I felt like I was there with you, especally your last TS at Ohana, that was our last TS too last December, and all those last night feelings came flooding back.
Excellent job, I really enjoyed your writing and your humor!! :thumbsup2

Isn't the last night soooo sad? I was tired, but I still didnt want to go home :guilty:

By the way, something else I've discovered if you download the "flock" option on photobucket, not only can you drag tons of pics from your computer to flock for fast upload, but you can also select for all them to be resized!! Of course I notice this AFTER I already upload a ton of them, so I'm still manually resizing them to post on the board. But it's so easy if you drag and drop and then have flock resize (you choose what size to resize to) so easy! Who knew??!! But that can really help you if you have a lot more pics to add.
Take care!!

OMG! I HAVE to do this! This is why it took me sooooo long to finish my report! I worked as hard on this report, as I did on some of my college papers!

Gmax,
Thanks for letting us be your "virtual" trip companions.

Everytime I walked into a park, I thought about all the DISers at work and home who wished they were there too! I'm glad you felt like you were there while reading my report!

Really great trip report, took me a couple of days to get all the way through.
I could have done it faster if the boss would have left me alone, I guess they think I am here to work.
HA! You sound like me! The other day I just said, "How dare they interrupt me while I'm on The DIS! What do they think I come here to do"?!

I used to have the same problem with my mom not being quite so thrilled about Disney as I was ("HEY LOOK, mom, the CASTLE!" "Yeah, okay.")

I *totally* relate to your POFQ problems at check-in, too! I got there a little before 3, and just kept waiting around because I was sure my room would be ready soon- didn't actually get it until almost 5!

That Butterfinger cheesecake looks YUMMY!

And WORD about the sizes of shirts at WDW! I'm built big (I'm tall and I've got da' ****ies!), and have had trouble finding shirts, too! And as if the lack of selection isn't bad enough, many of them are sized in junior sizes, so size Women's Large is really a size 16 Months. Not good for the ego!

Can't wait to see the rest of the pics!

First I want to thank all of you all for taking the time to read and respond to my report. I am honored by those of you who met me and are glad you did  LisaDKG, glad you had a GREAT trip, and that I was seated next to you on our last night there. I can't wait to hear more about your trip!

Today, my Mother came over for a visit. I made sure that she saw the report, and your responses. She says "hello" to all of you, and thanks you for all of your comments!

My Mother told me that she wanted to thank me for all of my planning for this trip. She felt as if the whole trip was catered to her, and she loved it. In light of the fact that she knew that I felt that she was not excited about the trip in the months leading up to it, and that she had such a great time, she wanted to do something special for me. She wanted to wait until Christmas, but felt that it would not have the same impact. She handed me a box, and in it was a miniature Royal Dalton tea set with the Old Country Roses Pattern on it. The same china from the tea with "The Tiaras".

I placed the light bulb behind them to give you a better idea of the scale of the set.

I think it is just lovely! I was shocked. It really felt like Christmas! I'm officially an Old Lady with "nick-knacks" in her home!

It was great that my Mother trully appreciated the trip and the planning, and let me know. She said that everytime I look at this set, she wants it to remind me of our trip to Disney World, and how much she enjoyed it.

Hopefully by the end of the week, I'll have more photos from the trip to share!
Thanks for going on this journey with me! :grouphug:

Ok - now I'm cussing at you!!! You made me cry first thing in the morning and I havent even had coffee yet!! I love your mom!!!!

Thanks again for the report and fun!

This day I wore my "DISboards" shirt. As we were walking towards the park, a Lady stopped me and said "I just had to say hello to you because of your shirt". Her son started to tell me her screen name but she stopped him. She said that she's on the DISboards all the time. I told her how excited I was about the trip, but sad that I would not be online for a whole week! Her husband just shook his head! So hello "Mystery" DISer! :wave2:

Well everyone, this morning I found out who the "Mystery DISer" is! Her name is "Skater", and we live in the SAME state! Can you believe it! So Skater, I did mention you in my report, and it was great meeting you and your family! And thanks for looking out for me that night on the shuttle bus (AFTER the lights when off) by letting me have a seat in the back with you! I REALLY did not want to stand all the way to the resort!

I like that your mother is telling her view of the trip.

Ok here's something that didn't make it into the report because of downloading problems, and I thought you guys might think it was weird.

The day we were in Animal Kingdom, as we were on our way to Dinosaur, my Mother wanted to stop to enjoy this group perform.

IMG_0592.jpg
IMG_0591.jpg

So while she was doing that, I went into the bathroom. Well, I thought it was one of the most nicest bathrooms I'd seen, so I took pictures. The whole
time I was PRAYING that no one would catch me.

IMG_0587-1.jpg

There were bugs in the tile on the wall . . .

IMG_0590.jpg

Check out the floor tile . . .

IMG_0588-1.jpg

They're FROGS!
IMG_0589-1.jpg

And yes! I have BLUE nail polish on my toes! Where else can you get away with that except Disney World!

This bathroom was too cute NOT to photograph! But my Mother thought I was a NUT when I came running out of the bathroom with the camera giggling and showing her what I did! Oh Well . . .

That's all for today of the photos that didnt make the trip report (tptdmtrp) :lmao:

See ya Later! :wave2:

WEIRD?!? That's not weird! I didn't see any toilets...that would have been weird! As for it being a nice bathroom...can I get the frog tiles for my bathroom at home? I LOVED  them!!!

Someone mentioned your Mom telling her side of the trip. Did I miss something??? :confused3 Is she writing a TR that I somehow have no knowlege of???? If so, how can i find it! It would be a blast to read both sides of the story!!!

OMG!!! :rotfl2: That bathroom is just too cute for words!!! We stopped to watch that band perform, too, that's later in my TR. Did you see the guys who were doing the limbo bar thing?? WOW!!! That's amazing!!! I've never seen anyone limbo so low!! They were right by the Dawa Bar.

OH! And btw, I really wanted one of those mickey head animal print shirts like you are wearing in one of your pictures, and I forgot to go back and buy it! Oh well, I'll put it on the list for next year! I also loved the cute shirt you were wearing - the brown one with the lacey type back? I was wondering what the front of that shirt looked like.

I love your blue nail polish. Do you have Rite Aid Pharmacy in MD? If so, they have glow in the dark nail polish! I got a bottle for my sister and I and she said it really glows. It's in the Halloween aisle.

I love the tea set your mom gave you. It's looks just like the ones we had at the tea. I just found your mom's trip report over on the welcome side. Your mom is so cool Glenda. :thumbsup2 Better keep an eye on her, someone might try to make off with her.... :smooth: I haven't talked to you in awhile and I feel like I'm missing something. :sad2:
I loved your trip report and all your pictures and I need to go back through and see if I missed any of your pictures.

Love ya'll :wave2:

Oh, dont duck I'm a fairly nice bear! (Or atleast I have bad aim anyway! ;) )

Could you go back soon so I can read your next TR??!!! :sunny:

Here I am - the mystery DISer. Thanks for the PM - I might have totally missed this trip report. Its a little depressing to read trip reports when mine is over! I am so sorry I didn't let DS give you my DIS name - I think I was worried about your privacy (Weird but true!). I've only read the first 4 pages of your report (I love it). We did a lot of the same things - loved Ohana breakfast, hated Coral Reef. Also hated the backwards part of Everest - I was praying too that I wouldn't get sick. I was so nervous I would throw up on all those kids. I'll read the rest soon. I'm so excited - its enough to make me start planning our next trip.

1. Thanks for not thinking that I'm crazy! Isn't that bathroom the cutest?

2. YES! I did see the men doing the Limbo. But since I was sooooo hot, I sat and waited while my Mother watched. It was when the performance was over that we ran into Eeyore's Tiara and Mickey Girl.

3. Glad you liked the brown shirt! It's plain in the front.
IMG_1033.jpg
OOOOOHHHH Funny story: Another lady on the backlot tour had the same shirt on, she was sitting in front of me on the tram. I thought it was sooo cute and funny! So I tapped her on the shoulder to tell her. She says "I know, I saw you earlier and told my husband". Later my Mother said "I don't think she was too happy about that"! I cracked up! It was then I wished that I told her how I got it on sale and paid next to nothing for it! HA!

4. Yes, we do have Rite Aid here, and thanks to you, my Mother will be horrified, because I'm going there as soon as I can to get a bottle!

As you know, we stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter. Well, I started looking for hidden Mickeys in the room. I really think my Mother thought that I was making this up until she saw some. Below are the Mickeys I found in the bed spread.

I thought the bed spread was a little ugly until I found Mickey in it!

Wow - the mystery dis'er appears!! Too funny! :teeth:

Good eye catching those Mickey's in the bedspread...it continues to amaze me after all these years just how detailed everything is with Disney...they don't miss a thing.

Yes! How creative! I can't believe how much detail WDW went into in a bathroom! It makes me wonder how some of the other bathrooms are in various areas. I never really noticed (but I will next time!)

I think I tried to get pictures of the limbo guys cuz they were doing a lot of things prior to the limbo but we were sitting at Dawa Bar and people started standing blocking our view. That was amazing!

Yes that shirt is too cute!! Too funny that some other lady was wearing it. Pffft! That she wasn't happy about it. I bet it looked better on you! :thumbsup2

YIKES! I gotta get in the shower!!!!

OH!! Btw, DF and I were in Target tonight cuz he needed to get the Diet Pepsi that was on sale, and I saw the same glow in the dark nail polish there that Rite Aid has, and it's cheaper at Target!

How sweet! I love your mother's thoughtful gift! How wonderful the memories of this mother/daughter trip will provide in the coming years!

I just got a chance to finish reading this... soooo many reports, so little time! And I have to keep mine up to boot! (Shameless plug, ala UM!)

I hope I get to meet up with dis-sers and continue the "Tiara Tea" tradition someday!

Thanks for sharing your trippie..... now I get to read your mothers! :goodvibes
