We will be staying at the Swan the week of Thanksgiving. Going to MK on Tuesday and also the Party that night as well. Due to doing both and traveling with a teenager and husband that would prefer to go later than do EE and take a mid-day break, we may not plan on getting to MK until around 10:00 or 10:30, which I realize may horrify some.

I am thinking to be able to full take advantage of a little extra rest that am, it might be good to utilize the Minnie Van to have a shorter travel time to MK. Looking to confirm my understanding that we would be able to book the Minnie Van for pickup at Swan and drop off at the MK entrance and NOT TTC? Any idea of the cost of this? And also being lazy at the moment, how does one reserve the Minnie van?

My understanding is that regular Ubers will drop off only at TTC?

Minnie Vans are booked through the Lyft app. The vans will drop you off near the bus depot at MK, not TTC. Not knowing for certain, but you're probably looking at least $50, maybe more. The upcharge for a Minnie Van is not small! But it's the only way to do what you're trying to do - drop-off at the entrance. Plus it could be fun. I'd expect lower demand mid-morning. BTW - your plan to get there mid-morning sounds good to us!!

Since the Minnie Van is a Disney operated service, it will drop you off to the front entrance of MK.

Yeah, I think a splurge for this would be nice. And fun to be dropped off in style! :)

Minnie vans are booked thru the Lyft app & go to the resort bus stop at MK. We took one a few months ago from BWV and it was one of the first bus stop spots closest to the park. It was $42 and got us there for rope drop. We only use it to/from MK because it makes the trip SO easy and convenient. I'm sure it can get north of $50 as the pp mentioned. I also think there are some times that they are in short supply.....think MK after a party. So be aware even if you are willing to pay up after a party they might be tough to get if you leave when everyone else does.

Yes, I am still trying to figure out what to do after the party (yikes) - seems like horror stories I find about trying to get on buses. Any clue how far in advance you can book rides? It may be worth it to do both ways if we can find an available one coming back.

Minnievans are booked on demand. I would take the monorail to the TTC and book an uber to pick up there. It might be less of a mess than the bus.

Sounds like a plan. That would give us an opportunity to ride the monorail too. Although at midnight I'm not sure how excited we'll be. Thanks for the help!

After the party: another option is to walk to the Contemporary and request an Uber/Lyft from there.

I took a Minnie Van from Swan to MK last month. It picked me up at 8:28 am on a day when Early Entry was 8:30. (I like to get to the parks early, but not first in line for rope drop early.) The cost was $39.42. I added a tip to that.

Not sure why the emoji appeared automatically for the word p-a-r-t-y.

As for exiting try for a MV about 20 mins before you want to leave, they are in high demand so you may or may not be able to get one and if you can get one it is the fastest way back to Swan. If you can't get one or want to save some money walk/monorail over to Contemporary and call a normal rideshare from there. I prefer the relative quiet of CR to dealing with TTC. You could also take the BW bus back and just walk to Swan.

My MV from dolphin to mk a few weeks ago was $43. Unlike normal rideshares MVs are priced on distance, there is no surge pricing.

About how long did the drive from Swan take?

You can also walk to the Yacht Club or Boardwalk to get a bus that will take you exactly where the Minnie Van will drop you off at MK if you don't feel like spending the money. If demand for a MV is high after the party (or you don't feel like taking a monorail or walking to CR to get an uber), we like to jump on the first bus that comes along (Yacht/Beach or Boardwalk) and simply walk back to our resort if we are staying at Swan or Dolphin.
