Monorail resorts

Which way around does the monorail go? I'm thinking of planning a lunch time visit away from the MK to one of the resorts to have something to eat, I know we've got to go through them all to get back to the MK but with starving teens getting to food quick is important .

althought you can walk to The Contemporary from MK quicker than what it would take to use the monorail.

If you want to go to the GF it's a lovely ride on the little boat, and the boats goes MK-GF-Poly-MK etc.

Wow that sounds a good plan too, guess I should look at the menus and then decide as there and back is not going to be a problem .

I like everything but my family are a pain if they don't like the sound of it they won't try it. Don't think it will be any of these fine dining places though as much as I'd love it I'd be the only one eating, guess I could go on my own and bring them a bread roll back

Had a look at the GFC and there is something there everyone will like, plus if we get the boat back too we can stop at the Poly for a dole whip for desert

The walk to the Poly from the GF is lovely too if you fancy a laid back 20 minutes or so letting your food go down.

That's why I love the GF/Poly area, it's a lovely little break from the parks.

We go the end of July for 10 nights and then onto NY for four nights

That's what I'm hoping for, the parks can get really manic at times and its nice to get away for some chill time before heading back in.

Do you have time in your trip to set aside a few hours? The monorail resorts are lovely to explore and you could do a monorail food trail and pick up a few snacks from each of them as you go along, stopping to explore the grounds and take some photos before moving along to the next one.

We did this walk last trip (though other way around - Poly to GF) and it was a lovely stroll - imo it's the perfect distance for 'walking off' a meal to make room for dessert!

We loved the food at captain cooks at the poly and it was nice and quiet. Ate there before MNSSHP then got the monorail to the party. Will be back this trip - In had an adult grilled cheese and a dole whip. DH had the aloha pulled pork sandwich and a dole whip, very yummy.
