I think the meeting went well. I did not sign anything yet, I want to read over everything thoroughly.

I had to call one of his teachers out, she just didn't get what I was telling her about his 504 going ignored, and him getting bad grades as a result, and I feel bad that I had to do it in front of her colleagues. She left the room right after. But I think I got my point across. We will see.

This is making me see Matt differently. In ways I don't want to see him. Just pulls on my heart strings. I think I'll have a moment to myself later.

So, game on! Go Wings!

Hi and sorry for the drive bye. I read but have no time to post. Six kids, softball and baseball season, laundry, staying one step ahead of the ants that invade my kitchen, yada yada yada.

I just wanted to say WELCOME WENDY.

You should have called me and asked me for your password.

TwinkieFan4evah ;)

MommyP- we (aka I) need pictures of the new duds. My little princess needs a bonnet. Or a sunhat or sumpthin. We spend a lot of time outside. Did you make up the patterns? or follow one?

Mony- Hug. Sigh. He is blessed to have you for a mom. And I know you are blessed to have him for a kid.

:laundy: smilie by goldenchild

Lator gators!

Twinkie - I'm going to be going to Joann's soon, maybe Sat. if you want a bonnet do you want like a simple white one, or I can do a reversible, let me know what color combo you are interested in.
P1000178.jpg

I will also need you to measure your princess from jaw bone to jaw bone and from her forehead back. Imagine how far a bonnet would go back. lol. It doesn't have to be exact, I'm going to make it bigger anyway. Better too big than too small is my motto. :rotfl:

I did not use a pattern, I found a set of written instructions online, that did NOT include pictures. :headache: That gave me the general idea and I took it from there. They are very easy to make. :thumbsup2

You did an amazing job......this photo is the cutest.....and her eyes just lite up when you see her photos....

today it is RAINING AGAIN......yah I am starting to get webbed feet....just cold and damp but this weekend good weather returns.

Today got info from the realtor and all is going on for Monday at one pm....we will receive the paperwork probably tomorrow and we will then make it out and mail it back to the title company and then transfer amounts that way...I am anxious but excited ...never did anything like this without at least trying the stuff on.....but buying a place site unseen is unreal.....

Ava's last time is this week and then next week until thursday......I shall miss HER AGAIN.....but my door is open if it doesnt work out with her aunt......I am her great aunt ......oh well.....

Mommy P-- That is the best dressed baby!! And those big blue eyes.

Pumba-- no rain here but it is pretty cold, I would take the rain over what we have gotten the last two days. I heard some places got snow, so I won't complain about the cold either. Hope it warms up by the weekend like it said it would.

Moo-- did you watch BL last night. What a inspirational show that was. Love how the grey team went back for the last lady. I knew O Neal was going to go home. That is the way they have been playing, I do feel for Daris who said the three of them are on there own, I would feel the same way. Wonder if Koli drank water before the way in so he is good next week. Can't wait to see next weeks make overs. Michael and Daris hair will be gone :thumbsup2 That must be a few pounds right there....:rotfl2:

Ellie looks adorable, MommyP!

Pumba - I'm sure you'll love your new place!!! :thumbsup2

Nabbie - I figured O'Neal was done last night too. I think he is looking pretty good. That was a nice tribute from Sam and Koli when they voted. I kind of wondered whether Koli had drank some water also. Next week is going to be super fun to watch! I'm looking forward to seeing all that long hair go. My friend Debbie said she read a preview that said that one of the guys was pretty unrecognizable. I'm so glad that a couple of the women are left for the makeover show.

Hi everyone!

MP, that bonnet and that baby are just adorable :cloud9:

Mony, glad you are getting help for your son.

I attended my first leadership meeting at the hotel today. It was at 12:30, so I ate my leftover stuffed peppers beforehand, only to come to find out that we had a tasting of new menu items for the wave. I couldnt eat it all, but there was stilll those yummy desserts. Unfortunately, there was a VP meeting shortly after in the room, and they cleared out desserts before I could get to them. :)
BUT, at 2:30 was a planning meeting for holiday display and bakery items for sale with samples, so I had a macaroon, a small piece of fudge and a quarter of a Lintzer Torte cookie. I was stuffed!

Tomorrow I have a meet and greet with new assistant. Going to take her to lunch at fast food place on my dime and do a little tour. Sure hope we get along well...

The dog got a little spunk back so he is still around.

ok ladies..is there a method to all this madness? well, if not

than i am just buzzing your ears, for the time being.

[ saw this on one of those judges' shows & for a split second,
thought my tv was talking to "me". pssst, alot of crazy people
get messages....thru their tv. mostly my are from making
some of the bullys on the dvc boards frustrated, :thumbsup2

then..i saw a commercial warning, don't let me catch you with
your plants down in the basement. must be a wacky tobacco
ad?

never though about this, getting arrested & winning a major
award. & here i was trying to be good,
wonder, how boring people live life? really, i like to live without
so much stupid drama, but for some strange reason , trouble
have this habit of finding me. just like our dvc. i was not
to supposed to do anything. but if you read the thread about
finding/looking for a good guide..& see how many are just
shysters..it's sorta sad since we're talking about disney.

on a serious note, our country has a real addiction. fyi, 99% of all
pain drugs are used here. ohio is very, very ill. since the war
2005....thru today, we have loss around 4,300 soldiers. pretty sad.
however, we have loss 7,000 people in ohio [alone], to od
from rx. drugs.

anyone..has any flurocets? i got this awful big headache, ;)

[ yes i misspelled on purpose, don't need to be giving any lurkers
ideas.]

as for our schools? oh where our teachers? [ at disney? } . if i was
in charge, i be bringing back the old dick & jane readers. our kids need
exposed on how to get along with others, the benefits of good manners,
basic hygiene measures, & the fun things being part of a family. i
would add different characters to reflect all the cultures we have,
but the stories would remain the same.

guess who my wife went & saw? the cake boss. and she got
chosen to meet him. however, he failed to give me [ @ home} any
sampling. wait until he seek help when his crazy sister get on his
nerves again . might even suggest to paint his shop "hot-pink",
:snooty:

* how do you really know you're in love? recent topic, & i have
the real answer, something i realized.....like many, many, many
years ago. [ long forgotten ] . when i first met my wife. you know?
the nice person, besides me? any ways, it sorta show how long
i've been doing this "thinking stuff". in reality, i took the clue from the
bible. ( it is amazing lil' tibit..that is very true when one thinks
about it. because like alot of great knowledge, it can be hidden
in plain sight ). do anyone here knows the answer?

psst, it written in a mankind reference.

oh, another clue..how old i am getting? the oldest group of veterans
i took care of were those from the spainish~american war.

well i got to get back to my real calling...redirecting all these misguided
manipulators..over on the dvc boards. hope everyone here haven't
forgotten me? after all , i am mostly plain as dirt. of course, we all
know what good soil can pro-duce? smokin! :hippie:

ps, we need to outlaw oxys before we lose our next generation in
the fog it is creating.

oh, mp??? you might not believe this..but once upon a time, i was a
pretty cute baby! [ ask my wife! but has nothing to do with the
above topic....or maybe it did. better go ask her. ]

morning everyone..
Our paperwork for the title and all came at 7 pm via UPS next day delivery. SO we looked it over and thought OMG I have to call the lady in Florida to walk me thru it...
Hubby is coming home at noon and then we will go to the credit union to get it all notarized and all.....YIKES..
Insurance lady didnt call yesterday but should this morning....then that will be finished.
Got an email from the landscaper/lawn mower person. He will be starting on May 1st so need to acknowledge this.
He will do the lawn, and bushes (dont know if we have any of those), weed taking care of and then he will also go inside property and make sure all is well inside . Its almost like having a security person...he will do this once a week....I was impressed...
Hope we all keep this sun that came out a few moments ago. it is GORGEOUS...

Pumba -- I could use one of those people here.....:lmao: I have some flower beds still needing attention.

Lil'g -- life is never simply. Always bumps in the road. I sometimes ask that very question...where the heck at the teachers and what happen the old days where kids were respectful, mine included is still giving me a run for our money.

Moo-- I think Daris will be the big shocker because we have seen Michael with his hair slicked back. Daris has alwasy been a mass of curls. I think someone different is doing there hair this time. Last years makeovers were not that good. Danny only got his nice hair cut before the finale.

Marita-- free food and you missed out, you usually don't eat all day. Just your luck.

Good morning!

So Ellie is finally back to eating again, so that means that Tuesday night when she woke up I <gas> ignored her. She cried for at least an hour and finally fell asleep. But guess what? She didn't wake up at all last night! Yaaaaaaaay!

She is officially crawling 100% now. She is slow and precise, but she doesn't go back to army crawling just to get there faster. Now THAT is different than my boys. I am actually ready for her to start walking whenever she is ready. She is just going to be to stinking cute walking in her little dresses. It's hard for her to crawl in them, which is fine because it keeps her in a localized area just sitting and playing with her toys. ;)

Tuesday Chad, my brother and I rode bikes 7.7 miles. It was exhilarating. I love bike riding, but as a family we don't do it because we don't have enough working bikes or any baby bike seats. I used to have a really nice 2 seat bike trailer, but Chad lost it a few years ago. Plus it's a pain to pull and he would make me do it. lol. Of course with the kids we couldn't really even ride far enough to make it matter. Having kids is a real drag when you are trying to exercise. ;)

It's a beautiful cool morning this morning, so odd.

This Friday and Saturday(morning) is a parenting conference at church. We are looking forward to that.

27 days until we leave!

I tried Ridemax, but just got my refund. It is pretty much only good if you are going for an evening or ALL day. I would put in my arrival and departure(1pm) and it wouldn't ever be able to pull together a plan. Even though we've done all those attractions(with rider switch which ridemax doesn't account for) before with TGMs plan. So TGM it is. lol.

Lil'g -- life is never simply. Always bumps in the road. I sometimes ask that very question...where the heck at the teachers and what happen the old days where kids were respectful, mine included is still giving me a run for our money.

I think it's TV. Think about kids were watching 20 years ago, it's a whole lot different than what they watch now. Even the cartoons have kids being disrespectful. My kids aren't even in school or around school kids all the time and we are still really struggling with disrespectful attitudes. I wish a long time ago we had done things differently, no TV and no video games.

My sisters and I didn't have a Nintendo until we were in middle school. lol.

Anyone who cares: I am with you on the disrespectful attitudes. My kids are actually pretty sweet and not *really* disrespectful (I am not saying they are speshul just talking about heart attitudes) they just act that way because they think it is funny and/or cute. The TV shows- especially Disney after about 9 am-really does portray that. I also don't like this whole "tween"ager thing. Why do these shows which are aimed at 9-11 yr olds keep talking about boys liking girls and girls liking boys. Not just liking. Like liking if you know what I mean.
Even at 11 year old that is way to young to be thinking about dating. Call me old fashioned I can take it. ;)

I am thinking of banning ol' Zach and Cody. We will keep the TV- we have to watch hockey and NCIS and Bones and Numb3rs after all! And Nick Jr is a pretty goog channel. Who doesn't like the very trippy Yo Gabba Gabba. And I admit that Team Umizoomi is something I like to watch. If you don't have preschoolers you are missing an animated show where they use their mighty math powers. I am not making this up!

Pumba- Congrats on paperwork.
Moo- I had something to say to you the other day but now I have no clue :headache: Hi!

MommyP- I am going to trust you on fabric! I am getting wild and crazy in my old age:thumbsup2:lmao: I think it should go with her sling. Maybe white and pink? or white on one side and pattern on the reverse? I love polka dots, stripes and gingham and... well, I will just leave it to your good taste. She is sleeping right now but I'll get measurements to you later.

Bubbles or rompers or babydoll tops with bloomers are sweet on little girls who can crawl. Dresses just get them tangled.

I so believe that TV and Movies play a big part in teenagers these days. Heck Animal House was restricted in my day and now the language and sexual content in PG movies is boggling. Wish I never let Nicholas watch anything but G movies and no video games , just reader rabbit .

I do know Hannah will not be going to the church dances next year. Don't need that drama. Plus at almost 10 she is still playing with dolls no need for the social time with boys.

NAB, free dining will be announced to the general public on Monday. The Disney Visa offer came out today, and the FD starts 8/15 and runs thru 9/30. It's QSDP for the values, but it's upgradeable.

Sorry, Twink, still no soup for you.

hello.
Well its almost a done deal....we did the paper work up at the credit union and got the notary doing her thing.....mailed that in the return next day delivery pkg and then transferred the money...
Insurance is done deal, lawn mower is done deal, water bill done deal...
We were going to shut off the electric but our realtor said that the owners think that keeping the ac on during the summer months is a better idea...because of mold ...so maybe just the minimum temp and pay the electric bill...

AVA Is going to be staying with me after all.....My niece decided she liked having her with fed, cleaned and scheduled.......I almost was looking forward to being alone for a few but guess not......she keeps me going for sure.....

OH GUESS WHAT......we had snow showers.......I mean the wind was blowing to beat the band and it snowed.....could not believe that......the sun is out now but it is chilly out.....

Marita I hope that your furbaby is doing good......poor baby and poor you....it is hard to be kind to our babies..

I remember when our son and daughter were younger.....if our son did something that was not good I would say to him.."I am disappointed in you" and he would be upset with that.
Now our daughter I would say the same thing and she would HUMMP and go to her room......but not once did they ever talk back to us.....never had to spank either.....:cloud9: I love our babies.....even if they are grown ups

Thanks for the info!! I will tell hubby.

Pumba-- favourite saying out of Nicholas is "Wow Mom" it drives me crazy. Yeah have said we are disappointed with his behaviour but still love him. Then he well say his parents think we are too strict or ground him for nothing. Right....I do it because it is so much fun having him around with no electrics, phone or friends. Sounds like you new home is coming along nicely. Hope we get to see some pictures.

Yay, NAB! Maybe your DH will give the go-ahead for a trip! Mine took a bit of convincing, but I can be VERY persuasive! ;)

What a day we had! While Boris and I were at his soccer practice, Natasha (who stayed at home w/my mom) fell somehow and sprained her thumb. :sad2: It's SOOOO swollen and sore...she was still on the verge of tears when I got home. I put a splint on it so she could sleep without worrying about banging it or smooshing it. I also gave her some kids' Tylenol to ease the pain a bit. She cheered up considerably when I told her she probably can't participate in gym class tomorrow.

A short time later, as Boris was getting ready for bed, he looked out his bedroom window into the yard and noticed that there was a dead tree that had been blown over by the wind onto some electrical wires. The trunk of the tree was resting a bit ON the wires, and the top part was hovering VERY near our shed. DH had to call the light department, and they came out a while later to take down the tree and cut it up. Nice to know that both my kids are able to sleep through the noise of a chainsaw in our yard.

Lastly, (but FAAAAAR from least, methinks!) Boris "has it on good authority" -- his words-- that a classmate, Zoe, has a crush on him. He has had a crush on her for a while, but hasn't said anything about it to anyone but me. He and I had a long talk tonight about whether he should tell her. He decided to play it cool for a while and see how things play out. I think this is where I develop a tic and start to speak only in singsong whispers. HELP!

Hi all,

Pumba, congrats on the paperwork falling into place :thumbsup2

DS called today, they were having a blizzard in Montana, snow blowing sideways :scared1: Same tomorrow forecast.

I don't remember my son ever being an ounce of trouble, but DD was a handful (to me, not to DH usually). But age and distance cleared that up for the most part.

If you think TV is bad, look up the lyrics to Rhianna's "Rude Boy" which is currently #1 on the playlist. It will make your hair stand on end it is so sexually explixit, I can't believe they play it on the radio :sad2:

Took my new assistant out to lunch today and a little tour of the hotel, a bit of "getting to know you" thing. Then I sent her 3 emails tonight, and told her to get used to me leaving at 5 sharp but expect late night emails, LOL. (not that she has to answer them at night)

Lynette, What a night!

Condolensces on the new "girl" situation. Maybe you and NAB could form a support group? :grouphug:

Post on my DD's FB page tonight: "Hi, hottie, I don't have your number!"

Granted, she IS 25 now, but still kind of weird:laughing:
