Happy Birthday Marita! Enjoy your day and stay away from anything that pertains to work.

My brain was in the right capacity and I went shopping:

And a month on one of these! Make it a great one.

Thanks for the suggestions Moo. When my son went to training camp for the Tigers, it was more about the strengthening aspect of the game and not actually playing. He brought home some good techniques that I can use on my exercise ball.

I did get in 65 minutes of walk/running on the treadmill yesterday.

Today we have a bowling birthday party and a visit to my FIL. I will get on the treadmill later today.

It did finally cool down over here around 9pm. My friend in CA has been saying she wore winter clothes to work all week, so maybe a cool front is heading this way? What is winter weather in CA, 70?:rotfl:

I think I need to squeeze in some homework tonight. Have a great day!

Happy Birthday Marita!!!!!

Hope you are chilling out and not working!!

Have a great one!

Thank you all for the birthday wishes!

Mony, those were perfect presents, thanks! :cloud9: I'll go on that cruise just as soon as I tell them to take this job and .....

Unfortunately, just when I thought I could relax this weekend, I had another project dropped on me :headache: So yes, I have been working today again :rotfl:Budget review is on Monday, and it looks like we will be doing round 2 of budgets soon.

DH gave me $100 for a Spa day. Now I just have to find the time for that

I guess he doesnt know Spa prices too well, LOL. $100 will pay for a 1 hour massage, with tip but that's OK, comes out of the same check book anyway. I think I'll go for a 1 hour swedish massage and a facial if ever I find the time and the car doesn't die from lack of maintenance first.

Have a great time on your trips ladies!

Heading over to a friends for swimming and fun this afternoon! Looks like a beautiful day!

Tim and I were up late trying to figure out all the longistics of our trip. Only booked one of the several extra nights we will be staying off property. Reason being, using his frequent flyer miles and trying to make it all work. We actually found some awesome places to stay.

Have a wonderful day!

We had some incredible, almost frightening storms go through last night. 3 times!!! Hardly slept last night, pretty tired.

The lightening was non stop and the thunder was like I've never heard. The power went out for brief moments, and I'm surprised we even have power at the moment. We usually are the ones that lose power when this stuff goes through. Since Tim bought the generator, it doesn't seem to happen that much anymore.

So of course, we spend an afternoon with friends swimming and the rain chased us inside twice! We just have that charma I guess.

Slow week ahead of me, more time to plan our trip!

this is so funny.......we bought our generator right after being without power for 6 days during the ice storm of 98.........of course we have not had to use it .....soooooooo yesterday our son brought it to his house.....he is in an area that loses power out in the country ....so it is in a better place for sure......as you can see we are trying slowly to get rid of stuff ....a little at a time....

Today is up and at 'em early.....Ava is coming back .....Trash is out and Megara has had her breakfast and her morning thyroid med......I am eating my breakfast.

We are going to have a super day......I HOPE!!??

Boy what a busy weekend.

The wedding went well. Had some really strange moments but in all it was good. They are married now and look very happy.

We got home just in time for Nicholas ball game, it kept getting delayed because the sun was going down and was right in the ball players eyes , couldn't see so we delayed two times for 15 minutes. One boy on our team broke his leg when he fell trying to slide into three at the end of the game. So far this year we have had a broken finger and a broken nose on other teams while playing. Who know baseball was such a dangerous sport.

Lynette and Babynurse must be off on the trips now. How fun for them, a mini meet.

Marita-- my birthday post looks so empty but I was doing it on hubby's phone and it wasn't easy to put the smilies for me so here are a few for you now. :dance3::banana::yay::cheer2: The spa sounds lovely hope you find the time to do it.

Moo-- I guess it is a go for our trip. Hoping to get out of here by next Monday. Nicholas has a ball tournament on the weekend or we would have left this week. Asked my mom on the weekend if she is coming and she is all for it. I just hope the heat isn't to much for her. I told her I wanted a doctors note from her saying she would be okay.

Pumba-- sounds like your on the right track of getting rid of thinks. Are you really sentimental over things. That is what gets me. A generator not so much it could go.

Mony-- we got heavy rain yesterday twice , lightening , thunder but we drove out it it twice on the way home. Then when we got closer to home nothing. My plants really need some water.

Thanks for the extra smileis, NAB! YAY for the trip being on!

Mony, I joined your pre-trippie :thumbsup2

We had budget review today, all went well, I can maybe breath a little easier now, but round 2 is around the corner.

DD is moving back in about 2 weeks, that should add another layer of fun, LOL NOT! As in if you can''t find time to go to a quit smoking program, can you please smoke outside? I said I would, just more stress........

I cant decided if I want to eat something tonight or now. I had lunch at 4pm and dont feel like making a full meal. Decisions, decisions..........
At least the coffee is done for tomorrow and the alarms are set.

We will probably find out tomorrow who our new boss will be. Should be interesting.......

DH told me today that DS called with good news, but wouldn't tell me what it was. And of course DS's phone is on voicemail! So I have no clue

Yay for your trip being on, Nabbie! You and your hubby will have a LOT of planning to do!!! That should be fun to have your mom along :)

We had a great weekend trip. Gorgeous weather. The only downside was that I had a little bike accident when we stopped for a rest while riding around the island. I had too much stuff in the backpack that I was carrying in my basket (including several bottles of water) and when we stopped, it overbalanced and pulled me down. I banged up my knee and bruised my calf, but was able to finish getting the rest of the way around the island. Ouch. After that, we went to one of the bars on the main street and had some beverages and adult bevvies. While we were there, four guys dressed as British soldiers came in from the fort to have some pints. It was a cool photo op. They stood up and made a toast: God save the King! That's something you don't see every day :lmao:

Marita - Hope you get to hear your son's good news soon! And you'll feel SO much better if you give up that dang smokin'!

Mony - If it stormed here last night, I managed to sleep right through them!

I must have missed something, where are you going Nab?

Oh, and I'm back to playing Lexulous if anyone wants to start a game......

Mony - The NAB Family is going to DisneyLAND!!!

I'll start a game of Lexulous with you since I know I'll be having withdrawal this week with Lynette being down at WDW :sad1: Sad for me, glad for her!

nabby you won't regret going to disneyland. wow , 2008 seem

like yesterday.

sorry to disappoint, but i am far from dead., & you know what
that mean , working it?!

ha! lil' by little i am getting to be a regular dvc expert. pitty those
working inside the dvc business~

it may seem like i lean toward philosophy, but in reality i am
"get your hands dirty" guy. & i love it! as for philosophies, i
don't believe in labeling, sooo i am more anti-philosophy but it
doesn't mean i can't figure out the ways things work & to
use layman terms. [ my philosophy].

i think the dvc guides is a group that has some wrong doings.
over and over, others talk about the magic they can create for
new owners. but what i noticed , they are owners too & working
their own.

we have a guide only in name only. as you know, we were messed
up real bad. which forced me into the picture. it took a lil'work
to find the right workers [ outside guides], & we are getting
our corrective measures.

however, they are still avoiding giving me the answers/any answers
to my questions , going where most owners do not. no problem as
long as we get what we were promised. nothing more, nothing less.

as for my soap-opera life. ha! i am currently very, very boring.
little by little, we got those problems put in their places. do you
remember the lady friend , the artist. the guy who helped her get
discovered is now working for disney. [ david hardin] . just my
opinion, they missed the boat as her stuff is @ a higher level.

i guess mp is busy with the kids?

work is work, backie! ha! i almost able to retired. now if i can get
our boys to find some nice girls,

i know this site has lost many since it begining. too bad, because
many are having such tuff times in life. there something good to be
had, by learning how to chose positive choices over negative
ones. just look @ my recent troubles. sometimes going thru
difficulties can bring new accomplishments to one's life.

well, moo,...it looks like we will make it to the blt this christmas &
the room we were promised. as you all know, i am pesky about
lil' details liked that...in~deeds?! :wizard:

ps, i know it 's hard to believe, but my whole life has been one
adventure after another, wonder how retirement will be? :rolleyes1

no matter what , life is a wonder, worthy of your best efforts.

oh, the old philosophy junk? came across some of my early pysch.
teachings [ like 18 years ago]. wow, i never realized how much
i used my old noggin'. speaking of meat head, is wheat thins still
crackin' ? :lmao:

here's one..if you have to be anything, why not be happy?

[ don't want you ever think i am losing it ]

Thanks Moo, now I remember Nab talking about that. Woo Hoo!

Grumpy: I've been taking a class, Biological Psychology (brain and behavior) but I see it more as a mixture of the biology of the brain along with some chemistry and physiology.

In a nutshell, it has helped me to understand a little better why people are they way they are. Which makes me a tad bit more accepting of behavior, whether I like it or not.

Happy Tuesday Everybody!:goodvibes

morning everyone.
Or PM everyone......
Ava is sleeping and I am vegging.......this is my time to catch up and play a few games.

It is wicked humid here today again.....this is humid humid stuff.....

We let our granddaughter with a long term loan.....like when she grads from pharmacy school.....buy our new car....it has 1000 miles on it but is not a comfortable riding car........she is very very excited and we dont have to worry about her being unable to get her car to get up and go to school when she has to be there for 8 am classes this fall...she is not on campus ..I feel better for this ....so we will be looking for a new 4x4 truck with extended cab and long bed.....have to have room for our hunting four wheeler....

se eyou later tonight

Lil'g-- I am sure we will love it too. It is a long drive there though but lots to see. We have never done such a long trip before. 2 weeks is usually all the kids can take in the car. We shall see how that goes.

Mony-- Are the boys behaving themselves now?

Pumba-- yes it has been humid and very cloudy. I am just waiting for the storms to start.

Marita-- What was your son's big new, do you know yet?

We took Buddy to the in laws today, he will be there almost 5 weeks. He might not want to come home after this. Starting to make little piles and lists since the trailer won't be here until the weekend. Hubby scoped all the things he wants to do along the way. He was been planning this for a long time but didn't know if it would come true.

You mean five weeks of NOT HEARING FROM YOU......oh no.....we will miss you for sure..

Tonight it is still very overcast and like we are going to explode with a storm at any minute.....but the dampness in the air is unreal..

We just came back from the store ..had to get hubbies drugs and toilet paper....two all important things.....hahahaha

It is really 4 by the time we get out of here but I am hoping for free wi fi at the campsites along the way. Hubby has the iphone but not sure how it will work over in your country. Plus I find I can only write short sentences on it.

Those are very important things to have Pumba! My mom was telling my kids about out houses and Sears books or newspaper. :scared1:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Thanks for the laugh NAB. Heck no. They have so many chores to keep them busy. I told my 12 year old today that I would go find two more jobs and get only 2 hours of sleep just to pay for military school for him. I was NOT kidding. He thinks he has it so rough, he has no idea. I don't understand where a child thinks he can yell, scream, and disrepect his mother the way he does. His language is appalling. He has to get the last word in and talks to me like I am some punk kid on the street. It takes so much self control to not knock him into the wall. He makes my blood pressure rise. He is so good in school, a pleasure to have in class, a model student. He is Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde. I took his TV time away and he has to do 30 minutes of walking and his chores to get it back in the evening. I feel he could be healthier.

I am trying to lead by example and I am doing my 30+ minutes daily.

Now the 13 year old is getting it. I took away his computer time. He has to earn and hour or two by doing his chores and behaving. He doesn't give me a hard time. He wakes up and asks me what can I do today mom. But they still get into it with each other.

My sister and I did NOT get along growing up. I mean intense physical fighting. We are better these days, but growing up was difficult. She is a LEO. I have 2 children who are LEO's. He is one of them. I truly believe a LEO and a PISCES are not meant to get along.

Sorry this was so long, I guess I just needed to unload. Tim is out of town again and this morning was not fun between me and that child!
