Thanks everyone. I haven't talked to her, I'm not good at these sorts of things. And frankly if someone like me(has had 6 perfect pregnancies with no loses) tried to console me if I lost a baby I don't think I'd take to it very well. So I sent her a note telling her how much I love her and am praying for her, but that I didn't know what to say to her other than that. So I would leave it there.

What you wrote was perfect. There is no way to console someone after a loss... all you can do is grieve with them.

Mommy P -- I too think you did the right thing.

Marita -- Love all the old pics of you and your kids over there. You were always a skinny thing.

Went to the mall tonight with Hannah. She is growing so fast. We got flip flops in a size 5/6 but of course she likes the smaller ones for kids but she is a woman size now. Her running shoes are still a 4 at least. She was wearing a basic white t shirt with skinny jeans with her hair in a pony, I thought to my self I can see as a teenager. Where did my little girl go?

Thanks, Nab, yes, kids do grow up fast, I can't believe mine are 25 and 30.
Nicole is putting together an album for my mom. so that is why she is putting all those photos together over there. Mom is turning 96 in a couple of weeks, but still doing great.

I set up a meet & greet with new assistant for next Thursday, was only available date where we both had free time around lunch, so I will buy her lunch either at the Wave or the fast food place, haven't decided yet( out of pocket, oh how I miss the days of expense accounts!!!!!!). Following week is forecast (again!), and then the transitions of all the new people to new places, 8 in all out of maybe 25, so a pretty big change. And in their infinite wisdom, the leaders first moved both people out of Boardwalk, leaving nobody with any knowledge there, then to backfill one positon there and the one at the Contemporary, they moved BOTH people from Wilderness Lodge! What are they thinking? They have no clue about the wrench a DVC resort throws into things! Gotta love clueless bosses!:sad2: And more to come. have to fill at least 1 position at the Lodge that has any clue. as budgets are soon upon us in June.

PS: we had a most yummy cake for a collegue at the Grand today, his last day. Chocolate cake with chocolate cream filling with chocolate ganache and chocolate dipped strawberries with large chocolate shavings around the edge and a white marzan banner with inscription. To die for!

My sister's still in the hospital. Hopefully she'll be sprung tomorrow. Our brother visited last night and he and his wife visited tonight. It had been ages since we'd seen them.

Morning everyone..........
The sun is shining and our window is open...Hubby and I got up early even though it is SATURDAY.......why oh why cant I just try to sleep in...would be so nice.
I do have to do some chores today..you know ....clean the "piggy Pumba sty" out.....hahaha..
Last night went to walmart and got some diet pepsi caffeine free soda...I love the 1.00 for a big bottle. we got ten of those and put them in the closet. I also said oh wow...Look at Hanes footies....or whatever you call them. I need some for my sneakers in Disney.....so got some more.......I did throw out about ten or so pair.....I like a tight fit...

so what else is new......Its the weekend and I am happy..

It is the weekend and the is shining here too!

Moo -- glad your sister is getting sprung, that must mean she is doing well. And that you got to visit with your brother. I don't get to see my oldest brother much, he is ten years older then I so he was out of the house a long time when I was growing up. His son is getting married this summer so that brings everyone together.

Marita-- that cake sounds so good. I can only hope to live as long as your mom. What a nice gift to have too.

Pumba-- I love when pop comes on sale too. I hate paying $1.50 for a two litre bottle. Ours was just on sale for $.99 and I bought a bunch too since I have two birthdays and a Confirmation next month, I am going to need it.

Nicholas is at baseball tryouts then he has to get to the church with Hannah to serve for a funeral. This will be Hannah's first one so I hope she can handle it. They were in a pinch so I said yes.

Then the rest of the day is ours.

/
helped our neighbors clean out their garage that is coming down in a week or two....I hope they do this when I am home so I can watch......hubby went over and disconnected some of the wires.....so all is safe for the bld to be demolished....

need to go to the pharmacy and get my drugs....most will be good for three months and my eye drops for two I think.....and some of my test strips will be for a month and a half.....

see you all later.

Howdy!

I have some friends going to WDW for the first time staying at the Boardwalk Inn. I've never stayed there, anyone have any comments or suggestions I can pass along? They have two little girls 5 and 3. Thanks!

Hope you are all having a nice weekend.

Guess Whuuut? I got ON! I have a different email and forgot my password and in a sudden flash of lucidity, I remembered it! WOOOO!

HI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Weny Lou!! WOOHOO!

So glad you made it back, missed you!

Can't wait to hear all about what you have been up to, know a little bit from over on FB, but we need more details!

Welcome back! :cool1::dance3::goodvibes:thumbsup2:hippie::hug:

Heh. Mostly on "the" Facebook, at school, or the gym.
Still with Travis, who's only downside is he'd rather go to Hawaii than Disneyworld/land! I KNOW!

Kids are awesome!

go to Hawaii instead of Disney......geesh go figure.

I missed you too UM......how are you doing and the rug rats........

I say the Polynesian resort is a nice compromise! He's not convinced!

I'm afraid Mickey will have to wait till after I graduate (10/10/10) and (AND) get some kind of disney-bucks. The Poly for a couple-a nights would be :thumbsup2

Welcome back to the thread, Wendy!!! We've missed you here, even though we see you over yonder! :grouphug:

My sister got out of the hospital today. I think she's having a little rougher time than I had, but she only had to take pain medication a couple times today :goodvibes I did a little shopping before coming home from Grand Rapids today. I think I have most everything I will need for vacation next month. I tried to go to the Disney store over there, but it closed last month :( I've been wanting to buy a new Disney mug. There will be a gift shop at the Hilton Head DVC resort, so hopefully I'll be able to find one there. And maybe a new Minnie shirt :) I'm looking forward to a small dose of Disney while we're there!

Nabbie - You must have gotten our nice weather. It was pretty rainy here today.

I feel so off not having a ton of homework. I am between semester's right now and it just doesn't feel right. I even told my bff to bring her :laundy: and daughter over so she could study! For reals!

I see you found the trail of bread crumbs I left for you Wendy! Bout time!

So rainy and dreary out today, but that's ok, I have a ton of :laundy: to do and I'd rather it be raining when I do that.

Hey, I missed being able to have fun with icons.

Oh, I talked with Nebo the last few days. They left yesterday for another WDW trip(11 days). We are still thinking about Universal Studios and he gave me alot of pointers. I'm also thinking BBN can suggest a thing or two, right?

What is the deal with your birthday and getting in one of WDW parks free? I have 3 kids with an August birthday and was wondering if I could take the girls to MK one day while we were there. Do you have to be there on your birthday or close to it to get the promo?

And to think I sat here looking at a blank screen having nothing to say, :rotfl2:

I am back-ish! Thanks! :grouphug: Kumby-ya

Moo, I'm guessing your sister had "the surgery"?COOL! Hope she is well!

Monica- I have tons (TONS) of homework to do by 10 tonight. I thought the birthday thing was only on their actual birthday (a scam to get us to go back?) I dunno. I have 2 kids' birthdays in May.

Mony, the free birthday ended in 2009. This year they had free day for a day of volunteering for the first 1 million people, but they reached that already, so that's out too.

I'm making sstuffe peppers today. Thye are a lot of work, but I got a head start by making the peppers last night, so now I just have to cut the onion, fry the meat, make the rice and stuff the peppers. This whole dish just requires so many pots and pans... 2 big pots last night just to parboi the peppers, pot for rice, frying pan, glass dish for the oven. Goog thing I have a dishwasher.

Wendy, Wheat Thins has abandoned this threat, although he pops in once in a great while with a one-liner
