MK closing at 4:30pm 5/15?

Ugh I have a space 220 res on that day but I’d love to switch. We went to MK on a cast member day before and it was awesome

Didn't you wonder why there were zero ADRs after 230 across all of MK? That should given you at least a clue to check the very publicly posted park hours. Now that the park reservation system is in place it should make you double check park times for planning. Disney constantly changes park times, while normally that benefits people it doesn't always. I'm sure if you call and tell a cm your food allergy issues they will try to help you. We are after all only talking about 4.5 hours one single day.

We schedule lunches in the park, so no, I never searched for anything past the 11-12 window we eat in. (we don't need to get deep into the food issue, but no most CMs at QS can't help us at all with food)

It is exactly BECAUSE the reservation system is in place, when they make us schedule park days months in advance, they can notify people scheduled to be there when they make a major change to hours. It is inexcusable that they don't notify people who already scheduled the day because it's a major change. The park is open until 10 all the days around it. I had no reason to expect they would change hours by that much and it was complete luck that I still know at all. Whether the park closes at 9 or 10 isn't a big deal, and that I usually look into the week we go. This is nor a normal closing time.

Not sure what to say as this was announced weeks ago.

But what does "announced" mean? I'm scheduled to be there, have tickets for that day and have gotten no notification. There isn't a pop up on the site, so "if you are paranoid enough to keep checking whether they planned a party on a random date you completely wouldn't expect" equals announcing... I guess?
