MNSSHP Oct 31 questions

Hi. I would like to know if they let in more people on Oct 31 compared to the other dates. I saw that a lot of the dates this year sold out and i'm wondering if it is the same amount of people in the park on Halloween or not.

Would you recommend going on Halloween? That would be our last day next year and we would have a 4 year old and a 1 year old. I would like her to get to go trick or treating.

Most of the resorts have Halloween events and Trick or Treating. Check Kennythepirate.com a few weeks before your trip because he posts all the resort info. That may fit better in your plans especially with little ones.

wonderful!!! i called AoA and they said their Big Blue Bash does not include trick or treating. Then i called Polynesian and they said we are welcome to come to their activities from our resort.

Can someone please tell me if Poly had trick or treating or the GF? It just says 'bash' from 4-7pm.

As far as I know Halloween Night is no different people-wise than any other sold-out party. It is easily the most likely to sell-out and it is crowded, though I found it quite manageable last year. With more and more of them selling out there's no really reason to avoid the October 31st party over the others.

I was there halloween this year and it was extremely busy in certain areas like main street, but lines were fine unless you wanted pics with the 7 dwarves or jack and sally. I didn't really do much rides except for people mover since i lucked out on soiree.

I was at MNSSHP this Halloween and it was packed. I felt this party was completely over rated. There is no time to get everything done. The kids wanted to trick or treat which left no time for rides. Wait for HM was 25 minutes which we did. Lines for a pumpkin waffle sundae at Sleepy Hollow was 20 plus minutes. Did not end up getting one for fear of getting stuck by the parade. Castle show was same as any other night. Fireworks were cool though. Did not get to visit one character again due to long lines. Basically everything except rides had a 20 minute plus wait. We only got three photos due to those lines being long. In a nut shell, I feel like I spent $300 to trick or treat, see a parade and fireworks. I am sure there is a better way to enjoy this party, but with two little ones myself, no way would we do this again on a sold out night.

Did you start during the 4 to 7pm window? I only ask because I had no issues getting characters or photopass when the party started though it did get busier as it went on. I agree though sold out party to me was just too many people, but only because i felt crowded in by them all.

Their party included several game stations with little prizes - bubbles, slinky, water bottle, etc and limited trick or treating, there were 1/2 dozen trick or treat spots. We ended up in the pool at the end of the night and a CM came around giving out fistfuls of candy. There was also characters for photo opportunities - Donald and Mickey on a rotating schedule.

At Fort Wilderness campers give out candy for trick or treating, that seems to be the biggest opportunity to trick or treat on property. It was our original plan to go there, but my kids just wanted to stay at our resort. They had a blast.

We went to Ft Wilderness for Halloween this year and it was great! We did Mickey's Backyard BBQ, which I was nervous about because of some so-so reviews but we loved it! The kids had a great time dancing and the character interaction was wonderful! We then went around a couple loops trick or treating and got a ton of candy. The campers decorations were super cool too!

We were there on the 30th (which was also sold out) and I didn't think it was as busy as I envisioned. We did get there at 4 and had a fast pass for HM, and managed to go on BTMR, and a few others before the party. We also wandered near Jack and Sally at around 6 and they were already meeting and waited maybe 15-20 minutes. We saw the first parade from frontier land and the fireworks from Main Street and even did the Monsters Inc dance party. We also managed to get LOTS of trick or treating in between! Left with bags full! I would do it again on that day and wouldn't hesitate to go on Halloween!

We were there for the party on Halloween and it was very crowded. Especially in front of the castle during Hallowishes. it took a pretty long time to get over the bridge to tomorrowland. but once we got there we walked on everything. we got in early and did pictures on main street then pirates then haunted mansion. we never had longer than a 5 minute wait. we stayed til midnight and i always do the haunted mansion as my last ride on Halloween. it seemed that alot of people left after hallowishes as they stayed for the first parade. next year halloween will be on a saturday so i am sure it will sell out again and be crowded but we really dont mind that. its my favorite holiday and i love seeing everyone in their costumes.
