Hi ya all! It has been a long day because of not sleeping but I am still standing, okay leaning a bit, but standing.

The doctor had left a message to call back when we got home so I called. The aneurysm is stable but he now has a hernia. The man refuses to do any work around here, I have asked him to pick up sticks in the yard or something. I lift everything heavy, always have all these years and he slips over to the neighbors house and carries huge, heavy bags of water softener salt down to his basement. Surely this has nothing to do with his problem though and you cannot make him understand. Might as well explain to a toddler why they cannot have a piece of candy. He thinks I can correct anything. Not terminal stupidity, I cannot. I am mad at him. It is not nice to be mad at an old man who is killing himself though.

Pooh, did you call your doctor? It seems as if medicines can cause as much problems as they solve. I hope you have it under control now and are feeling much better. I will PM you in a bit.

Ang, the Safari thing sounds great. Is that the one where you have to stay at AKL though? I have put the new Tusker House buffet on my 'to try' list for this trip. I am in favor of longer and cheaper trips myself. More bang for the buck is my personal motto.

Bonz, I love Schoolhouse Rocks and hunted down a copy for my kids at the CC. I thought of you the other day when I saw a family with homeschool kids in the doctor's office. They were going about doing their workbooks and then settled down to a delightful game of chess. It is folks like that who put public schools to shame. What a bargain on airfares. If it were easier for me to get to an airport and I was more savvy I might be tempted to do that sometime myself. Hope you do not get caught up in all the cancellations I have been hearing about. I know that there are people who actually go other places but I keep worrying about the families who are not able to get to their Disney vacations that they have long planned.

I have a bunch of research to do on this newest condition so that I can make the best decisions possible to keep this old goat around to drive me crazy. Whoops, must have already done that!!

I have to go out for a bit and drop off a baby gift I got for my cousin who lives in WV and my aunt is going down tomorrow and she will drop it off for me.

Thanks for all the expressions of sympathy. Unfortunately it is not just a 'man' thing with my husband, it is a syndrome, maleness with a dash of just plain buttheadness thrown in. I fear that the iron skillet would bend before his head would.

I have spent the majority of my life caring and feeding him and much as a person might miss a boil that they had had for decades I would not want anything to happen to him on my watch.

After all he would do the same for me. Have I ever mentioned the time he told the doctor that he had no intentions of taking care of me after surgery cause he earned far too much money and did not do housework? How about the time he forgot to pick me up from the hospital after I nearly died losing our baby? Yep, I owe him and lucky for him I do not intend on collecting. Morals make life difficult.

I am going to take a shower and collapse. I will deal with this, and probably more tomorrow. Sleep helps almost any old thing, if you get enough. See you in two weeks!

I wish I had a season pass so I could come and go when I wanted to. On the 10th, I already have dinner scheduled at HDDR. And on the 12th I'm at DHS. I already made my plans before I found this thread again. I don't need my husband bothering me about making plans and changing my mind again. He seems to find that amusing at my expense. I guess he just doesn't get the whole trip planning obsession.

I'm eating breakfast on the 10th at Cape May Cafe. Want to join us? We decided to upgrade to the DxDDP so I have lots of credits.


SlightlyGoofy, after hearing that I think I'll complain about my DH less. He really annoyed me this week, but not as badly as your incidents. I hope he knows how lucky he is to have a wife to take care of him.


Definitely bedtime for me also. Between a long recovery from the flu and having a Den Meeting tonight, I'm wiped out. Those little cub scouts can really keep you on your toes.

Bonz, I love Schoolhouse Rocks; I'm just a bill yes I'm only a bill and I'm sitting her on capital hill. We have that on DVD and to my son's horror I have been singing the one about the bill every morning to him because he is taking the dreaded 7th grade constitution class this semester. Then there is the Math one and Science School House Rock DVD's. Does anyone else remember those from the Saturday morning cartoons?

OK, on to the planning. Timmy and Wic are my cohorts in crime for this shindig. We really need to 3 way at some point y'all. I have the "games" all picked out. All age groups and abilities will be able to participate. No telling big details on the boards, it keeps it more fun that way. I am working on a special thing but might not be able to pull that off till the day of.

Here is what I have so far in this order of events. What I need input on is in parenthesis.

That should give the 5:05 Chef Mickey diners more then enuf time to eat, get to MK-walk, faster that way unless you are driving to the CONTEMP then you will have to go back to the TTC and park and get back over.---, get thru security and the ticket turnstiles, and over to Adventureland.--- Sound good for everyone?)
OH! We need a specific meeting place for POTC.??? Somewhere big enuf and out of the crowd flow. Since not all of us know the others to see them it has to be VERY specific, for exp--on the 5th step down on the left side next to the ....kinda thing.

*take group pic on POTC, ask a CM, all wearing something the same (anyone want to make/get something? I can if no one else wants to. Something small, cheap but noticable in a pic like a special hat or pin--I have ideas if you need them-remember, you may have to make between 10-25 depending on participants)

*game #1 ...... Ongoing for the whole time of the "party" All I will say on the boards is that it involves mardi gras beads, already have LOTS of them and more then I need. Fun, fun. A typical shower type game modified for the MK. (I need words to use, Timmy and Wic, need you on this)

*game #2......... Scavenger Hunt Short one, nothing major, no cost involved just some creative juices and some interaction. I will be making collecting bags for this (we need a place to meet for this--somewhere out of the way and quiet and big enuf to accomodate a large group to show off what they have to the judges, with a few seating places, preferably under cover. Maybe somewhere in Toontown over by the teardrop. ???? OH< we will need a prize(s) for this 1st, 2nd, 3rd???)

AH....but you forget. EMH nite that eve. Unless they decide to change it but with the parties that week I doubt it. So we have till Midnite to have fun. Regardless we will still have that extra 1/2 -1 hour after close to "GET OUT"
