Thanks Moo! I found a "mother's little helper" today too. The new Nicorette mini-lozenges. Nirvana!!! Really help to take the edge off, and I am starting in at the middle of the program rather than the start, since I had the laser treatment last week (its like acupuncture on steroids). I am also planning on getting a booster treatment next week if I can, you get 2 free ones within 1 year. So far, so good, Havent really had the urge to go run out to get cigarettes.
I am however turning into a wine soaked pretzel stick. :rotfl:
That's about all I have been having for 2 days. Never mind that I bought $50 worth of snacks and candy and cheese and celery sticks............

Wine and Pretzel sticks!! But, hey, 3.5 days done and counting............ Tomorrow is a workday and water will be the theme of the day then.

Marita-- So proud you are sticking to it this time. I will say a prayer for you mom.

Pumba-- so sorry it didn't work out this time. I'm sure when the time is right you well have a perfect retirement home.

Mony-- hope Mal feels better soon. Poor thing.

We went to the Grand Canyon yesterday and I thought the same as Moo's hubby when my hubby said we were going. But when I saw it I was amazed. It was truly beautiful. We stopped at the view points which I loved. The Grand Canyon village not so much. Too busy and confusing to get around.

Landed in California tonight. Staying at Anaheim RV resort. Very close to Disneyland and only a shuttle away. Staying in this campsite for a week so it will heaven not to set up for 7 days.

Just finished eating dinner and to us it is midnight...haha

Off to bed so we are ready for tomorrow, I am sure it will be a full day.

Thanks Nab!

Glad you made it there safely. When I saw the GC I just went. WOW, so unexpected to see that deep cave out of the blue.

7 days at Disneyland? I sure hope you have other things planned ;)

Pumba: I just believe things happen for a reason, and in a few years you will be like, oh this place is so much better than the last place, so glad we decided to sell and wait. ;)

Marita: You rock! You are doing great!!!!!:cool1:

Nab: Glad to hear you made it to CA, safe and sound.

I feel a mood coming on........'

Have a great day!

Nab, I was completely in awe of the Grand Canyon too. Hope you are having a fabulous time.

Moo, we had a wonderful time on the trip. It was one of the nicest WDW trips we have ever had. I hope to put up some pics on FB soon.

I havent had a moments peace since I returned. I worked, then we had a rodeo, then I worked, and now I'm playing catch up with the laundry, but my friend just invited us to swim, and I have to work this evening, and I'm supposed to work tomorrow. I need a vacation from vacation.

Nab, it is downright storming here, hope you stay dry. Utahmama was mentioning storms yesterday. I'm figuring you are somewhat in that part of the country.

Mony
- Funny, my son called us and asked for a weather report on Friday. He said it looked bad as they were approaching town. I was at the pool with my DD and her cousins, so I could not help him.

Sorry about Mal's ankle. Sounds like you were quite the party coordinator. :goodvibes

Marita - I am so proud of you! :cheer2: You can do it! :cheer2:

NAB - That's the way our kids have felt about seeing the GC too. Hohum. I think they would be really impressed if we took them.

Pumba - Sorry about your FL drama. Sounds like you are making the best decision though.

BBN: No matter what you have to do, there is always room for swimming! This trip, I took some extra time off so I have time when we return to catch up. Plus school starts that week for me. We have a nights stay in Kissimee before we leave that has a washer and dryer in the room. I will bring home clean laundry for once!

made it another day! Thank god for mother's little helpers, AKA Nicotttes mini lozengens

Tried to look for a decent flight home advertised at $598, but by the time I clicked on that the total was over $2500
Tried to find alive agent number, almost impossible!

I'm thinking better to see mom when she is alive than go for her funeral, but at this rate I might not make it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh Marita.......I am so sorry about your mama.....especially being so far away.has to be one of those that you can click before it goes away.
and so proud of you and the no smoking.....you can do it because this time it sounds like you really want it.....you have your families support and all of us too....

Today is a beautiful day......it was said that Canada gave us some beautiful awesome weather with breathable air......thanks CANADA.....

That has to be one of the best ideas ever!

Marita: Keep up the good work with the no smoking. And I'll keep my fingers crossed that you find a decent airfare!!

Marita: If you can get through this without having a cigarette, you definitely can conquer quitting! I believe you can! I also hope you find a good airfare.

Off to school, one more week and the spring/summer semester will be over for me and I'll be totally free for at least a few weeks!

Free to totally immerse myself in planning the rest of our trip!

Have a great day!

Marita-- Hope you find a cheap flight to see you mom.

Mony-- I would love a washer and dryer in my room so could take clean clothes home and I could be with my family while doing that. It is usually me sitting by myself or hubby comes to see how it is going.

We have been in Disneyland and California Adventure for the last two days. It is very confusing when we are so used to Disney World. We didn't do the hopper tickets this time since it was cheaper to do the one day at each park.

Hannah's favourite ride was the Finding Nemo submarine. It was very busy with people at Disney but not at Adventure this morning. We actually came back to the trailer this afternoon to take a break. Going back tonight to see World of Colour and go to Downtown Disney. Just have to hope shuttle here it is great. Can see the fireworks every night at our campsite, it is like they are in our backyard.

Tomorrow we are going on a Hollywood tour. Famous homes and shopping on Rodeo Drive etc. And the Hollywood sign. Then Thursday another tour with the Chinese Theater, Kodak Theater, The Grove, Venice and another beach and some more shopping I think. Friday is Universal. We will be dead tired by Saturday since these tours are 13 hours long.

bbn - Looking forward to seeing your photos! So glad you had a wonderful trip. I've been enjoying seeing Lynette's photos!!!

Nabbie - Hope you are having lots of fun! Hubby and I liked California Adventure better than we thought we would when we went a few years ago. The Hollywood tour sounds interesting.

Marita - Sending good vibes your way for finding a good rate on a flight :goodvibes Hang in there with being smoke-free :)

I had this huge long post almost ready to go and it went POOF!!! :confused3

Taking it 1 day at a time. Thanks for all the support.

Nab, have fun, I hear Colors is great. 13 hour tours??? :scared1:

Dog won't eat, so got canned food last night. Poor hubby had to clean up the carpet today. Thank god we have a carpet cleaner :sad2: No more canned food til this weekend.

Colours was great, but we couldn't really see it well and I stood in line this morning a long time for a fast pass to seat in the yellow section. A lot of good that did. They just have a spot roped off and you have to stand though the whole thing....and we were there an hour early, my back is killing me now. They need stadium seating for that show. Plus there was so many tall people in front of us Hannah couldn't see the film clips shining off the water, she could see when the fountains went really high that was it.

We decided we would take Disney World over Disneyland but it was really neat to see at least once.

Marita.....go and get some chicken burger in the meat dept......ground up......and then cook it in fry pan with a little water.......then in microwave two cups of minute rice and two cups of water.....five minutes in there.....stir and add the meat to it.
This is good for your doggie and will settle the belly if she has any issues there too......Hope your baby feels better......Meg is something wrong too......have no clue what...weird acting.

Pumba, thats what my mom did for our dogs growing up.

If she used beef, she rinsed it real good before adding the rice.

Rough start over here, head ache, was up a lot through the night, which made me over sleep. Love being woken up by knocking on my front door.
How embarrassing, and to do it twice to the same family.

Then there was no coffee in the house. Yesterday my DH was standing in Target, talking to me on the phone, asking me which brand of coffee to buy. He forgot to buy coffee??????:sad2:

He did get up and run to the store and got me some yummy expensive dunkin donut coffee to make. Maybe he felt bad.

Closed the house up and put on the air, gonna be a steamy day over here. It was nice to have the air off for a few days to "air" out the house.

Have a great day!

WOW, nothing since yesterday? Sad!

Mony, lol about your DH forgetting the coffee, but im glad he got you some after all.

I am seriousluy considering hanging up the job. Maybe some seasonal work at H&R Block?

Sorry, Marita - I was too tired to post last night! You're seriously thinking of moving on? We've had a major rash of retirements where I work lately. There was a retirement party today. Part of it is related to people feeling jerked around by the latest reorganization.

Hope your dog and Pumba's Megara are doing OK.

Nabbie - Hope you and your family are having some fun!

Mony - Glad yo got your coffee finally! I'm all out of my favorite kinds of tea. I either have to go the mall in Ann Arbor or Novi to buy it. I'm predicting a road trip in my future this weekend  I had a headache this morning because I skipped my caffeine.

Also, I think I over-exercised on Tuesday. I had my kettlebell instructor into the office for a kettlebell talk and demo and he had me demonstrate some of the things I've learned and had the group do quite a few squats and Sumo deadlifts. I'm still so sore today, but I went to my kettlebell class anyway. The instructor took pity on me and didn't make us do any squats tonight, thank goodness!!!

hello everybody!

how's bite a lil' or tiny word salad?

backie? isn't sad, just the pace i need [ to keep up].

my life easy-easier.

nabbby, i don't know how others see you? in your picture , you
always look sewing serious [ kind like snow white first time with
grumpy], but it is so evident , you make everything fun! & that's
the same feeling i got when you first responded to my make~
believe trip report. remember? even the mods thought it was
fake...ha!..sos, lil' did they know, i left out the real unbelievable
stuff....don't everyone go to wdw for fun?

oops, almost made a real funy mistake.. as you might recall, i don't

we saw toys #3, amazing the things they picked from our daughter's
room. on the night-table, her grandmother got the same music
box. [ a disney one, with dancing ballernia. ] & the picture wearing
the tu-tu. remember the picture of her "tinker-bell " look? [ some
of my cutest pictures is in her "dress up". ] oh, she also has
the same "baby doll" ....but

our baby girl..is fast becoming a young lady. she is soooo beautiful ,
that it's scary. however, she is as tall as her daddy. you all know..she's
nothing but a daddy's girl?

last year , we were down @ wdw. our next trip is a cruise in sept.., &
