Monsters, Inc. May - move like Roz is watching challenge

Ok I'm back!

After an extremely lazy week last week (it was bad, and I mean bad), I managed to pull myself together for my 10 mile race on Sunday. My leg was feeling better by Friday and I was hopeful that with compression sleeves and taking it easy I would be ok.

It was hot and humid, and the course was ALLLLLL hills. Seriously, I don't think any section of the course was flat. For extra fun, they had us run a mile uphill at mile 8. And there were a bunch of turns, so we would run up a hill, turn a corner, and...see another hill. Ugh!

With all that I was really pleased with my time. And it was great training for the run I will apply for later this year, which is filled with hills as well. But next year, I'm doing the Wildwood half marathon to give myself a break! :rotfl2:

Sunday: 98 minutes running

796/1500 (finally over 50%)!!

"Hills! Why did it have to be hills?!"

Running in western pa I feel your pain. We have a 10k race here that is a steady climb for mile 5. It's truly exhausting. And its straight and parallel to the river so its always HOT. Way to show those hills whose boss! Wildwood is one of the halfs id like to do someday. My family went to the beach there annually when I was little and we are taking my son this year for the first time. It's not Disney so they sorta had to drag me to it, but I'm excited too.

I went to the gym at lunch. Started getting ready to change and pulled all of the usual stuff from my gym bag and then realized, "I don't have a shirt". For the briefest of seconds I thought, "I could just wear my sports bra, people do that". And then I thought that for the= good of humanity, I should cover myself up and go for a walk instead.

36 minutes = 942/1200

Can't wait to see just how far OVER 50% we got!!!

Aaaaaand I got coerced into going for another run. Only went 3.3km today, which took ~22min. It was super humid and I just had a heavy squats day at the gym so I've forgiven myself on backing out of going the full 5km.

850/1200

Sorry for updating twice!

@hmack Ha! I feel your pain, although never with tops. I've forgotten socks numerous times ("how bad do my feet stink today?") and on a few occasions I've taken one or both of my boyfriend's shoes in lieu of my own (I don't even know how, there's a huge size discrepancy).

Hey, Hey, Hey.

It's only 6:20 a.m. here, but I feel like I've already had a full day. I rolled out of bed at 4:00 a.m. to drop my daughter at the airport, drove, got the the airport and the plane is delayed. Until noon. And then is started to pour rain, so we had to make a run for it. And I though to myself, "well, self...I guess we can see how this day is going to go."

UNTIL....

I checked in with Team Monsters, Inc. May and now everything is sunshine and rainbows. Maybe not literally, but you know what I mean!

Congratulations to our color changers:

We made it to 52.04% as a TEAM!!!!

I suspect that we may evenhave a member or two turn Roz Red very, very soon. You guys are all sorts of awesome! Keep up the good work.

Wow! Great job everybody. :cheer2:
1032/1500 for me
Loaded map my walk on my phone and last night on a walk remembered halfway through to turn it on! Then two blocks later we met a friend and chatted for 20 minutes. Then I forgot to turn it off so was still "walking" this morning! Not the most accurate of readings!

50 minutes of core work brings me to 712/1000. I could use a rest day but am not sure if and when I will have a chance to work out at the end of the week. My core is feeling pretty good though(but don't make me laugh because ouch abs lol).

Happy....what day is this? Wednesday? Yeah, Happy Wednesday! (it's been one of those weeks.)

pollyannamom - please do me a favor and take a look at your numbers. (your last report is on pg 13, I believe) I think you may be closer to your goal then you think.

Congratulations to today's awesome color changers:

AND to our first 90% Roz Red team member....being red hot and blazing the trail...SarahDisney!

I've got to say that I'm so inspired by how well you are doing this month.
Whether you're:
  • out-preforming your goal
  • or right on track
  • or trying to make up ground
  • or you had to overcome a challenge
  • or whatever your story is this month - if you're reporting in you're showing us all that It. Can. Be. Done.

So, I just want to say thank you.

Thank you for being proof that despite whatever's going on with family, schedules, work, health, weather, whatever....it's possible to find the time to make yourself a priority, and I think that's pretty darn cool.
