Monorail Drink-A-Thon

haha! thats the view I was hoping for :3dglasses

really nice...our 14th floor room made it up though!

as for the champagne...we ordered it from private dining to have it in our room an hour prior to wishes. so it was waiting there nicely chilled as soon as we got back to the room. :)

Loved the pictorial report!! It makes for fun reading!

Good grief, though; I thought my hubby and I were good, but we are amateurs next to the two of you! :worship: After that first night, I'm sure I would not want to drink at all on the second night, yet you two went back for thirds!! WOW!

We, too, always end up at Jellyrolls. We will have to try Boardwalk sometime - we are such fans of Beach Club, that I hesitate to try something new! However, you are closer to MGM & Jellyrolls... Have you ever indulged at Papa's Lounge in the 50's Prime Time Diner? That is one of our favorite locations to drink.

I just returned from Disneyland, and promised some information. Since there is no where in Disneyland to drink (other than Club 33), it does make it easy to report!

We did an awesome wine tasting in the winery at California Adventure. It was a perfect location for tasting and watching the Block Party Bash.

Ariel's Grotto had great coffee drinks, as well as some tasty "beach drinks".

A fun adventure would be Drinking Through Downtown Disney. Not nearly as long as Disney World's Downtown Disney, it does offer many wonderful drinking locations - especially the Uva Bar in the center of Downtown Disney. Since I have to go back for a conference in March (I upgraded to an annual pass, knowing that I have to go back!), I plan to try the Downtown Disney excursion with my convention buddies. I'll let you all know how it is.

Hey fellow LOTW - I know someone here will be sympathetic!

I am SO majorly, totally, utterly, incredibly disappointed!!!!

The F&W Fest information has been released and the one event I wanted to go to, the Brewer's Dinner, isn't on the list for this year!!

I can't be a sissie and drink wine ;) and most everything else appears to be a commercial for Sam Adams. What am I going to do now??? UGH! This is just awful! :sad2:

So sorry Maine Jen! Although I am not a beer drinker, I was interested in possible attending something like taht for my DH's sake. Plus...I am always interested in learning more about food pairings with ANY alcoholic beverage!

I have not yet seen the complete list of events. I did see that Oct 9th there is a dinner at Jiko, so maybe we will attend that. But I am looking for activities during the week to check out. I will have to go see if those are posted yet (lunches and such.)

Disneyholic-You mean you didn't crash Club 33??? You really let me down! :sad2: LOL!

Jen - I am so sorry about the Brewer's Dinner! :( I hope you still have a fun time at the F&WF. Even though it's not an "event", there is nothing quite as fun as just eating and drinking your way around the world showcase. I can definitely empathize with your disappointment though. Back in June when we were at Jiko, they told us that the November wine dinner was going to be on Sunday, the 6th, not the usual first Thursday of the month. So we booked our hotel room and all that jazz to revolve around being there for the Sunday wine dinner. Needless to say I was very disappointed when I saw that the dinner is on *Thursday the 3rd*. I talked to the cast members at Jiko though and they said that they might have a second dinner on the 6th.

WLL - Hi! :)

Pairings? How often do they have them? I will be there Nov. 10-14 and want to try it this year. :)

Pooh, check out this thread (post #40, specifically).....it seems to have the most information about the F&WF events. :sunny:

The good news is that there is life AFTER kids!! My DH and I are empty nesters, and Disney World has completely taken on new meaning! Now my 23 year-old daughter accompanies me to Jellyrolls (and occasionally enjoys a drink along the monorail...) :earsgirl:

You just need to find a good babysitter! DH and I took my MIL along on one of our longer trips to WDW. At night, she stayed with our son while we went out to Pleasure Island or one of the lounges, etc. And after a few drinks, you don't even mind your MIL is there. :rotfl:

(Just kidding about my MIL, we get along great.)

Hey everyone! I'm just about to start planning a last minute weekend get away with the bf and i'm pretty excited. I def need a vacation! I'm going to call today and see what DVC studios are available and book the airline and the hotel within the week! Any suggestions?

Ya know - this isn't a DISboard thread, it's our own little lushful community. :goodvibes

When some folks I know decided they didn't belive that there is a drink at WDW called the Backscratcher and that it comes with a real backscratcher, I knew right where to go to get proof. So, my little lushful community, does anyone have a picture of a Backscratcher from the Polynesian???

Can you believe they think I'm pulling their legs! I don't know why they would think that!! :rolleyes1
