Ok I'm back!
After an extremely lazy week last week (it was bad, and I mean
bad), I managed to pull myself together for my 10 mile race on Sunday. My leg was feeling better by Friday and I was hopeful that with compression sleeves and taking it easy I would be ok.
It was hot and humid, and the course was ALLLLLL hills. Seriously, I don't think any section of the course was flat. For extra fun, they had us run a mile uphill at mile 8. And there were a bunch of turns, so we would run up a hill, turn a corner, and...see another hill. Ugh!
With all that I was really pleased with my time. And it was great training for the run I will apply for later this year, which is filled with hills as well. But next year, I'm doing the Wildwood half marathon to give myself a break!
Sunday: 98 minutes running
