Mingos in the Watah! What in the Wuhld?

I wish we were getting out next Friday, but nooooo, we go back for two days with kids then a half day (work day). Well, actually just two hours of work on Wednesday then we are freeeeeee!

The "land-specific" shirts are really cute! Idk why, but I laughed at the American Idol pin...Donald's reaction on it is just perfect lol.

Happy morning! Great shot of Jill buying the statue. I noticed her, but I didn't realize that it was a mirror. I thought she was at a different register and you were buying it on the other side of the store! What a wonderful cm to play into your picture taking!

I can't believe how quickly time has passed. You better start thinking about Christmas! Half of the joy is the excitement leading up, right?:santa:

Connor will talk when he gets hungry.

What was so funny was that once I realized he wasn't talking to me, I stopped trying to talk to him. I figured I would just let him stew in his own juices. Well, he didn't like that and within ten minutes he was talking to me again.

Then, on Friday, he got mad at me because I gave Chelsea money to buy coffee at school (they have Starbucks on Friday), but I wouldn't give him money for the vending machine (I hate that they have vending machines full of junk at my school) even though he had a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit from McDonald's that morning. Well, I noticed his shirt was buttoned all wrong so I exacted "revenge" by not telling him. I am evil like that. ;)

I love the Precious Moments figure that Jill picked out! So cute and she looks like both Brooklyn and Bella with that blonde hair! :goodvibes

:rotfl:..I can agree with teenage boy drama..:rotfl:

I am envious of my teacher friends who are off either this week or early next. I will be gong strong til Xmas eve and then back to work Boxing Day.
I have no idea when I will have time to pack.

I need some hugs from my friends today...as you see my March ticker is not there anymore. :sad1:
There's going to be a major shuffle of staff at work and in the end I loose my assistant and supervisor/closer.
I will get a replacement but I doubt I can train them and feel comfortable leaving them in charge that soon.
So I sacrificed that trip but told my boss...the August trip is NOT getting cancelled, no matter what.
I will add that my boss didn't want me to cancel, bless his heart but I felt it had to be done. (Don't want you thinking he is not a good person ;))

So MeMom I will be joining you in the spring drought...with no trips til summer.

I gotta run...I have to go to the States today to pick up some online shopping .
I also need to replace some candy I ate the other night out of the "stocking stuffer" box..:rolleyes1...I was sad and needed a pick me up.

I will be on the lookout for glow stuff for NYE...never thought about that either. :goodvibes

Loving all of the updates!!! I am so jealous of everyone getting to go at Christmas. I had to come into work today, but sitting here catching up on the DIS before I get started. I buy sweaters, and all of my commitments for next Fall have to be done before I leave for Christmas :scared1: It really takes the joy out of the holiday season. But, I am sitting here listening to my 4 Parks 1 World CD which makes it a little better :goodvibes

Thanks for the updates and the diversion from what I should be doing.

That just makes me sad to think about.

Baylor hands out his share of teen boy drama as well, but the laughs make up for it!

Now that my course-work is complete. Maybe I can look for some flashy glowy party things for NYE too!

We have to go to Friday, but it's only a half-day. We'll have a lunch and then take down Christmas things. I hope to get a head start on closing out some grades to be ready for report cards. I'd rather do it now than on the work day after I come back from Disney World.

I started to make a comment about Donald's look, but I thought you guys might think I was even more kooky than you already do.
Thanks for being kooky with me. :thumbsup2

I want you to know I looked at those brown boots last night at Dillard's thinking how much I would like to get the girls some. The price made me go :scared1: though, for little girls at least. If I were getting them for Brooklynn say as a twelve year old who would really know and feel all special to get them, I would have done it, but I couldn't see $110 for a five year old to go scuff them up. I was really wanting to get her some, but being out of the loop on fashion, I didn't know how much they were. I will just have to like them on your girls for now. :goodvibes

I used to get excited about Christmas early, but as school has gotten crazier, I just really don't think much about it until it is almost here. We're going to have a meal together when Jill comes through from KY today, and the girls will open presents from me. It's all stuff that will stay here, though, for them to have to use and play with. None of it is anything great. I'll let them choose something small in Disney World. It'sll have to be small in price and especially in size, since we're flying.

Jill has several Disney Precious Moments figurines. I saw a cute one yesterday of a little boy in a Buzz Lightyear suit.

Fun with tweens and teens. I think I will enjoy it a bit more in the role of MeMom than I did as Mom. The drama part anyway. ;)

We will console each other through the long dry spell of no trips. I plan to take about ten million pictures to keep me going, and we'll have a Disney party for Bella's birthday. I suspect there will be either a Memphis, Louisville, or Atlanta Disney Store trip, too.

My spring trip will be the first one I have ever cancelled. I have thought I might have to a couple of times, but it ended up working out. This one is pretty much a given. I think I am going to just move the money to a deposit on the October trip. It's a package, so it can't go for a room only trip, which is what the summer trip will be.

I can't forget to throw in a cheap tablecloth for sitting on the lawn. Somebody keep reminding me of that, please.

A little Christmas cheer for you this Sunday afternoon.

I understand there will be glowy things. :cool1:

I wish a could find a fresh bunch of flashing rings!

I need to be sure I throw the glowy things in the suitcase when I get home. I have a feeling they are already in there... waiting.

I found spike flashing rings.... Want me to pick some up???

Good afternoon! We have had a busy weekend. Our dear friends came in this weekend. We always get together at Christmas. They spoil our children rotten. My kids seriously got more than some get for Christmas total. It was crazy. Jason and I thought it was a lot. They love buying for them though since they do not have kids. We are blessed to have wonderful friends that love our kids. They are the couple we went to WDW with in September. We are traveling to Kentucky soon to see more friends. Then, Christmas will be here! :scared1: time flies. I told Cooper we would be at WDW in less than 3 weeks. He was soon excited! Can't wait!

I do not like the fact that so many faces are covered in bubbles, however.

Yes, I understand that the bubbles are actually giving them their air supply. I still can't take something being over their faces like that. It suffocates me.

Oh MeMom.....
Walking through the shops is always a nice way to exit the park! The Precious Moments figurine is very sweet!

Today was a very Christmas-y day for me so it was fitting that you posted some more Christmas in Disney pictures :santa: My mom and I decorated the Christmas tree, I baked some cookies and also wrapped lots of gifts. Somehow, I always end up wrapping all of the gifts I buy AND all of the gifts my dad buys my mom

I'm plotting for next year...maybe 3 nights in Disney over New Year's Eve and then we'll go spend some time with Chris' family for a few nights after that...always planning :thumbsup2

I love, love, love all the Disney Christmas Carol things! I used to watch that all the time when I was little since I think it came out around then. I think I'll have to watch it on YouTube tonight!

I had some catching up to do! Have not been on the Dis too much lately & I really miss it!!

Love all the Christmas pictures.:goodvibes

I feel the urge to go find my Mickey's Christmas Carol DVD! LOVE all the cute Christmas stuff.

Really wish I could be going soon and spend NYE with you guys! MUST make a note of the link for the webcam and remember to watch it!!!

I :lovestruc Disney Christmas trees! I think they are just the prettiest! :goodvibes

Is this your last week of school, too, MeMom? I am trying to be positive on this Monday morning and tell myself, "Just five more days." I hope it works.

:faint:

I'm back, after a loooooong week. Last Sunday, after two days of errands and chores, we were planning on having a lazy day in our pajamas, putting up the Christmas tree, and making cookies. And then the phone rang. It was Jeremy, who was at our grandma's house. Apparently she fell, so she was gonna go to the hospital. She was fine, no damage, but they wanted to keep her over night. My mom talked to the doctor who said her legs weren't very strong and he didn't feel comfortable sending her home. They had a physical therapist evaluate her legs and they said they didn't want her to go home yet. That went over very well :rolleyes1 My grandma is the most stubborn person in the world. We've been trying for years to convince her to get some physical therapy for her legs, use the walker she has to help her get up in the morning, etc. Nope, she won't listen to any of it. She stayed in the hospital until Wednesday and then they transferred her to a nursing home :scared1: They're doing physical therapy every day and are hoping to get her home in a few weeks with some in home care.

I'm not sure what this means for our potential Disney trip. Hopefully we can still go. It'll actually be easier if my grandma is still in the nursing home at that point since we won't have to worry about her being at home alone. We're having a meeting with the staff tomorrow so maybe after that we'll know. My mom will definitely need a vacation by then. My grandma is not an easy person to deal with when she's not happy. My mom does get a week off for Christmas but after weeks of this we'll both need to get away for a few days. I made our ADR's last night because if we end up going it'll be last minute and I wanted to get the ADR times we wanted while they were still available. So I have this trip all planned and ready to go

I'm almost done with my first semester of college. I finished up my classes last week. I just have to write a paper and take two exams this week, then I'm done!

Where is that Mickey's Christmas Carol display at again? I have seen you post pictures of it before and I looked for it on this last trip, but still didn't see it. I think it is so cute! Maybe they just didn't have it out yet since it was so early??? I LOVE Disney window displays!
