Nice start to the day; it didn't look too crowded in Fantasyland.
Your second last picture made me think of AK when the EE construction was going on, except this construction was quite as tall.
Fantasyland is not bad for the first hour. We are usually leaving as the crowd begins to come in.
I look forward to taking thousands of new photos with the opening of the new Fantasyland stuff!
I love the picture with Chip and Dale with the castle behind them. A very creative shot. Also the picture with the family walking towards Pinnochio is adorable. The little girl is grinning ear to ear and it is just precious. You can really see the excitement in her face.
Since I have taken so many of the same pictures again and again, I am always on the lookout for different angles or different pictures to take.
I hope Bella will be excited about meeting characters in December.
I can't believe I haven't been on here since Monday morning! What a crazy week! Anyway, I am so glad your observation went well, MeMom -- it sounds like a great lesson.
Reelmom, so glad Matilda is doing better -- poor puppy -- I don't blame her for not going near that side of the yard. Our dogs are part of our family, too, so I can completely understand your anguish!
MeMom, love mornings full of Pop breakfasts and MK fun! Not to mention, I loved all the Trunk or Treat pics!
So glad you could check in. The weekdays are pretty crazy, aren't they? I am so happy that this is the first weekend since school has started (when we got all of the new teacher evaluation information, etc.) that I have bee stress-free, and it has felt so good!

I watched a movie and did household chores yesterday, and I did not do any school work.
MeMom! What a great idea that Trunk or Treat! So fun!! And I spied those sprinkles when we were at WOD, and I ALMOST bought some!!!! I should have!!! I need to get me some more for Christmas! I am almost out!! BUT not out enough that I won't use them... I have been known to do that...
I am slowly reading along, you know!!! Honestly, I don't know where the month of October went!!!!
Mickey sprinkles are a fun souvenir to bring back for ourselves and for little kids. I usually get 2-3 bottles of them - 1 for here at my house and 2 to have in case I want to give someone else a Disney smile at some point.
October was short in some ways and long in others. I think November is going to speed by. We have only 12 school days left until Thanksgiving break, so that makes it very nice!
Great idea to have breakfast at rope drop! Love the almost-empty park pics.
Who were all those people in yellow shirts?
I have to comment on the paci. Katie had hers until she was almost 3 and would not let go until we mailed it to Mickey Mouse. Then she was done! Like magic!
Tour groups come out in huge numbers in the summer, so you will see large groups of colored shirts following leaders who carry small flags.
One of Drew's friends said he and his twin brother left their pacis with Mickey, too, when they were about three.
As for breakfast at rope drop, it makes the waiting easier on the girls. By the time they finish their Mickey waffle, the wait is not so long.
Memom- I am glad that your scores allowed you to celebrate with ice cream--I'm sure they were still too low...
Thanks for the walk into MK! I am very excited for the new Fantasyland, but the old one is quite magical. I wonder if the CMs welcoming everyone each morning get chills...I know I would. (Heck, I might get all teary eyed too...)
I always love seeing pics of Pop - I think they have an awesome gift shop. I am excited to check it out in person.
Reelmom- poor Matilda. I hope she recovers quickly.
The tougher school gets, the more appealing a Disney cast member job sounds. I can wave with the best of them!
Yes, Everything Pop is a good gift shop. It has clothes, art supplies, jewelry, pins, kitchen items, candy, purses, toys, and items you may have forgotten or unexpectedly need. It opens early, too, so for me, that is nice. After a morning walk, I usually end up in the gift shop for some picture-taking beofre it gets full of people.
MweMom I am so happy your evaluation went well. I know that is a big weight off you. Enjoy a relaxing weekend!
Reelmom- I hope matilda feels better soon. poor puppy!
It is like I have taken a very heavy backpack off. It's funny how mental things like that really do feel like they weigh on you physically, as well. Yesterday was so nice, because I wasn't carrying around what I still needed to get done in the back of my mind all day. I did normal chores and then thought about nothing related to school.
Congrats on your evaluation!
Aw, I love all the Magic Kingdom pictures. Why can't I be there right now? Life's just not fair.

Bella is seriously precious! She always looks so happy.
I wonder where you went next?
When you need a Disney fix,
youtube will do the job. You can see every park, parades, fireworks, etc.
Hopefully, I can put up a few more pictures today - maybe even this morning when I finish responses, if my eyes aren't crossing.
