Anyone know where I can get a good lemonade?
The BEST lemonade is the frozen style that is available at MGM / Disney Studios at Min and Bill's Dockside

They serve a frozen Minute Maid Frozen Lemonade that is incredible.

BECAREFUL of the brain freeze!!!!

Mister Disney - Welcome to the monorail drink-a-thon! :sunny: The martini from Mizner's sounds delicious!

Hello Mr Disney, and welcome! :wave2:

Mizner's will always hold a special place in my heart, as it was there that I indulged in my first ever dirty martini. It is now my "signature beverage!

Awww! :) As you know, dirty martinis are my drink of choice too...I remember my first one also. It's crazy what we remember. I've not yet been to Mizner's, but we have plans to go during our September trip. :sunny:

Sunday afternoon our bartender made me a killer Mizner's Martini. It was chocolate liquor with creme etc!

Hey Mr. D - Welcome!

Those sound yummy, yummy, yummy! Thanks for the suggestion, will have to add it to my list!!

Cheers!

So how does one join your group? Is there an initiation? Do I need references? Do current members vote in new people? Should I offer to pay someone off?

I see some of you have

:drinking1 Proud to be a LOTW! :drinking1

in your siggies.

Can I join, even though Kevin only does diet coke and coffee? I try to drink enough for both of us.... :rotfl2:

I believe the policy still remains that if you like to drink you can join! haha at least thats how it was waaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in the beginning of this thread! now you might have to send a shot to all current members! ;)

Hey didn't really want to scroll back through all the bazillion posts. What are the best lounges to hit on the monorail? BTW hi to everyone...havent been here in a while!!!

There seems to be no initiation but I'm planning my own initiation for Sept 30 with my first official "Monorail something something". [Note: I gotta come up with a better name than a Drink-A-Thon because that has the conotation of drinking as much as you can until you pass out. My mum kinda freaked when she first heard me say Drink-A-Thon, especially since it's a solo trip. ]

As far as the actual lounges, everyone has their own preferences. General consensus is to stop at each of the resorts on the Monorail line and have a drink or two. Then, if you're up to it, hop off at MK and try to do the MK Mountain Crawl - Space, Thunder & Splash. These are the ones I've heard of, but no one has given details or specialty drinks for each.

Wilderness Lodge - Territory Lounge
Contemporary - Outer Rim
Polynesian - Tamu Lounge
Grand Floridian - Mizners

Some people eat along the way, some believe in prolonging the experience by starting at Wilderness Lodge. Pictures of drinks are always cheered for and welcomed, as well as pictures of the condition of those people enjoying said drinks.

To me, if you're proud to say you enjoy an adult drink at WDW - you're a LOTW. A lot of people hide it because WDW is such a "family" place to be.

Cheers!

This is the most amazing thing I've ever seen! It combines two of my favorite things: Disney and cocktails. :drinking:

I'm quite sure at this point that life doesn't get much better than that. I'll have to remember the monorail loop for when I go back next year!

Well, I think Maine Jen summed it up PERFECTLY! Especially the part about "PRIDE!"

Welcome Mr D! :cheer2: I know you are great about talking pics and posting reviews...so I look forward to your next report and some pics here on our thread!

Tomolives? Is that a combo of tomatoes and olives? Do share! Although so far, I prefer yummy blue cheese stuffed olives. Mmmmm....

Megmeg-I am so bummed we will not be at F&W Fest at the same time...I would LOVE to have a dirty martini with you!!!!

Im telling Meli for our next trip instead of Monorail or Boardwalk Drink-a-thon (what do I mean 'instead of'? we're gonna end up doing it anyway :3dglasses)...I wanna do a Burger tour around the world and eat all the fatty burgers and drink all the delicious beer possible.

can it be done? in due time my fellow lushes...in due time.

I make homemade blue cheese stuffed olives at Christmas time for my holiday parties. They are heavenly....I use queen olives (no pun intended... :rotfl: ) and Danish blue cheese. We probably eat a third of them as we're making them, but its a fun afternoon.

Tomolives?
Direct from the website....
No, it’s not an olive, but a unique pickled tomato grown from our exclusive seed. Hand-picked, cured, and finished in small batches. Tomolives make the “Ultimate”martini garnish and will liven any relish tray!

Mr. D - Your homemade blue cheese olives sound soooo good! I love blue cheese stuffed olives in my martinis!

WLL - I know, I am bummed that we won't be there at the same time too! We will probably be down in S FL towards the end of the year or in January though, I'll let you know when I know more! :sunny:

Thank you, sounds good. Please tell Aidensmom she needs to take me there ;)

Ooooo! That is Aiden??? He is sooo cute! LOL at the pic...where is that? You have him hanging out at tiki bars already?

Mister Disney-LOL queen olives! I started making blue cheese stuffed olives but had to stop...I can't have them in the house...I eat them all. I used Maytag Blue when I made them...mmmm! That is what they use at the Territory Lounge at my beloved WL! Thanks for the link...I may just have to order some of those. I see Ketel One endorses the tomolives as the best garnish for their martinis!

megmeg-keep me posted!

Hello Pixiedust! Welcome back...don't be a stranger!

Ahhhh...sounds like a good idea. Do you think there are a good amount of worthwhile burgers at WDW? I never order burgers at WDW...doesn't seem "special" enough...but if your journey leads you to some wonderful burger find, I will have to try it!

Aidensmom and Maine_jennifer, are we still set for our meet Sept. 30th??
Anyone else want to join us??
:drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1
