Hey, Is anyone else having issues getting a 4th fast pass today and what’s with the wait times? MDE is showing 85 mins for jungle cruise??!! No fast passes for any ride all day, even Small World at 10 pm

I thought all tickets are now plastic with the chip and work just like the magicband, so why wouldn’t those people be able to tap in?

Oh wow.

I got off a bus at MK today at 12:30 and transferred to a monorail and didn't notice anything askew outside the gates.

Either I'm REALLY unobservant or it was cleared up by then.

As someone with a MB, this would have been awesome!!
In theory it would be great for lower crowds once you got in the gates. But I imagine the hundreds of upset people who were unable to pass through the tapstyles contributed to a very chaotic situation.

Once you were able to navigate through that mess and realize you were still able to get in, then you'd be golden but I'd suspect you'd be significantly delayed.

While yes they are interchangeable, the RFID ticket info must be housed in a different data base than the MB ticket info. Because when they tried to use the RFID tickets, nothing showed up. The scanners couldn't read that particular data base. To really simplify it

I feel so bad for those families who had a single day at MK and wasted hours of it waiting to get in!
Those are the ones who should be speaking to CS for guest recovery options

But it for sure answered any questions about a $15 MB being worth it, or not. Next time someone asks, should they get one, I'll say yes. In advance, when you buy your tickets, spend the extra, even though this probably never happens again. Just the chance it can is enough

Not sure where the stories started that it didn’t affect magic bands. We have magic bands with tickets attached and couldn’t get in and were stuck in the guest services line and most people around me in line also had magic bands. The worst part was that there was no communication, someone from
guest services just went down the line to make sure we were in the right line, no apologizing, they were acting like it was normal to have a two hour wait to see guest services to get into the magic kingdom. We had a 9am keys to the kingdom tour, and the guides (who work in guest relations) said there was nothing they could do and they would catch us up when we could join the tour. We overheard someone say their magic band worked and so we got out of line and tried ours again at the gate and saw the green light finally, after about 45 minutes in line at guest services with no announcement or information. After all this at the beginning of the tour we had to hear the spiel about the Disney values of efficiency and courtesy! It was awful but i really feel terrible for the families with small children or those who saved for so long for this one special time at Disney. It was a disaster.

But if there's a chance it happened this way, isn't there also then a chance that it happens the other way? That access to the MB database is down, but people with cards would be able to get in?
