we are leaving for wdw this Sunday and just wanted to get a feedback from ppl who have recently visited as to the monorail. Is it still working or is it down on certain times ? If so are buses still there to take from MK to Contemporary, GF and Polynesian ?

I was there early september and some trips took a little longer but nothing I would call "down". I've seen others report different experience. Overall it's running and if not they have an alternative readily available for you.

Well they might want to think about the refurb since the monorail stopped working this afternoon around 3 PM. Currently, the train is stuck near the Contemporary. There were multiple rescue trucks on site taking care of those stuck on that train. I also heard the buses were running slower than usual since the roads that cross over in that area are closed. Buses are being routed another way creating the delay. According to one the boat personnel, Disney's boat fleet was completely mobilized to get guests everywhere they need to be. There were boats on the water that I never seen before. Props to Disney getting the matter quickly rectified. If they are thinking about doing an overhaul, this might be the thing that stops the monorail service for awhile to get the trains refurbished systems wise.

We were at MK Friday Oct 2nd. At 8am at the TTC the Express Monorail was not running. There was a cast member directing people to the ferry or the buses. Which was OK as I like to take the ferry. To get our monorail fix we took the resort monorail back to the TTC at noon and saw the express monorail running at that time.

On a previous trip we missed an announcement and boarded the resort monorail at MK only to have it stop and go out of service at the Contemporary. They directed us to the Contemporary bus stop where we got a bus to the TTC. The buses run when the monorail isn't.

We were at Epcot at 8:15am Sept 28 and again in the late afternoon of Oct 4th and saw the monorail running both times.
