Mnsshp 2006-tips Only

I hope they let us in at 4pm! :) I'm going by what everyone else said in the past and I have ADRS at LTT for 4:15pm too. I doubt there will be a problem, but I'm waiting to hear from the Sept. 15 bunch to see how everything goes this year. :thumbsup2

I don't think I've read anywhere about how Disney plans to "decorate" for MNSSHP this year since the partygoers won't be held in one land prior to the start of the party this year.

I know Disney is usually rather picky about not ruining the magic by decorating in front of guests...how does the new party procedures change this?! :confused3

As for ticketholders being let in to MK starting at 4pm like past years....I wouldn't bank on it because they have changed most other MNSSHP procedures since last year. I'd be a little nervous this year trying to get in to MK prior to 7pm without a park hopper ticket, IMHO.

I would be shocked if they didnt let people in like they have in the past. Afterall there are already going to be many people in the park who are also attending the MNSHHP for the evening, so however they are decorating they still have to deal with the crowds somehow.

I was told no entry till 7pm, Day guests leave at 7pm ............. emmm how do they decorate the parks then ???/

have to wait till the 15th I guess.

Hi, we were there last year & we had dinner at the Liberty Tree Tavern, when we got out for dinner they were getting ready for the 8:00pm parade it was raining so it was delayed until around 9:00pm the headless horseman was not allowed to ride down main street in the rain so we missed that, I was disapointed. But the worst was we were blocked off by ropes after the parade so we were not able to get to the front of the castle to view the fireworks, We were able to see them from behind the castle, but the villans put on a show & the witch flies out of the castle where tinkerbell usually does & there is a stage show in the front of the castle. So if you want to see the whole show make sure your in the front of the castle before the show begins, we were able to listen to she villians but we could not see anything.... Just a little advice

I added my mnsshp tix after I did all my adr's. We have adrs at cape may at 5pm (right when it opens for dinner). The cm thought we had time to eat (buffet) and make it to the party by 7pm entry. Anyone have any thoughts? Not sure if I should try and change my Adr if that is even possible or what.

We are not doing our usual formal costumes. My kiddos are not used to humidity so I think it would make them very miserable. I think they'll both go as pirates as we have lots of pirate stuff.

I really like the dalmation in shorts idea. I think I could whip that up easily. Dh probably won't dress up but maybe I can make him a Tourist.

This is our first year and I won't be able to get on to hear the tips after the 9/15 party. So keep the tips coming.

Actually it was Tink last year with the introduction of the new Hallowishes fireworks. It is no longer the witch. :(

Do most people wear "Disney" themed costumes? I just found out that I am going ---NEXT WEEK! and I don't think that I can get a costume that quick. My husband and I have a medieval king and queen, but nothing DISNEY. ---My 3DD have Disney princess costumes though! princess:

Lots do, but lots (like us) don't. It's all up to you what you want to wear; don't worry, you won't be "looked down on" for not wearing a Disney costume!

As of this year "ruining the magic" has taken a backseat to maximizing profits by extending closing to 7PM. Truly sad :sad2: :sad2:

Joe - Thanks for the info. I also read above that someone has received their tickets and it said 4 pm. I should be receiving my tickets very soon. I've already received all my other documents.

It would be nice to be in by 4pm, but 7 pm would work too.

Just some comments.

My tickets say 4:00 - 12:00. And this is how it has been the last 3 years I have gone.

The headless horseman rides at both parades weather permitting.

Disney is allowing day guests to say until 7. They justified this by saying since they have "perfected" this during EMHs, they feel they can now successfully do it at parties. So they don't need the extra hour to get them to leave. I think this is a big mistake. But we will see.

Finally Disney has released no info on pins this year. Rumor is, there will be none (they seem to be phasing out pins)

Have fun!!!

Wow, your tickets actually say "4:00p to Midnight"? I'm shocked. Mine say 7:00p to Midnight.

It's been unofficial since 2001 that they let us in after 4:00p with just the party ticket. The official that called me and left a message on my machine about the new procedure said that we'd still be able to start entering the park after 4:00p wtih just our tickets.

Does the headless horseman ride before BOTH parades? We are planning on going to the later one.

Yes, he does. He only doesn't ride in bad weather.

Just to clarify: No one will give us any stange looks that we are trick or treating at MNSSHP even though all three in our party (DH, DD-19 y.o., and myself) are adults?

I LOVE candy!!!!! :cool1:

We went to the first MNSSHP last year and there was a doom buggy outside of the Haunted Mansion that they were taking pictures in, they made us get in then we had to act like there was a ghost to the right....so in the picture we are both staring off to the right looking like we see something really scary. It was great and it was put on our PhotoPass so we could order a copy when we got home.

Didn't anyone else see this last year?

i didn't see it and we went on hm repeatedly. of course, it was very dark :3dglasses maybe we missed it. :confused3

i did see cinderella's coach though. :thumbsup2
