dog.....

Waiting for hubby to bring the trailer home. Have some small piles all over the place waiting to go in.

Tried some of my tops yesterday, some are really short now...I must have grow taller. I wished they made tops longer, they are shrinking up.

Due to my track record of storms when swimming today's plans have been postponed to tomorrow due to forcasted storms.

Now, trying to find something else to take the kids to that will not cost a small fortune.

Also trying to find motivation to get on the treadmill. I have been doing it, just today I don't feel like it.

Actually I'd rather lay in bed doing a bunch of nothing. Doesn't look to promising.

I could start thinking about packing, but don't wanna do that either.

The mall keeps calling me, but with 5 kids? Probably not.

Ho hum.

The reason I am not going is that the air fare for another person is HIGH.....his fare was high too because we just found out that he had to go down there to change the locks. I am sure that the guy WHO was SUPPOSED to do the lawn care and check inside the house (to good to be true) would not do any harm to the place but hubby felt like he should go and change the locks.....so added expense and then rent a car and only time he could come home was on Monday..all other flights were booked to come from NY to Maine ...second leg of the trip...so Monday night he will be home. Then the dog would of had to go to puppy prison.....and I would of had to find a babysitter for Ava.....alot of other troubles for nothing....I also have an eye appointment on Monday, to check my pressure again.....oy oy oy...

Nice to see you in these parts. I see you have a trip coming up.

LOL! I just realized when you wrote that: my ticker from last year's trip was still there, counting the months since we had been to the Poly for our long weekend Labor Day trip! OK, so now I changed the ticker. I can't read the print very well, so I may have to create another one. We decided to do a whole week over Labor Day since the mini-trip last year was so much fun. We're doing a timeshare trade into the Vistana Villages for the week. I also booked one night during the week at the new Bay Lake Towers in a one bedroom. Just wanted to see what the place was like, first hand.

Have a GREAT time on your Disneyland trip! I would love to go back there. Ride Indiana Jones a few dozen times for me!

Sounds great. Too bad they don't offer some of the more inovative items on their regular menus. How is your job going? Last I knew, and that was quite a while ago, it had gotten pretty stressful and you weren't too happy with how things were going.

Kay: I had 3 wine coolers last night, mom came over, said what the heck, so I indulged a little bit. Woke up to my baby girls sleeping next to me. She must have snuck in sometime during the night. I guess I did sleep pretty good.

We decided to change our plans for swimming to tomorrow, t-storms were forcasted for today. Never rained and the sun has been shinning all day. I really despise the weather people.

Since we canceled, I had to do something for the kids, took little ones to McDonalds so they could play and have a special lunch.

Now its chillaxin' time. Oh did wind up on the treadmill. 35 whole minutes.

Let me start off by saying I am finally, after months, taking a day off tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Or at least not going into work, LOL. Need to tak my car in for at least an oil change, not what I WANT to do with my off day.

Woke up later than I wanted today, raced to the office, made it there about 9:04, and no director and no secretary! Director finally showed up about 9:50, and was surprised to find me waiting. Apparently he told his secretary to move me to 4:30 today, but she forgot. He mumbled "susan, susan, susan...." as we walked into his office, because he decided to fit me in. I have a feeling Susan is not in too good a spot in general but she is such sweet lady.

Hey, I am working right next door these days in the Contemporary. Maybe we can meet up sometime.

How is your job going? Last I knew, and that was quite a while ago, it had gotten pretty stressful and you weren't too happy with how things were going.

I hate is less, LOL, but still stressful. Although it promises to slow down finally.........

in other news, i dont know if I mentioned it, but DD got a temporary promotion at the Y to assistant director while the regular person is on maternity leave. I asked her today how things were going, and she said "stressful", LOL. Apparently she has to deal with fundraising now, I really don't envy her that, I would totally suck at it!

Hubby got away with a warning ticket for speeding this morning at 3:30 am.He is the most responsible and safe driver I know, but he was running late. But he admitted he was speeding and got off with the warning, whew!

I have a couple of alarms set for tomorrow cause I hate to sleep away a vacation day, but not all of them, so if I oversleep, so be it!

Why is it that nobody is ever around when I have a day off??

I ended up working today all afternoon anyway, but at least I didn't have to go to work!

Made an appointment for a quit smoking session with laser treatment for next Thursday, wish me luck! $229 I have a recipient for any leftover packs lined up.

I think 'll do some laundry and maye empty the dishwasher and fold laundry and maybe make a Pumba cheesecake.

Or not

Or take a nap

Or a combination of the above

Hubby bought some fried chicken at the store but no potato salad, so maybe I will buy some and have that for dinner and then take a nap

Took the kids to hang out at a pool with my friend and her kids. We are spent! The sun did us in. 94 today. Had a blast swimming with the kids. I love that Maddy is swimming with arm floats only. She really picked up on that quick.

Marita......it is difficult to quit ....but you have all of us as support when you need us......I had to stay in bed, get par boiled in the tub....stood outdoors.....went to church ....and visited my MIL ...all things that did not allow cigarettes......and I think that staying in bed was the best one to work.....also drink alot of water to flush your system

well, I ended up working about 6 or 7 hours today, but they were all good, mostly emails to fix issues.

Also got a couple of replies from new boss, I am looking forward to having a leader again.

No laundry wil get done tonight.

I did however go to the store and got a few things, including potato salad. Need to put them away and heat up the fried chicken.

I just accidentally locked my computer, but it let me back in. Whew! better go to bed now.
