Thanks Robert. I'm not too concerned about myself, but family that is doing it with me. My dad really wants to do it. He is 72, has a bad knee, but is trying to walk 3 days a week and increase his pace. He keeps about 16 min pace for 2 miles right now... I'm going to wait a bit longer before I sign us all up, but I guess we'll just see. My thinking is we all do it together so I really don't want any of us to get swept, but I don't want him to have to drop out and us keep going without him either...
I noticed there seemed to be quite a few finishing later in January, but I didn't know if they swept it or not... Didn't the last person finish in like 1hr 20 minutes??? or did I toally make that up?![]()
Thanks again!
Stacie
Stacie,
I know the "clock" time was something around an 1:00. I do believe there were a fair sized group behind us and their time might be something around that. If you family can do 16 min pace for 2 miles, they should be fine. They ones that start out at 20 min + pace and slow are the ones swept.
