I go for my 20 week ultrasound today!

But we aren't finding out the sex!

I keep having this fear that the Ultrasound tech is going to slip and tell us!

Enjoy every second of viewing your little sweetie! :cloud9: There is nothing like it. Fill us in later please.

I started feeling flutters around the 4 month mark. This is my first baby, so at first I didn't know if it was the baby or gas I felt.;)

December- I hope you make it thru tomorrow. :cheer2:

Dannysmom- Keep up the good work on your bedrest.:thumbsup2

IHeartTink- Enjoy your u/s today. There is nothing to describe the feeling of seeing your baby on the monitor.

On Sunday, Cathy twice felt some flutteriness that she believes is the baby moving about. We are only at 14 or 15 weeks. How early did you guys first feel the baby move?

I felt my first flutters at 15 weeks and then at 18 she was kicking up a storm and hasn't really let down since. I felt her really move around at about 23 or 24 weeks. They are each very different feelings... I bet Cathy's flutters are your little one!

(this is my first and everyoen tells me that 15 weeks is super early to feel anything, but I know now that I was feeling her back then.:thumbsup2

Now you have to be patient, because it took WAY longer before DH could feel anything. I think it was 22 weeks when he felt her for the first time. She just does not like to kick him!

Yay!! I would just say something at the very beginning of the appointment.:goodvibes

And thanks for the idea to register other people for the coupons!! I can't believe I didn't think of that!

Okay so I just spent over 300 dollars at Destination Maternity :scared1: But I honestly don't feel bad about it because I rarely, if ever, spend that kind of money on myself. And the best part is that I found the most GORGEOUS maxi dress for my baby shower in two weeks! That was the whole point of my shopping excursion today. I am so excited because I actually feel really, really beautiful in this dress :goodvibes Other than the dress (which was a little over 100 dollars) I also got some bermuda shorts, two pairs of capris (one is more of a cargo and the other one is jeans material), and three tops. Also invested in some spanx-like stuff for the dress since it's a little clingy in areas ;) I love everything I bought though :thumbsup2

I also had a doctors appointment this morning and everything was looking good with Jake! Strong heartbeat, nice and healthy. And I still haven't gained any weight thank goodness. It sucks being heavy before you get pregnant but my dr. says I have done really well and I should be proud of myself. I guess that's why I went and spent all that money afterwards :teeth:

You deserve it,:thumbsup2 good for you. Glad you are going to feel beautiful for your shower!!!

That actually reminds me of something else I wanted to ask you ladies. Where do you buy reasonably priced everyday maternity wear? We tried Old Navy, but they just had a few items and nothing that knocked Cathy's socks off.

Only places I have had success were Kohl's, JC Penney.com, and Motherhood Maternity. Motherhood maternity was the most expensize of the three.

I bought a lot of my things at Motherhood (located in the mall) and Target. I did pick up a few things at Kohl's as well. I really didn't need to wear maternity clothes until I was at 20 weeks. So far everything I bought still fits me. I did buy one cotton top that will not make it to my due date. I will be lucky if I get 2 more weeks out of it.;)

I bought a lot of mine at Old Navy but a lot of the stuff is only be sold online now. Plus there sizing is funny on me. I have to try there stuff on. I also bought stuff at Kohls if you have one near you.

You're getting so close too, Patsy! Man time really has flown by. I remember when I first joined this thread...I was only 8 or 9 weeks I think. Now I'm already in my last trimester and you're due in just a few short weeks. Crazy! It's all so exciting though :goodvibes

I know! The girl at work today pulled out orders for Jury Duty on May 28th. She called the court office and goes "Here is the deal. We have 4 employees. One is ready to pop out a baby and I don't think she'll still be around by then. Another is on vacation that week. So if you guys make me do jury duty, there will be ONE person to do our jobs."
When she got off I looked at her and said "You really think he'll be born by then?" "Oh, yeah, Patsy. I have a feeling." :scared1:

I hope everyone had a great mother's day! I received a gift certificate for a pregnancy massage! (YES!!!) And the lady doing it has the maternity table so I will be able to lay on my stomach!!!! I have it set up for tomorrow morning while MAdeline is at school.

Our little plot worked! ;)

I I am NOT happy. So I decided to log in-who cares if they like it! I only have one more day of work here:cool1:!

Katie hasn't slowed down yet-she moves all the time. That is part of the reason I'm so sore-she's so big now that when she moves it stretches me out in every direction!

You go girl! I would have logged in, too! :rotfl:
I'm really happy Lucas has picked up on moving, I feel more comfortable with how things are going with him in there than when I would go weeks with nothing!!

Do they know you're not coming back yet??

I was almost 17 weeks, but I have a movement phobic baby boy in there!

I first felt movement with this pregnancy on New Years Eve. I remember because of when it was. My conception date was around 10/1... so i would have been around three months. Flutters is exactly how to describe it too, it was only once and a while at that point. Cathy could definitely be feeling something already ;).

Ann

Can you believe we're getting so close, Ann?! I first felt Lucas on Christmas Eve. I thought it was so cool and I know I'll never forget it happened then. So neat you've got the same thing- a holiday!! :lovestruc

Almost everything I have is from JCPenny. I have 1 tank top from Old Navy that I wear under some stuff. My work pants are from Sears- Black Friday deal that I'm glad I took advantage of as the pants I bought at JCP don't fit anymore. :sad2:
The first weekend I found out I was pregnant I started watching the maternity clearance racks and picked stuff up that I liked. :rotfl: The shirt I'm wearing right now is actually the first thing I bought... for $3.99! :thumbsup2

Thats so awesome, though! Congrats on finding something gorgeous- I'm too cheap to spend that much on myself for clothes [but I'd spend it on something for my kitchen ] but I know I felt the same way whenever I got that flowered shirt for my baby shower. It was nice to have something I felt comfy and special in. :goodvibes

..... I'll report back once I figure out the technology side of this mess. Ultrasound lady let me video tape some of the ultrasound with the camcorder (didn't turn out the BEST, but I'm thrilled that I thought to ask her!) and I've gotta figure out how to reinstall the crap where I wiped my laptop out a few days ago... stinkin' technology!!

OMG, I hate you!! That's so awesome that you haven't gained, especially with PCOS! I'm so jealous. What have you been eating?!

You definitely deserve the shopping spree!:worship:

Alright. I'm not a techie. I can't do it. Maybe after a trip to Radio Shack. We shall see.

I would like to say Lucas' head measured 38 weeks and he weighs in at 7lbs3ounces.... lucky me. :sad2:

Eager to see what my Dr. says Thursday!!

I'm agreeing with your co-worker, he'll be here by the end of the month. I guess we'll see. :surfweb:

Most of my maternity came from the jcpenney.com outlet. We also have an outlet store here called Burke's Outlet that had a really good selection. I got jeans for $7 that I loved way more than the $30 pair from Motherhood!

Piecey, no one knows yet. I went yesterday and filled out my paperwork and got fingerprinted. The board meets tonight, so tomorrow it will start leaking. I'm going to call the new principal at 9 in the morning (my planning pd) and make sure it is all a go before turning in my resignation (which has been typed up for days now!).

I made it ok today-just achy again. One of our seniors did not pass a correspondance Trig course he had to have to graduate, so gues who they sent him to for help redoing 2 sections :confused3(he only needed one pt, so they are letting him try again). I worked with him for 2 hours, and finally told him I was tired and he could come back in the morning. I've been offering to help him all semester, and 1 wk before graduation he decided to take me up on it!

Same for me! :thumbsup2 We have an awesome consignment shop that carries a ton of MT clothes so I found a few things to tide me over this time around. I got a MiMi dress for $15 and a really cute shirt from PITP that I wear all the time. It had one of those sheer tanks but it was so long I can see why someone got rid of it. I just cut it out and bought a blue tank to put under it. I haven't bought a ton since I just bought it all not too long ago. It was fun though to pick out new stuff. Especially if it picks you up a little. The most I spent was for jeans because I have to have the extra length. I think it was $95 for both from Motherhood. Yikes, it's a good thing they last more than one baby.

Well it's not so much what I have been eating as what I haven't been eating. The first 5 months I was sick constantly, month 6 I felt good and ate regularly, now in my last trimester I am back to getting sick a lot. And on top of that I have horrible heartburn no matter what I eat but there's a lot of stuff that makes it worse that I have to stay away from. I had acid reflux before I got pregnant but the medicine I took isn't allowed during pregnancy. All I can take is TUMS or Pepcid AC and neither one of those cut it. I swear, sometime it feels like I could breathe flames because my heartburn is so bad. I hate it! But yeah...that's why I haven't gained weight I think. Between the throwing up and heartburn it hasn't allowed me to gain any.

So yes, I DID deserve the shopping spree :rotfl2:

And as far as maternity clothing, everything I have bought has been either from Motherhood or Target. I couldn't find any jeans that had the right fit at anywhere other than Motherhood. They were 35 bucks a pop but I love them and didn't mind spending the money because of that. I can actually still fit into a lot of my polo's that I wore pre-pregnancy for work so I didn't have to worry about buying a ton of new tops. But the ones I have bought were either from Motherhood or Target as well.

We have alot of moms who were due and we have not heard from yet. Can't wait to see some new babies on here.

--- Has anyone heard from Melissa, Skylarr? Seems like she has not posted in a bit, I know they were settling the new house.

I haven't even seen Mr. and Mrs. Smith around the boards for a long time, much less here.

Still wondering about Scornelius.

Also, have we heard anymore about Caleb from Tiggerstac?

I have an awesome consignment store here that I have gotten a lot from, plus some from the consignment sale that my sisters' had. I have gotten a few things from Target, JCPenney, Motherhood Maternity and Old Navy.

Our little plot worked! ;)

It seems that it did! I figured he would get me one but I was beginning to wonder since I am getting closer to the due date (well, closer to when I think I am going to deliver, actually!)

It will be interesting to see if your co-worker is right!

I hope we do hear something from those who are/were due around now. It seems to reengerize the thread when we have new babies being born!
