Mommy and Jack's 2nd Fall Adventure is canceled!

I followed a link to your PTR from the September thread! :goodvibes

Love your plans so far! :thumbsup2 It looks like you have picked some great CS meals! Isn't it exciting when our kids finally reach those height milestones :cool1: Last year my 4 year old was finally able to ride all those you mentioned...and she loved all of them. Big Thunder, Splash mountain were two of her favorites and she even loved TOT, rode it over and over :cutie:

Sounds like you have a wonderful trip planned. Can't wait to hear more about your plans!

:welcome: I love that September thread, it is pretty lively... Unfortunately when I change my dates to October I will have to stop posting over there I suppose :rolleyes1

I can't wait to see Jack's reactions to all the new rides!

Yeah for 40"!!!! I know just what you mean about the lapbars in splash- I remember holding onto my daughter for dear life! I was just sure she could fly out. And we only tested this a couple times- but my theory is that the person sitting next to the lightest weighted person will get the most wet on Kali!

This information makes me nervous about Kali, since the odds are high that Jack will be the lightest person... and I think people would frown upon me making my son sit away from me... but I guess I will suffer through!:rotfl:

Of course not, you can always be one of our 'honorary September travellers" :cool1:
In fact, I believe there is already one honorary member on that thread!

that was one time i was not jealous that my kids chose to sit next to grandma rather than me:rotfl2:

Hey Stephanie!!! I'm all caught up now!!! :thumbsup2

I completely understand why you changed your dates again! I am dreading going back to work because it is already hard enough planning a vacation around my husband's work schedule. I can't imagine having to plan around his work & my work...and eventually Luke's school too! At my last job, I had to give them my "final vacation schedule" almost 18 months in advance! Its going to be hard if I need to do something similar to that because my husband never knows until maybe 4-6 months ahead of time.

I think it will definitely take the pressure off of you moving it back to October. Its always nice with a toddler to have a few extra vacation days saved up...you never know when something will come up.

That's so exciting that you have so many fun trips coming up!!! Are you going to post mini-TR's of your cousin's wedding & your cruise??? :rolleyes1

Soooo awesome that you will be able to go to F&W and MNSSHP!!! F&W is my dream!!! I'm actually trying to convince my parents that they need to go to F&W since their trip is mid-October. They're basing their entire trip off the opening of LegoLand so they aren't sure of their dates yet, but they'll definitely be there during F&W! I have the tendency to make them "test out" things I want to do at Disney! I doubt they'll listen to me this year though because they weren't overly fond of Tusker House or MNSSHP when I "forced them" to go last year!

Make sure to take lots of pictures of F&W while you're there!!! Did the menu come out yet for this year? Just wondered, even though I won't be there, I like to drool over the dessert pics! I always look at them on allears.net!!!

What is a fridge swap? You wrote something about being able to get one for October but not September.

About free dining...all I can say is CHECK BACK a million times!!!! Just keep calling Disney about once a month to double check to see if you have any PIN codes available. My mom got a card in the mail that she has a free dining pin (expires sometime at the beginning of August so she can't use it either). So I called Disney & asked...and what do you know? My husband has a free dining PIN! Unfortunately it expires May 1st. I asked the CM that I spoke to on the phone about other PIN codes & she said unfortunately they are completely random & done by marketing...but she hinted to me that new ones are being released for fall beginning in April. Just a heads-up...not sure about the reliability of the info, but it never hurts to call & ask!

Congrats on being one of the final 2 applicants for the job that you applied for!!! I know its hard going up against a friend to get a promotion, but its awesome that you will be happy for each other no matter who gets it! :goodvibes

Awesome choice for Pirates League!!! I've always wanted to try that! If I can't decide on a costume for Luke & I for MNSSHP, we'll definitely be doing this! I'm not sure if he'll sit & let them do the make-up, but I've seen pictures where kids only had a little make-up on & they were cute too!

No sense in switching resorts if you love Pop!!! I'll be asking you for some tips regarding Pop for my parents too! They're staying there for the first time in October!

Your spring cruise sounds fabulous!!!! Plane tickets are so expensive! I'm really hoping to find a good deal for September because its completely ruining my budget for our trip! I think right now the best "deal" I can get is $1100 and thats basically paying full price. If fuel prices go up this summer, I'm afraid to know what it will cost. That's awesome that you only have to pay for the plane tickets & bar! It will allow you to save up some money for souvenirs & of course for your fall Disney trip!!!

I know what you mean about vacation freezes! People look at me as if I'm half nuts when I mention Luke isn't even 3 yet & he's already been to Disney twice & we are planning our third trip! Everytime a commercial comes on tv, Luke says "mommy can we go there?" I'm definitely thinking that we need to cut back after this trip. Maybe go every other year or something? I'm not sure yet.

Definitely keep trying to call Disney every few weeks & check on another PIN code. Did you go to the Disney site & save a bunch of vacations under your account? I'm not sure if thats what alerts Marketing to send a PIN, but I've heard that it does. Never hurts to try, right? Even though we've already booked for September, I even went in my account & saved vacations for October & December...figured it might give me an opportunity to get a Fall PIN code! I'll let you know how my theory works out! :lmao:

Can't wait to hear more about your plans!!!! I love looking at your list...it just looks like such a fun-filled yet relaxing vacation! I'm actually quite jealous!

i've been testing this too. I made the dining reservations under my account. I saved trips on or near our dates- both at the resort we wanted and some at deluxe and values. I also saved some with dining and some without. I did this on my account(with the dining ressies) and also on my hubbies account and on an account from back before I was married, under my maiden name. I did it for a few months and got two pins about 3 months out. Both were under my maiden name account. I'm not sure if that was because there were no dining or past trips tied to that email. I did save all the trips for all the emails on the same computer so maybe it has something to do with ip address too? I'd say save from multiple computers and emIls if you can and you've got a good chance!

Hey there! I just want to say that I totally think that it is an EXCELLENT idea to do Pirates League the night of MNSSHP!! We did it back in 2009 for the party and Devon still talks about wanting to do it again! It is such a great experience!

I too have a goal to go to Disney for 2 weeks in 2013!!! We are doing the Dream next April and after that NO MORE vactions till either Sept or Nov 2013, to which it will be a 2 week getaway. I'm so hoping the fantasyland expansion is done by then. I'm thinking I will most likely base my trip around that!

Of course not, you can always be one of our 'honorary September travellers" :cool1:

Well it's good to know I can hang around and watch the action unfold!!

That's crazy!! I love to plan in advance, and even I wouldn't commit to something a year and a half out!!
I think it will definitely take the pressure off of you moving it back to October. Its always nice with a toddler to have a few extra vacation days saved up...you never know when something will come up.

This week has definitely taught me that a few days of wiggle room is essetial! I haven't had to call in sick, but I did have to leave work after only an hour yesterday so I could get Jack to the doctor!
That's so exciting that you have so many fun trips coming up!!! Are you going to post mini-TR's of your cousin's wedding & your cruise??? :rolleyes1

I will have to!! Otherwise how will I keep all my loyal readers occupied for the next 7 months!!??

They didn't like Tusker House?? I can't believe it! The awesome thing about F&W is it gives you an opportunity to try things you wouldn't normally try. I am determined to push my boundaries!
Make sure to take lots of pictures of F&W while you're there!!! Did the menu come out yet for this year? Just wondered, even though I won't be there, I like to drool over the dessert pics! I always look at them on allears.net!!!

The info for this year isn't out yet, but I checked out the menus from last year and it seems likely that a lot of things will be carried over.
What is a fridge swap? You wrote something about being able to get one for October but not September.

A fridge swap is where one person buys a mini fridge and uses it for their trip (rather than paying to rent one at the values). When they are done, they pass it on to the next person. It's way more organized than that, with people exchanging phone numbers etc, but you get the idea. Some of them even have toasters and coffee makers too!! There are only a handful of swaps still out there, a lot of them end up losing the fridge when it goes to bell services. I know they have stroller swaps too.

I do plan on checking back repeatedly, possibly even becoming an irritation until they give me pin just to shut me up! I am confident that SOME discount will be released. I just wish it would happen so I can stop worrying. I will add the QSDP regardless, but it would be nice to save some money...
Congrats on being one of the final 2 applicants for the job that you applied for!!! I know its hard going up against a friend to get a promotion, but its awesome that you will be happy for each other no matter who gets it! :goodvibes

Thanks! Everything here takes FOREVER, so I still don't even know when the next(and last) interview is...

I think it will be fun for both of us. I think I will convice Jack to do minimal makeup, since I know I will be the one scrubbing it off at the end of the night!
No sense in switching resorts if you love Pop!!! I'll be asking you for some tips regarding Pop for my parents too! They're staying there for the first time in October!

I do love Pop. I wish it was in the budget to stay Deluxe, but not this time...

Those tickets still ran us $800 for the two of us, but it's 3 flights, and we have already gotten a bunch of SW credits ($230 between the 5 of us). Not to mention I need the points for my free flight to Orlando!!

I just think maybe it's time to save for the future... even if it's only fro a future trip!! I want to have one trip where we do everything we want to do and have plenty of time to do it!
Definitely keep trying to call Disney every few weeks & check on another PIN code. Did you go to the Disney site & save a bunch of vacations under your account? I have a couple saved, but I haven't tried that hard yet. I need to start saving them under all my email addresses!
Can't wait to hear more about your plans!!!! I love looking at your list...it just looks like such a fun-filled yet relaxing vacation! I'm actually quite jealous!

I have just found that unless we are there fro 2 weeks, we won't get everything done so there is no reason to stress ourselves out trying to!

Sorry...that was longer than I thought...

That's ok, it kept me busy at work, especially since the first time I responded, it didn't save so I had to do it twice!!!

i've been testing this too. I made the dining reservations under my account. I saved trips on or near our dates- both at the resort we wanted and some at deluxe and values. I also saved some with dining and some without. Luckily I move computers most days at work, so the IP address changes. I have 2 emails I am currently trying with...

I'm so glad you told me that about Pirates League! I think it will be a fun experience for both of us!

Yay for the Dream! My plan for 2013 is 2 days Deluxe (maybe even Platinum Plan so we can do some of the shows and tours for free!) then 3 days on the Dream, then 7 nights at the new Value opening next year, so we can spend some time with friends and family that will join us!

I am hoping that most of the expansion is done by April 2013. I'm pretty sure it's being done in phases, so I'm keeping fingers crossed! Plus Jack will be so much older, there will be plenty of things that are new to him!

Well, this is my Friday night so I am off the next 2 days! It will be a busy and fun 2 days though, including plenty of Disney magic, so stayed tune for some awesome updates!

Well, here I am, back at work, after a super fun, super Disney 2 days off!!

Wednesday we had tickets to Disney's Toy Story 3 On Ice. The show started at 7, and we were cutting it pretty close. As soon as we got through the turnstiles, I picked up a program that came with mouse ears. We had really good seats, row L, and the view was great, even for Jack! The show started out with Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy, and I won't even lie, I teared up a bit at the sight of them and Jack's reaction. The kids everywhere went nuts!!! I really enjoyed the show, it wasn't the Toy Story 3 plot exactly, there was plenty of acts from other movies, and I found it very entertaining. We bought some popcorn during intermission, as well as a Buzz Lightyear mug with a rainbow ice in it. After the show we got Jack a stuffed Little Green Alien Man that he was asking for. The show was right about 2 hours long, which was nice since the tickets were not cheap! Of course it took us 20 minutes to get out of the parking garage, so it made for a bit of a late night, but it really was fun.

Thursday there was a State Farm exhibit at a local shoppng center. They were featuring Lightning McQueen, Mater, and Finn McMissile from the new Cars 2 movie. It was set up a lot like DHS, the cars were exactly like those models, revving engines etc. There were also some "missions" including an obstacle course, and when you completed missions you got prizes. We were on short time, and we had waited in line for the cars, so we didn't do the missions, but the whole event looked really cool, and it was free. They even had photographers there to take your picture with the cars (hence the line) and they will be available online for free.

I did take pictures at both events, but I couldn't find my camera, so I had to take them with my phone, and I am having some trouble getting them from my phone to my computer to upload them... but as soon as I do I will add them!

I also went ahead and pre-ordered Tangled as one of my Disney Movie Club offers, and ordered Jack's birthday present... his Buzz Lightyear bike!!! So it has been a very Disney week!!

Sounds like your two Disney days were awesome :cloud9:

I can just picture your son's reaction to the characters at the Disney on Ice show! :lovestruc

Can't wait to see your pics!

Although I haven't changed my reservation with Disney, I did change my vacation request here at work, so it's half official that the trip is moving to October!

Sounds like your two Disney days were awesome :cloud9:

I really wish I could get my phone to work right! I think I will have to email them each to myself individually...

Sounds like a couple of really fun days!

Thanks! They were great. Especially since I will be working 6 days this week :scared1:

It's 3/4 official now, I changed my ticker!! I think I am going to wait until after the first week of April to rebook... I just hate the idea of going through the proces twice... and since the latest promotion ended yesterday I figured I'd give it some time. I was checking out the discounts threads, and no one seems to have heard any substantial rumors as to when anything will be released... so I will probably end up booking without it.

Well, the nice thing about booking without a discount is that if they release one, you can have it adjusted :)

I really wish I could get my phone to work right! I think I will have to email them each to myself individually...

Thanks! They were great. Especially since I will be working 6 days this week :scared1:

Can you email them to your email accout? Thats how I get my pictures...or post them to facebook (I have to email them to my facebook too) and then I can copy them to here.
