Okay everyone, boring question here, but I need some help. DH is a major penny pincher, and I am trying to convince him to go with a Moderate for our trip in Feb 05, we stayed at ASSP Feb 03. I am contemplating booking this trip with Dreams Unlimited, but am concerned about the cost of a Moderate. Can anyone tell me how low they have seen a Moderate go in terms of price and at what time frame? I think our trip will be during off peak. I believe if I choose a Moderate and it does not reduce in price enough for DH they will charge a fee if I change it to a value resort. Any help is appreciated!!

Call Disney and ask. If you get a nice CM they'll help you find a good deal. We have the CSR for $69 in June. CSR seems to have the most discounted rooms. Probably because it's so large.

That's a good rate.

Is is a discount code, AP, visa ???????????

Worth another trip if I can get that price :earsgirl:

I've gotten CSR for between $74 - $84 in April/May and November and just got it again for this June/July. Check mousesavers

The $69 is the Florida Resident Rate Disney Visa card holder rate! WHEW! That was a mouthful! We ended up getting the regular Fl Resident Rate of $74 because for our dates the DV card holder rate was already booked up.

The non resident Disney Visa Card holder rate is $89.

Both of those are with codes that can be found at www.mousesavers.com.

$89 seems to be the going rate for mods for us non-resident, non-AP holders. That's what I got POFQ for in a few weeks.

There's no fee to switch hotels unless you book a package. If you were planning to book a package, you should be able to save enough by switching to room only to take care of the difference between value and mod. Our lowest mod price was $84.

I would think that unless you are traveling during President's weekend you should be able to get a discount. DU will book a room now then try to secure any code once it is released. We have done this for January. We made sure that we specified to our agent which resorts we are interested in and what types of room. We basically gave her a list of 8 different resort/room type choices. I figure that if a code is released atleast one or more of our choices would be available. There is no fee to use DU even for cancelations and changes as long as any cancelation is done more than 5 days in advance. DU goes by disney's policy.

As usual, ya'll are awesome. Thanks for the info. This is what I needed. I really like to book a package and not deal with everything myself, I get too busy and off track. The info about DU helped ease my worries. I will now get busy!! Thanks again!!!:)
