Mingos in the Watah! What in the Wuhld?

Fab party pictures. Looks like a good time was had by all. Loving your HS photo's. We always have a struggle finding a table at starring rolls, but i'm sure that the floors at Disney are clean enough to sit on, so we too just go ahead and camp out to eat our goodies.Hope school is going ok Memom and that the little kiddies are being kind to you.

Great job on the birthday party!!! :goodvibes

Thanks. It was fun. No more little people parties now until April. Next up - all the big people parties, which are quite a bit less involved. ;)

Jill, you really should take a couple of cake decorating classes!! I took some years ago and they are so much fun. Your family would love it, we had to bring a cake every week :goodvibes I know Michaels gives classes here, do you have those in Alabama? I though about taking some more, the big thing now is fondont, which wasn't so big back in the day. Almost makes me want to go bake a cake......... almost ;)

They do have a Michael's where she lives. I think she has sort of halfway checked into them, but I'm not sure of the details.

Yeah, I have seen people on TV do all kinds of cool things with fondant.

great report

Thanks. :)

That is soo good to hear. I'm so happy he's doing well and growing.

Again the party looks like it was soo much fun. I hope my kids' birthday parties are half as cool.

I'm sure you have awesome parties! :cool1:

I saw the birthday pictures on Facebook. Wow! What a great party. I wanted to show the pictures to Danielle but I'm worried she'll ask how come she never had such a great party.:confused3

Enjoyed the pictures from DHS too. I have yet to try Starring Rolls but it's on my list!:thumbsup2 It's been awhile since I've seen the Playhouse Disney characters. Danielle outgrew them all too soon. I'm sure the girls were dancing around.

Have a great week at school!

Throw that girl a fabulous party on one of her special birthdays. :woohoo:

Starring Rolls is worth a stop, although I will say I really like Writer's Stop, too, for a quick snack.

Loved the updates, MeMom!!! :thumbsup2

I love all of the shopping pictures!!! I'm not a pin collector & sadly have never taken much time to look at the pins. But after seeing your pictures, I think I need to check them out this trip!!! I love how they make the different land pins for MK!

I also put the "Living with the Land" pin on my shopping list for September -- but I bet you saw that one coming!!!

I still cannot get over how much Brooklynn and Bella have grown!!! I know alot of people say that you don't see it when its your own children, but I swear, every morning when Luke wakes up I can tell he's grown!

LOVE the pictures from DHS!!! I can't wait to see the changes with the new show since HSM is gone as well as the difference in Playhouse Disney vs. Disney Junior Live. Luke really loves Jake & the Neverland Pirates! He's sleeping right now, but I'll show him the pics from your report in the morning!!! He'll be so excited!

How do you make a tie dye cake? I think you posted the recipe A LOT of pages before this -- but I couldn't find it. Could you PM me & tell me how to make it? (Thank you in advance!!!)

I seriously need to catch up on facebook as well as on DIS! I noticed the pics of Brooklynn's birthday party were posted, but haven't looked through them yet. I'll do that when I'm done DIS-ing!!! :thumbsup2

I hope school is going well for you so far!!! Keep us posted!!!

I fought off looking at pins for a long time, but I really enjoy getting them now.

We just use a regular cake batter and put it in separate bowls to dye with food coloring. Nothing hard at all.

This has been one of the smoothest beginnings as far as with the kids since things started getting crazy a few years back. After last year's group, I would have thought anything was easy, though. ;)

MeMom, I think Ariel's Grotto would be perfect for Bella's next birthday! John is just the dad to build it!:thumbsup2

We'll need gadgets and gizmos a plenty, and who's-its and what's-it galore, and thingamabobs - at least twenty....

Yeah, an Ariel-girl party is sounding more and more fun all the time! :dance3: Now we just have to get Bella to buy into it. :cutie:

-A Tangled party! What fun!
-I'm really wanting that Lotso plush right now :)
-Next time I want to spend more time on the streets of America! I never even knew that there was a ny subway entrance!
-I cannot wait to ride the new Star Tours!
-See Pa Wilder in the background? My mom posed with him on the last trip :)
-I've never been to starring rolls :o Is it worth trying?
-Mmmm that Tiramisu looks Delish!
-Yummy Banana Split!
-I feel like they would ban me from going into the Disney Junior show unless I bring a little one with me! I want to go see it though.....hmmm...time to plot!
-Thanks for the Disney Babies Picture! Again :)
-I Love Jill's Bag! Is it a bagallini?
-The tangled party is too cute! Love the tie dye cake and the lantern!

I love the party pictures. Very cute. I am in the process of planning a water balloon fight birthday party for my son who is turning 9 next month. I would say Brooklynn's party is a lot cuter than ours will be. ;)

I loved the floating latern. Where did you get it?

I ordered it online. I just googled flying chinese lanterns. They were super cheap.

-I Love Jill's Bag! Is it a bagallini?

It is. I love it!

Well, things aren't great, yet. Mom is in a lot of pain, but we are doing better than we were two weeks ago, so that is something.

I also meant to say that I think Bo is looking so thin because he is wasting away for Chelsea! I know I need a Disney trip more than ever these days!

I left all my schoolwork at school -- I am sure it is just waiting to greet me this morning.

We started Running Records testing today. Two weeks of busy work coming up for my kids. :sad2: My student teacher didn't show up today. I sure hope he comes, because I would love to have the help.

Is that short NYE trip still a possibility? Even if you don't do parks or just did one park, the Christmas decorations all over the resorts and DTD, along with the NYE bash at Poly will be a big dose of Disney for not too much money.

It looks like Brooklyn had an awesome 5th birthday! The decorations and the cake were just perfect, you all did a wonderful job!

I also enjoyed the tour through starring roles this morning. All those yummy treats made my breakfast of an english muffin look very plain!

Oh and here is a tip if you are looking for seating at Starring Roles! If you are there for breakfast- before the Brown Derby opens- you can just go around the corner and sit at one of the outdoor tables for the Brown Derby. They are not blocked off, and I have done it tons of times. I just always make sure I wipe down the table before I leave, so I don't make any additional work for the Brown Derby servers (although I'm pretty sure they must wipe down the tables before lunch starts, because you never know what fell on them during the night!)

We've never thought about borrowing the HBD tables and chairs. I've taken several pictures of the empty seats there at rope drop, though. Maybe we'll do that next time.

Great party Jill as usual! The cake, the braid, the tower, the lantern.... she should have been one happy princess!

The wig made me ! I took DD to a huge outlet mall this past weekend and out of everything there, she chose to get a Rapunzel wig too! She has had the best time playing with that thing! Although I must say that it kinda freaked me out every time I glanced in the rear view mirror on our way home and saw a long haired blond girl sitting where my DD should be!

The wig was pretty crazy looking. I didn't think about it, but we should have gotten a picture with Bella wearing it. It would go to her ankles and drag the ground, for sure!

Awesome party!!! Fabulous!!! Jill, I think I want you to throw my next bday - you do a great job!!!

She could give you a good one! :)

Awesome job on the party Jill!!! Tangled is one of my new favorite movies and I think you replicated everything so well!!!! Memom, I hope you have a good week at school!!!!! How many days left until your Oct vacation begins???

Thanks. Testing has begun, so it will be long and boring. Seven weeks from this Saturday, I will leave it all in the dust for a few days. :thumbsup2

I think the 9 year is going to love a party like that! :woohoo:

Jill, you did an amazing job with Brookie's party! It looks like a really fun day for her!

Mmmmm MeMom. This girl is hungry so your Starring Rolls photos really made my tummy growl. Have you ever eaten lunch there and if so, what did ya think?

I have not eaten any of their sandwiches, but I have heard good things. I'm going to have to give it a try!

So far things have gone pretty well. I've got a little bitty fella with a great big attitude, but I think we can refine that a little bit in a few weeks' time. ;) I have two ADHD boys with no meds, so they are not getting much accomplished, and they are making it pretty difficult for those around them to concentrate with their tapping, noises, and movement. None of that is anything like what I had last year, though. At least - not yet!

There were people of all shapes and sizes and ages in Disney Junior. Nobody would care at all if you went to see it.

Just wanted to report I bought the cake mix and food coloring for the rainbow cake. Now I just need find an excuse to make it. ;)

Heck it will be a back to school cake. :lmao:

Next up, we spent a little time in the Art of Animation store.

Little bit of Indiana.

Little bit of Mickey Jones.

John went to ride something as a single rider, I think, and the rest of us went back to TSMM to see if we could find Ed.

This time - success!

DisneySummer20112ndset030.jpg

Not only did he give us some Fastpasses, but he also walked us straight through for a ride, too. Jill was thrilled. :woohoo:

DisneySummer20112ndset031.jpg

This time I think we rode in pairs - Bella & me and Jill & Brooklynn.

Fastpasses from before the park opened. :thumbsup2

Note what time we were eligible to get more Fastpasses. :)

Good old Ed! If you see him, tell him you are a DISer and you're a regular on our report. He's a nice guy. I am hoping we will see him on Saturday, October 15th, because him getting us Fastpasses will be the only way we'll get to ride that travel day. I told Cheena, his daughter (Dancin_Princess here) that I'm hoping he will let us take him to lunch if the timing is right. We'll probably eat at Pizza Planet, which isn't a big deal, but I'd just like to give him a token of thanks for his kindness.

Great update! Love all of the TSM pictures and that statue of Minnie as Mary Poppins. :goodvibes

Aww, Ed seems so nice! That would be a nice little treat if you guys were able to take him to lunch. :thumbsup2

Back to school.
Labor Day.
Trent's birthday is in September. He won't eat cake, so you can make it and eat it for him.

Let's see...
XX (whatever your count is) days to Disney World.
Joined DVC.
Paid all the bills and had money left over. ;)
The sky isn't falling!

Those are a few reasons to celebrate with a tie-dyed cake. :hippie:

How cool that you got fastpasses from before the park opened! That's awesome. :)
And i love the Art of Animation store!

Oooo... I love the Minnie Poppins, Retro WDW stuff and the Jiminy Cricket painting, ESPECIALLY the Jiminy Cricket painting. I would totally just buy that for no apparent or sensible reason, just something to remind me to always let my conscience be my guide :goodvibes

Ed seems so nice! He walked you guys onto the ride then you get FPs from before the park opened. I will definitely have to look for him when I'm back in the World. Should I tell him "MeMom sent me" or something like that? And you should definitely bring him to lunch, that would be a nice little surprise and treat for him from you guys (:

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

two bits of disney news today!

1) DH and I are going to Gatlinburg in October and will probably hit the Disney Outlet (in Pigeon Forge or Siervelle...can't remember which one it is in!)

2) I booked today 11/14/12-11/24/12 at FW campgrounds. I think in reality it will be 11/15 but I was told it was easier to book the extra day now and cancel the 11/14 if needed. I just don't know if we can make it to FL by 11/14 or not! DH still says we are not going but he was talking to his parents about it tonight at dinner though. I did room only incase it does not work out and I had to put the least amount of $ down.

The tangled party is Amazing!
I love the braid! And the tower pics, & the lantern & the cake is adorable!
The water slide looks pretty cool too!
Glad Brooklynn & everyone else had fun.

Between the Starring rolls pics & the tie dye cakes I really want dessert now!
I have been thinking about making cake or cupcakes the last couple of weeks, maybe this weekend I will have to make one. Back to school could be a good excuse, the kids start next Tuesday.

My daughter must not have noticed the Lotso bear or one probably would have come home with us.

Enjoying all your Disney photos as always!

I just have to share my excittement!!

I just booked 2 trips for next year with Free dining!!!

The first one is a quickie...4 nights in March celebrating DMom's bday and the F&G Festival!
I can sneak this one in without asking for any extra time off work. ;)

Here's a hint at where we will be staying....can you guess?

:yay: YES! IT'S THE ROYAL ROOM at Port Orleans Riverside! :yay:

I can't wait to see it...and all the magical details.
Lexi's favorite princess is Tiana so she will be soo excitted.

All this came about because I had to cancel the Mother's day/Cruise trip for next May.
Something came up at work and those dates won't work anymore. :sad1:
And the more I thought about it I don't really want Lexi to miss more school than she already is.
The new booking is at the begining of her March break so it works out perfectly.

The other trip I booked is for August 20 to Sept 3. 2012 at ........

:woohoo: POP CENTURY !!!
:woohoo:

I was bummed about having to cancel the cruise but this makes up for it!
I may try rebooking for August.

I told the very sweet CM on the phone that I'm trying to make the most out of our new Annual passes.

This is hilarious!!! :rotfl: Now I think you have twisted my arm into making one of these cakes...my reason...all of the above except for the DVC one....that is only a dream...a wish my heart makes...;)

Love the Animation pics. I have never seen that Annette doll before.
Very cute stuff in there.
I have "new" prints on my shopping list. I'm hoping to find a Beach Club one like the AKL one you got for your bathroom.
I'm re-doing my bathroom into beach theme. :goodvibes

-I am in LOVE with the map! Do you remember the price? And where was it located?
-Minnie Poppins is adorable!!!
-I just love the theming in TSM!
-I have yet to be successful in getting TSM FP's!

Ed is a great guy!! I will need to remember to look for him if I am at DHS on the weekend. I usually look around for him but I think I will ask around next time. :thumbsup2

I'll agree as well that Ed and his whole family are really nice folks! We have been lucky to spend time with them on several occasions when we have been at Disney! I have a feeling he will feel like quite a "chick magnet" when all the girls arrive in October!
