Jen & Joan4Mickey Isn't POP right near Corando, cause that's where I'm staying and I can seat up to 7 and would not mind at all swinging by and getting you guys and saving the fare if no one else from POP is driving. Like Jen said we will wait and see what happens, but I just wanted to throw that out there.

Have we started planning any meets yet? Everyone want to do EOS on Sat like in past years or try something different?

My mom's planning to take the day off on Fri so looks like we'll be able to come Fri afternoon for a change!

I forgot to give an update - I'm booked at POFQ. I'm not sure how I'll get to the race just yet. I'm hoping to rent a car for the weekend but the Alamo rates aren't that great in May. Otherwise I'll just cab it

Mel, I wouldn't mind wearing my shirt for the 5K so if I can meet you sometime Friday afternoon that would be great. EoS on Saturday sounds like a plan to me!

Yay!!! I'm at POFQ too!!!! we'll be there from 4/27 until 5/5. I'm going with my parents and although they have a car i don't think they're going to want to come at 4 or 5am (maybe just arrive for the end instead!) so was considering getting a cab too. Let me know if you want to share

Hey all I have been training lots so I can do well on this course. We are renting a car that weekend due to staying at SOG and the transportation issue to the expo.
As far a meets go I think EOS has worked well in the past but I am worried that they will not have enough seating for a larger group. We have a lot more people going down this year and it might behoove us to also look into alternate locations for meets. But that is just my two cents.

My flight doesn't land on Saturday until 6:30PM, so EoS is out for me, but I could definitely be talked into JR on Sunday night!!

Erin, I was having the same thoughts. Of course, not everyone will come to the meet..but what a great dilemma! Last year, we did overflow the seating area, but that was because we mostly didn't sit! Who has the group picture from then?

That sounds like a great idea to me!! I was a little hesitant about taking a cab by myself since I don't want to drag my fiance with me so early in the morning.

Carrie, Judy had to help me with one name! and, no, I don't think there was much sitting the first hour at POP. We do tend to mingle..which is a good thing! I like having a different place than where we meet for Marathon Weekend, though. Somebody want to come up with another suggestion for a place that could hold a crowd?
