You were not a loser, we should consider ourselves lucky to have made it as far as we did. After all what were the odds. Really! I knew I had a long shot, I did get really excited once I made it to round 2. I guess next time we should be more creative. Everything happens for a reason, who knows maybe they really will follow up with us.

Glad to see this thread hasn't died yet (although we have a new home in the "just for fun" category )!! I'm traveling today, so I had to schedule my interview for tomorrow. I'm jealous of all of you who got it done early! One more sleepless night, and then I'll be back to (or doing the same at the phone)

Well...my interview is over. I hope it went well, but I am not sure. You never know how you are doing as you just ramble on about Disney.

One thing I will clarify. People have been talking about the trips to Disney as part of the training and vacation. When the panelists go in December, they will be going through a rigorous training experience and will not have a lot of time to be with their families. Another trip...the vacation trip...is a five night six day trip that is a thank you for being on the panel and is a vacation for the panelist and 3 guests. Does that all make sense?

Now all I have to do is wait and wish everyone else good luck on their interviews. The Disney folks are so great to talk to...it just impresses me everytime how passionate they are about WDW, and hopefully they will know I am too.

They will let us know the final results next Wednesday.

That is so nice of you to say. Thank you very much...but once you start talking in these interviews, you never know if you are going to come off ok. You never realyl know what they are looking for. I make a good impression in person normally, but on the phone I cannot see their faces and read their expressions...especially when you are on speaker phone and you have no idea what they are thinking...saying...

WE will see....

Hi JoRy - I feel the same way...I was very/nervous excited, but the folks on the panel were great. They made me feel at ease...although I'm not sure if I came across that way! LOL I've been up since 3:30 so hopefully I made some sense to them! Now I'm in the Monday morning quarterback stage. Oh well, it's over...just hope it's enough.

Continued good luck everyone...the interview will be the fastest 15 minutes of your life and the next week will probably be the longest.

You guys did okay, I was worried during round 2 about the same things. I thought maybe there would be some sort test if we made it to the interview (how much do we really know about Disney). My thoughts have now changed, I think what they really want is a diverse crowd who may know different things but as a whole they can cover any topic. If you were the same person throughout I think they would be able to tell that.(I mean if your humor came out in your essays, as well as, in the interview than they know you are being true to yourself). All in all that is what matters most. I really think these people have been trained to read between the lines. I would be worrying just like you, but it is out of your hands now and what will be will be! Best of luck to you guys, remember it was just a contest and who ever really thought it would turn out like this. I mean so many felt they were "perfect" for this job and who are we to say just what "perfect" was. You guys made it this far and that should say something!! Is it the Backyardagains (kids cartoon) that says What's gonna work "Team Work" and those of you who make it will be part of one KICK BUTT team.

Thanks, I do have a tough job trying to play ref. with 3 small kidos. However; it is not all that often that I'm allowed to speak in "adult language" I think it is my degree in Advertising and Marketing that helps. I love focus groups and research studies, but don't get the chance to partake often. (Part of the reason I was so passionate about the panel and all) Please keep me informed.

No, it was not...but I was up late watching the Red Sox (yeah! Red Sox!!) and up early because I couldn't sleep. I have no idea how I came across. Honestly, I don't remember all I said! Or what they said for that matter! I've never been more excited in my life!! They were very, very nice though - and I didn't expect anything different there.

I agree with RatBoy (I feel so rude calling you that, even if it IS your username...I feel like I'm taunting you ) - I am envious of those of you who have your interviews over already! What a sigh of relief you must be breathing.

I am hopeful that I will not sound nervous on the phone. I'm so excited I doubt I will sleep well.

5/4 Disney - Thanks for thinking of me! I hope that the training wouldn't mess me up as well, *if* I get a chance to go that far and find out. Dh said that I could put dd on the rapid weaning program so she'd be weaned before then, but I hate to do that. This may very well be our last baby and I'm enjoying every moment of it. BUT - everything happens for a reason, so if I don't make it I know it's all good. There's just another plan for me! (But I reeeeaaly want this to be the plan! )

So I don't know how much y'all talked about it, or how many questions you asked, but does anyone know where the moms would be staying? And can the family vacation be at any time? To which resorts? Totally putting the cart before the horse here I know, but this is like winning the lottery to me - fun to daydream about the details, even if I never win. I'm hoping the winners would get a peek inside the Cinderella Castle Suite.

I've got to say, I really don't have a clue, this is all speculation, but I would think that they would help you work something out for DD. I don't think they would want you to force weaning. Having said that, I had to go on a 5 day trip when my DD was 9 months. I packed the pump, and we muddled through. Poor thing had to live on formula for a few days, but she doesn't even remember it. No permament damage!

Also, you are certain to have a peak in the castle suite! I am sooooo jealous! You must write back with details! If you make it, which, of course, you ALL will!

Just wanted to jump on here and wish good luck to all of you who interviewed/will be interviewing in the next couple days! I couldn't find this thread again, had to go back to my emails and get the link from there, now it makes sense, the thread moved off the board it was on!

I would really love to know how many made it to round 2...we know out of those, only 26 made it to round 3, but I'd love to know how many got as far as round 2. I was so thrilled to have gotten even that far, very surprised with 10,000 applicants to start!

Some were wondering where the panelists will stay for the training in December....my guess would be either the YC, BC, BW, CR, GF, or CS because those are the resorts that have conference centers.

Good luck to everyone and I can't wait to hear who made it, but you should all be really proud of yourselves, 26 out of 10,000 is incredible!
