can anybody help with a couple of questions that we have, firstly having not been to wdw at halloween time before does the 3pm parade have a Halloween theme? Secondly, can you buy MMSSHP tickets whilst we are there for another night, the extra price to do this seems a tad expensive, is it worth it?

No the 3pm parade doesn't have a halloween theme. The Halloween parade is only during MNSSHP and is very good.

Yes you can buy tickets there as long as they are not sold out.

We have always enjoyed the party.

You get a small discount if you buy in advance for some dates, not for the popular dates though. https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/p...-events/mickeys-not-so-scary-halloween-party/

Is it worth it? For us 100% yes, done about 5 or 6 at WDW and a couple in Disneyland CA, they are great evenings.

Are they expensive? to me no, you can enter MK from 4pm thru til midnight which is 8 hours, not much less than a day ticket(on party days) which costs about $30 more. Plus you get a lot more for you money on the party evenings. Try plan one of the quieter nights and you do far more than you would with a day ticket.

One thing to remember is some things close after 7pm, unless they have changed it Jungle Cruise is not open on party nights so plan in advance and do those things between 4-7pm.

I'm with Wayne on this one - I don't think it's expensive; you get great value for your money. Regarding the pre purchase discounts, you don't have to buy them online in advance to get the reduced rate. We booked 2 parties for last year online and decided to do a third while there. We booked at our resort front desk the day before the party we wanted and still got the pre purchase discount. Check this year's terms and conditions, but it's always been that as long as you buy your tickets any time before the day of the party, you qualify for the discount.

I love the MNSSHP, I have been to two now, in 2011 and 2012. It is worth it. In fact if I wasnt going to MK I would buy one of these tickets if I was going at the right time, as Wayne said, it is better value as there are less people if you dont pick around Halloween itself and can go in the park from 4.

You also get loads of sweets which you will find almost impossible to eat before going home:rotfl2:

A big plus for my family is that you can dress up which we love to do and it makes it more fun:thumbsup2

I'll just confirm what other posters have said

The 3pm parade is the regular parade, no halloween theme.

you might be able to purchase tickets once you're there, as long as the party is not sold out (they're more likely to be sold out for a friday night, and closer to halloween) but last year I think the last party to sell out was sold out 2 days before. (need confirmation though as it's on top of my head)

the parties are 150% worth it and worth the extra expense.
Actually we do 2 or 3 parties during our stays

Definitely worth it. Book your tickets online, plan costumes and throw yourself into it!

I would LOVE to do it again.:goodvibes

I also want to say that I dot think the party is not expensive, I think it seems it as we normally already have park tickets! But if you was a family that was travelling for just the party or lives nr buy then your getting a pretty good deal for what you get!
We have done 2 party's now, when we 1st used to go to Disney as a family we would see all these people going dressed up and would think why are they paying for just a few hours!
( didn't realise you can go from 4 at that point) after going for 2 trips our boys begged to go as we LOVE Halloween we decided to take the plunge!
Now I'd never go over Halloween months and not do a party I'd be gutted,
The parades are out of this world from the music to the costumes! Not to forget the headless horseman, and grave diggers!

We have brought back so much candy we had to give half to the maid and buy a new case just for the sweets! ( no joke) our boys at the end of the night would run back through the lines to get as much as get could and we filled 5 big Disney carrier bags! Plus a ruck sack. And NOPE they don't mind one bit they encouraged it,
We still have sweets left from last yr, the boys used Ali of it to make up goofy bags for their friends presents,
Plus it's good names stuff too, like skittles riddles, werthers original candy apple flavour " they was amazing"

We can't wait to go again this year, and I will be gutted the boys picked may for our next trip lol

Thanks for the replies, we were just wondering if we pre-booked our tickets through Disney would they be sent to us or will it just be an e-mail that we would take to guest services etc???

Also what happens if we were already in MK the same day as MNSSHP would we have to leave the park and then re-enter after 4pm using our MNSSHP ticket?:confused3

Thanks again in advance:thumbsup2

when you buy online (prebook) you have the following choices :

- international express mail : your tickets will be shipped through FeDex, with an additional fee of $25
- will call : you will need to print a certifcate to redeem in Disneyworld (guest service at DTD, concierge at disney hotel, or will call at TTC/park gates (you'll need to provide ID and credit card used for purchase)
- print at home : you will be able to print your tickets at home on regular paper.

the last 2 options are free of charge.

no, there will be at least 2 places inside the park (usually adventureland and tomorrowland) where you will be able to get your wristbands for the party. No need to get out of the park, just ask a Cast Member around 4pm, you'll notice them easily they have a special party outfit, you can't miss them.

I wouldn't opt to print tickets at home because the ones they issue make great souvenirs. We collect ours at our resort front desk so you don't have to go anywhere special to pick them up and it saves you paying for postage or worrying about leaving them behind. Just print out your confirmation of purchase and take it with you to get them

MNSSHP is definitely worth doing, I enjoyed seeing people's costumes, the parade is fab and watching HalloWishes :goodvibes We didn't do too many rides as my way of thinking was that we can do the rides any time during our hols, lets focus more on the other things you can only see / do at a party night (meeting the seven dwarves was a must for me!).

I would book ahead if you plan to go closer to Halloween, our party night last year had sold out - 21st October. Take a strong bag with you for all the goodies! we filled four bags without even trying and as another poster has said we used bags from Goofys to fill them with sweets for all the kids when we arrived home :)

Definitely worth it. We went last year for the first time and will go again when we next go to WDW during the Halloween season.

Thanks guys and girls for all the advice/info, it looks like we are going to do MNSSHP , there are 7 parties whilst we're there, so I'm going to keep an eye on the website for availability and if it looks like they're starting to sell out I'll get them in advance.

Another question though if we wanted to go just for MNSSHP and enter the park at 4pm would that use a day of our Premium ticket??:confused3

No you can enter at 4pm on a party ticket only - no need to use another ticket aswell.

If you haven't already bought your disney tickets have a look at the american Magic your way tickets instead of the UK options.

We are using a 10 day MYW ticket and a MNSSHP ticket this year - costs less than a 14 day ultimate uk ticket.

this is a separate ticket

so, it depends what you do that day.

If you have a 7 day premium, IF you go to another park that day (or even MK) before 4pm, then you'll use one day on your ticket.

If you don't go to any park that day, come to MK at 4pm and use your party ticket (do not put your premium ticket or key to the world in the turnstiles, only your party ticket) then you don't use a day on your premium tickets

if you have 14 days or 21 days it's irrelevant, since those expire at 14 or 21 days not depending how many times they've been used.

A 14 days unlimited (which is only a wee bit more expensive than a 7 days premium) would allow you to enter a park in the morning at no extra cost, whereas the 7 day premium would use one day for just a few hours

alternately on a 7 days premium you could use a waterpark or disneyquest entitlement in the morning which wouldn't use a "day" as they are minor parks.

If you don't have your disney tickets yet, have a look at the 14 days ultimate rather than the 7 days premium, 14 days are only £7pp more than the 7 days premium ... that would solve your issue

ETA : Dixonsontour's solution (MYW US tickets) works if you don't care about waterparks or hopper. If you wish to have those options, then go for the 14 days UK, if you don't need them, go for the US 10 days

Thanks again for your help, we were thinking of just doing MNSSHP one night so it looks as if we could do that and not use 1 of our 7 precious Disney days:cheer2:

Did you buy tickets only or do you have a package? The 14 day ultimates are currently the same price as the 5 and 7 day premium tickets so if you have a package, or are able to, why don't you just upgrade so that it makes no difference if you use extra days or not? :goodvibes
