Mingos in the Watah! What in the Wuhld?

I am so glad everything turned out okay last night. When you texted me, my heart dropped. I knew how serious it could have been if he was vomiting with a head injury. Glad it was just a stomach virus. It is weird when you respond with "Good!" after you are told someone has a virus, but the alternative was much worse.
Love the pictures this morning. I hope everyone has a good day. The weekend is close. ;)

Thanks for thinking of him last night! Now it's Keeley that has us worried. She is so sick that she may need to go in for fluids....
We just need to get this out of our systems before travel time!

Does anyone remember the link that is used so we can see the fireworks "live" from the beach. I've watched it the last couple of years and I thought I had it bookmarked, but I can't find it. :confused3

Also... are you going to put up a FB link on the Dis? I keep forgetting to put in a friend request, and I really want to see the sites in WDW and what fun you are up to!

I don't know the link, but I'm sure MeMom does. And yes, I will be putting up the link to my facebook pictures. I will wait until closer to time to make sure I give you the right album link.

I lost it too when my computer died this summer. Hopefully someone will put it up in the next 3 weeks. May some nice MeMom will do it :rolleyes1:flower3:

Do you mean eyes on ears dot com?

What's not to like about small world?

I like it, but DH thinks it is hokey. :confused3 It's not my favorite ride by any means, but I love world cultures, so I can appreciate it for that fact alone.

And don't feel bad, I don't think I have more than 5 pictures from that ride that aren't blurry. I have no idea why I can't get any decent ones.

So when are you leaving for Disney? I can never keep up with it b/c you always seem to be heading out again. :rolleyes1

What's not to like about small world?

Three things:

1. The CREEPY dolls.

2. The song that, once heard, you CANNOT get out of your head for approximately 6 days.

3. The fact that the ride itself is 12.5 minutes long......way longer than most rides. Which means that you can't get that song out of your head for an EVEN LONGER amount of time!

Don't get me wrong - I appreciate that it's a classic. And being a new mom, I appreciate that the little ones love it. But once Seth outgrows his love for it, we can hopefully avoid it from then, on. ;)

'Creepy' dolls. :rotfl: I never looked at it that way. And it has never seemed like it was 12.5 minutes long to me. Is it really that long? I guess I'm always so glad to get off my feet for a while that I never noticed how long it was. Gee, I never realized that there was really a small world hate club out there! :lmao: Well, I guess I need to start a new club so that I fit in somewhere. Mine would be for the Country Bears! :scared1:

Yeah, I might wait until they are 18. :lmao:

Connor is entering the "middle school" phase for sure. Chelsea had a doctor's appointment yesterday, so I took the day off but made Connor go to school. He was so mad at me that he STILL wasn't speaking to me when I picked him up in the afternoon.

On the other hand, Chelsea and I are getting along pretty well these days (knock on wood). She texted me the other day when she was with her BFF and said, "I'm so glad we get along" -- her BFF and her mom are constantly fighting, and it really bothers Chelsea the way they talk to each other. We'll see how long that lasts with Chelsea.

Yeah, Jill and I did better than most of her friends, I think. We stayed so busy that there wasn't a lot of time for drama. Plus, she was a good girl - she didn't run around all hours of the night, and she was never interested in drinking, so I didn't have to worry about any of that. We were all so occupied with school and ball that we did little when we came home other than eat and crash to start over the next day. That was probably a good thing.

Connor will talk when he gets hungry.

Hahaha I still don't think that was your last stop on your way out of the MK! I enjoy it's a small world, I think that was a very nice ride choice!

That's kind of how I presented it when I was fishing for a little more time. We drove this summer, so we didn't have to meet that bad bus. We had our own bad car, but we got to control the departure time. I said we should ride Small World one last time and let that be our goodbye ride, and everyone agreed.

When she texted me, I immediately consulted our DIStown doctor. :thumbsup2

I am a Small World lover, not a hater! it's corny & all that, but it's a classic.

One of my best trip memories was on IASW. My 3 yr old cousin & I went together, & he hadn't remembered the last time he went on it. We rounded that first corner into the room & he said "Oh wow!" in the sweetest voice. I may have been teary eyed that whole ride.

I think I like all the color and whimsy in the scenes - brightly colored animals are fun. And of course I love watching the kids as they see everything.

NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for thinking of me....I think.

Small World, Wendy, and birds, oh my!

Thanks for the IASW pictures they bring back memories of our dis meet last Feb/Mar. Also I remember riding IASW with my parents right after MK opened.

My Dad turns 80 on the 14th of Dec. so I am blessed to still have both my parents and we are having a Christmas/ Birthday party on the 17th with all the extended family to celebrate.

I still don't really accept the backwards entrance. Going in and toward what has always been the exit flips me out a little. :upsidedow

We'll be watching little girl dance on the 17th. Have a great time with your family!

Awwww the day parade all Christmasy up is awesome!! You guys are going to have the best time!!!!

Love Bella and her horsies!! She is going to want to ride and ride and ride some more soon!!! Those are going to be great pictures to have when she gets older!!!

I am tempted to get that Minnie on the Carrousel statue just because of Bella's love for both of them.

Whew..... Caught up, I think! The last day, oh no! Isn't it sad? But it does help to know you have another trip coming up soon, huh?

I wish I was gonna be at the NYE meet. But, it's not gonna happen. I will be watching the live feeds though and I'll be looking for everyone. I'm sure it will be easy to spot Trent even though he is so shy!

Hope you have a great day!

Yes, we have always had quite a time getting Trent to come out of his shell around people. ;) Sorry you guys won't be able to meet up with us. We will wave to you. We probably should all get glow necklaces so you can see out onto the lawn.

I'm being completely honest when I say I was thinking to myself that you got some really good Small World pictures... and then you said you thought they were crummy! Well I'm here to tell you that they are not.
I don't blame you for not wanting to leave. I'm considering pitching a tent in Fantasyland.

I got a new camera for the trip, but I doubt the pictures will be any better, since one is supposed to know what one is doing with a camera. Every once in a while I get lucky and get a clear one. :thumbsup2

Mmm Small world... sometimes i think i like it, other times i think maybe not. I don't think it's a ride that Frazer will go on when we go next May. He will be ten and a half by then, and i doubt it will be a cool ride to go on Look's like i will be taking that voyage by myself!! Thankyou for sharing your lovely Christmas pictures. 6 more day's at work and i break up for the holidays.

Maybe he will be a nice boy and go with you on one ride. :goodvibes

Five day now! :woohoo:

Wandering out of the park is the best way to leave I think, MeMom. I'm a Small World fan too. I love the music and ride's scent. Weird I know!

It is 'cheesy' in the eyes of some, but I like the innocence and simplicity of children happy and playing and being able to get along all around the world. I am just glad there are all kinds of rides and attractions for all kinds of tastes.

Hugs to you. Reconciling wanting my dad to have peace was hard when I knew it meant having him leave earth. Sending you and your mom prayers for strength through this tough time.

Memom -

:confused3 I am so confused. You said you got there early enough for a parade...was the Christmas parade at a time other than 3 pm? I am trying to make sure I see it in...only 8 days till we leave.

Sorry that your house isn't very Christmasy this year... We certainly have the halls decked enough for your house too!

Love the stalling you are doing in order to not leave MK. You always show me cool details I have yet to discover. (Chesire cat)

I am going back and forth between trip pictures and old Christmas pictures, so it would be easy to get confused. That parade was from another trip, and the one we are trying to wander our way out of is from this summer.

You know what, I haven't stopped long enough to think about the house not being decorated. The outside door is decorated, so Winnie, Tigger, and friends greet me at the door each evening. I've been getting in late, and by the time I eat and do home and/or school chores, I haven't given Christmas decorations much thought. I stuck my big Caroler Mickey on the table, and that's enough for us for this year. The girls will be here Sunday for a meal as they pass through from KY back to home, and that is all they will be here this month, so it just wasn't worth getting the stuff out. I'll be at their house next Saturday, and then the next weekend is Christmas.

I'm glad you are seeing new things in the pictures. Disney World provides so many cool details in resorts and parks.

I am in the LOVE Small World group! it is one of the rides I always have to ride when we go to DL & WDW. My kids roll their eyes, and let me...and try to ignore my singing during the ride. I am pretty easy on our trips and do pretty much what they want, so they "allow" me to get a couple of my favs in!
I think it helps we get the Christmas overlay, as it changes it up and the song doesn't end up getting on your nerves!

Love the pics of Bella on the horsies. We didn't live close to DL when my DD's were that age and now they will ride, but it is not as cute as when the little ones as they ride.

Does anyone remember the link that is used so we can see the fireworks "live" from the beach. I've watched it the last couple of years and I thought I had it bookmarked, but I can't find it.

Jill does a good job of posting update pictures. Be sure you are friends with her. :thumbsup2

Declansdad was right about the link. ::yes:: At least, that is what they have done in the past. If it changes, I will let you know.

I lost it too when my computer died this summer. Hopefully someone will put it up in the next 3 weeks. May some nice MeMom will do it

I will try to get in touch with Dave and Kathy and see when they will begin streaming.

Small World lover here! Mary Blair art work just puts me in a good mood, no wonder I love the new line of Disney clothes! I just wish they made them in my size!

Didn't they have big girl shirts at the Philharmagic gift shop? I thought they did have a Small World one.

Thanks for thinking of him last night! Now it's Keeley that has us worried. She is so sick that she may need to go in for fluids....
We just need to get this out of our systems before travel time!

Yep, and I am glad to know that they were both feeling better last night. :)

Do you mean eyes on ears dot com?

That is what it has been.

I should probably just do video instead of pictures.

We are doing a Christmas morning presents and breakfast, and then we are heading to the airport. Our flight leaves at noon, I think.

And what makes you think Seth will outgrow his love for it??? You better not sway that sweet little boy not to like that ride!

I think the dolls are cute, but I have to say, if I allowed myself to read Kingdom Keepers, I might move over to the creepy side thoughts, too....

which is why I will never read a Kingdom Keepers book. :upsidedow

Trent has a shell? Hmmmm, are we talking about the same person?

Yes, he does.
However, unlike most, instead of hiding inside of it, he sets it on the ground and uses it as a stage! :)

So funny because I love the Country Bears....especially Big Al. "Blooooooooooooooood on the saddle......."

The stuff my nightmares are made of!

I make fun of you, but you know I do relate to the feelings because of my claustrophobia. Mission:Space, the AquaDuck, or an inside stateroom on a Disney ship would be heaven to some, but nightmares to me.

Those Country Bears are a rowdy bunch, but who can't smile at

'Awl the guys that turn me awn, turn me down...'

or

'Heart, we did aaaaawwwlll that we coooo-uuhd...'?

I did say that we were leaving Magic Kingdom, didn't I?

It's a process, people....give us some time to do it right. ;)

Random shots as we continue that journey.

I like the concept of this shirt. A Land specific t-shirt is awesome! :thumbsup2

I do not like the fact that so many faces are covered in bubbles, however.

Yes, I understand that the bubbles are actually giving them their air supply. I still can't take something being over their faces like that. It suffocates me.

Bella was getting tired, so that paci was back in her mouth. For someone so attached to it, she did really well letting the paci fairies take all of them away.

A lot of orange-shirted creatures from Planet A were beginning their invasion of Tomorrowland.

Did you notice the mirror on the right?

I really liked that T-shirt too, but totally understand why it troubles you with your phobia of bubble heads.....

That Precious Moments is ADORABLE! So cute!

You know, before knowing MeMom, I never noticed how many of those poor guys were trapped under glass. Now I see them everywhere! :rotfl:

I hope everyone has a great weekend! I am on Day 5 of a bad cold so I hope I can kick it this weekend. I have a quick meeting this afternoon but then I can lay low the rest of the weekend, and that's for sure the plan. :thumbsup2

Connor will talk when he gets hungry.

As a mother of a teenaged boy I will agree. He may ONLY talk to you when he is hungry but he will talk. :lmao:

I still don't really accept the backwards entrance. Going in and toward what has always been the exit flips me out a little. :upsidedow

I was a little thrown too but I like being "in" the ride waiting to go in instead of "looking" in. When you get off you can escape quickly.:lmao:

I've been so stinkin' busy I haven't even thought about getting flashy things for NYE. So glad you gals are on the ball!

I really liked that T-shirt too, but totally understand why it troubles you with your phobia of bubble heads.....

You think that's bad? You should see what Jackie's picture of Haddon and Ingrid on FB did to me! :scared1: :faint:

I hope I have not created another phobic. It is not fun, I can assure you!

I hope you are getting that much needed rest. It does feel so go on Saturday mornings not to have to get up and get ready to go somewhere. ::yes::

I agree. Leaving is a process.

Love the pic of Jill's reflection in the mirror! Very cool!

For some, the process is a tiny bit long. (Read - ridiculously long. ;))

About the teenage boy - add to the list 'or when he needs money'. :goodvibes

That CM looks like she had a little extra pixie dust sprinkled on her Mickey Waffle that morning!!!

She was excited about Jill's purchase. :)

So do the ones in the Japan Pavilion at Epcot! But I'll take an extra chipper CM over a grump any day!

Definitely. :thumbsup2

Sounds good. We will borrow some, if you are up for that.

Me, too, Wigd. I have had a ton of stuff going on at school, and I have to finish the paperwork on my student teacher, because he leaves Wednesday. I still haven't stopped to completely soak in the fact that Christmas is in two weeks and that I have to get in gear to get ready for the trip. Luckily, we get out Friday, so I still have all of next week to do what I need to do.
