MNSSHP - Storming Oct. 4th

Is anyone else planning on attending the party tonight, its suppose to storm tonight with thunder/lightning/rain. I've read in some instances WDW will comp you tickets for another party night or an entrance ticket to a WDW park. We have 3 small children with us, 2 with colds so we are debating on even heading out there.

I don't think they do that - Unfortunately if they cancel because of bad weather, I think you might be out of luck. Hopefully someone will be along shortly who can say for sure.

I think you have to be in the park in the down pour and get new tickets before you leave. That's what I have seen others do.

Or you could call to see if you could switch for a different night.

The party itself won't cancel. Certain events during it may be cancelled or delayed, and characters moved, but that's about it.

I think you have to be in the park in the down pour and get new tickets before you leave. That's what I have seen others do.

There's no harm in trying this--it's not unheard of for Disney to do this. You may have more luck though going to a Guest Relations in person.

We are currently sitting in the Tomorrowland Terrace riding out the storm. Hoping it slows down soon so we can salvage what we can of the party. It is still a monsoon out there with lots of thunder, lightening and wind. Rain we can deal with, but I'm not taking the kids (6 and 12 weeks) out in the lightning.

Hang in there. One of the payoffs for waiting out a rainy party night can be one of the few low crowd nights to be found at a Disney party.

If you're looking for characters you can't find, ask around as they will move them indoors when it's raining.

There's now a flood warning for the theme parks areas ... and it just keeps pouring. I think it's getting worse and not better, at least in the immediate future

We were there 9/21. It rained most of the night. They cancelled the first parade. The party isn't as much fun when it rains. I hope the weather will improve soon.

DH just ran to grab us ponchos, I.an under the people mover in front of buzz, this is crazy, and by the looks of the radar, won't be getting better any time soon... I think im going to ask guest relations when he gets back with the ponchos tomorrow is our last night! Boooo.... Where is guest relations on main st???

Cosmic rays too! I believe they might pass out candy in here in a bit. Overheard a cast member. Raining like crazy! One cool thing we saw tonight is updating to the pirates queue.

The rain is getting lighter. I hope that's a good sign.

In case anyone is interested, guest relations is giving refunds tonight at city hall, must have the credit card and arm band with you to do so

Saw someone at AoA having their tickets for tonight transferred for another night.
