Mingos in the Watah! What in the Wuhld?

Happy Monday MeMom...hope you had a nice weekend.

Leaving the MK is quite possibly the saddest part of a trip so I understand dragging your feet before leaving! I'll take 2 milk chocolate covered strawberries please :thumbsup2

What's the countdown to your trip??

momof2TNboys: :grouphug: to you and your family. It is the pits to have family health problems, but it is REALLY the pits during the holidays. We just went thru this with my DH's parents the last 2 years. While I miss them tons, it is nice to know that they are not suffering anymore. Hang in there!

Just popping in to say hi this evening! School is still not leaving me much DIS time.:sad2: But I am enjoying seeing all the Christmas pictures each morning or evening when I have a chance to browse through!:goodvibes I sure wish we were going back this year.

Momof2Tnboys-I am keeping you and your family in my thoughts and sending some hugs. I, too, know how painful it is to go through it all.

Everyone have a good week!!

Leaving the Magic Kingdom is always the hardest thing for me. Especially when I know I'm leaving it for the last time on my trip. :sad1:

Hey MeMom and Jill!! Sorry I haven't been around that much. Apparently I have been hiding under a rock from the dis! lol Love the shopping pictures! I saw a lot of things that are on my list for my next trip. I also love the Christmas pictures! Especially the ones from the Wilderness campground. Man, those folks know how to set out some Christmas decorations and good ones at that! :goodvibes

More great pics of MK. It is so hard to say good bye. if you do get a chance to see Kidani for Christmas it is really nice.

Praying for Cara's Dad-I have been there.

/
Cara, so sorry to hear that your dad is not doing well. I hope the doctors are able to make him comfortable. Watching a parent suffer is heartbreaking, I have been down that path.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.

So sorry about your Dad. Thoughts and prayers for your family.

Momof2TNboys - I'll be praying and sending best wishes for your family

You know you have a lot of people thinking about you here, Cara. We sure hope things work out for your dad to feel good enough for you to all enjoy this holiday time together , especially for your sweet boys.

momof2TNboys I will pray for your Dad too.
I hope he will feel better soon and you can enjoy the holidays together.
Take Care. We are all here for you. :grouphug:

Thanks for asking. My DMom is doing just great!
No apt's for her today. She goes on Thurday for a second follow up.
He should then give her an all clear to drive again too. :goodvibes
She may get her next surgery date as well.

Poolrat good to see you got the bananas dancing again....I'm wishing for good weather for all of us that week!

I hope the weather is just perfect - warm in the daytime and just cold enough in the evening to make it seem Christmasy. :santa:

I get things mixed up that are going on with people. Something was happening for somebody on Monday. Maybe I was thinking of Cara's dad going to the doctor. Maybe that was yesterday. Or maybe it was someone out here in real life.

MomTN, I'll be praying for you & your dad. It's never easy to see someone you love in pain.

MeMom, I would be happy to make a Spring Break trip with you!! I'm not as fun as Brooklynn, I'm sure, but I'd be your Spring Break Buddy!! :)

Money is the factor this year. There will be no spring break trip, unless Jill were to decide to go for spring break instead of going in October. There will only be a summer trip and one other on this coming year, I'm afraid.

I am so sorry to hear about all those who are suffering during this holiday season. No time is good but the holidays should be happy times. I am very blessed and thankful that my family is well during this time.

We will be at WDW next week at this time! When I see you leaving MK I am already sad that I will have to leave. :confused3

Yay for This Time Next Week! :woohoo: What a fun game!

Thinking about leaving even before you go?
Been there. ::yes::
Get those evil thoughts out of your head!

Happy Monday MeMom...hope you had a nice weekend.

What's the countdown to your trip??

Maybe about three weeks? As I think about it, I think we are in the teens as of today.

This weekend was quiet. The next two weekends, I will see my girls. They will come though here on the way home from KY Sunday, and I'll be going to AL next weekend.

momof2TNboys: :grouphug: to you and your family. It is the pits to have family health problems, but it is REALLY the pits during the holidays. We just went thru this with my DH's parents the last 2 years. While I miss them tons, it is nice to know that they are not suffering anymore. Hang in there!

And now you have to transition a little during holidays - keeping some old traditions and making some new ones. Hope your family is able to have a wonderful holiday. :)

Everyone have a good week!!

School took like 60% of my days for the first several months, so I know how you feel. I came home, crashed, and went back to do it all again. Things have eased up in the last few weeks, and I am so thankful!

Leaving the Magic Kingdom is always the hardest thing for me. Especially when I know I'm leaving it for the last time on my trip.

Do you wander all up and down the street before you finally force yourself to walk out the gate?

Hey MeMom and Jill!! Sorry I haven't been around that much. Apparently I have been hiding under a rock from the dis! lol Love the shopping pictures! I think a lot of people have been very busy in the last few months. When you have jobs and kids and activities, the DIS slides down the list a little. We do miss having you and Dawn and Erica around, but we understand. It's good that we can keep up a little through FB, too. Thanks for checking in.

More great pics of MK. It is so hard to say good bye. if you do get a chance to see Kidani for Christmas it is really nice.

Praying for Cara's Dad-I have been there.

Kidani, Old Key West, and possibly Yacht Club is what I think I can get to. Saratoga Springs would be the last never-have-seen-at-Christmas resort, but if I have to leave one out, that will be the one that will wait.

Wait! I haven't seen Bay Lake Tower's Christmas lobby.
Oh, nooooo.
Another one to add to the list.

We've got just enough time for a Christmas parade this morning.

If you have never seen and heard these guys clip-clopping along, you need to. It is very cool.

Here he comes! Have you behaved yourselves this year?

P1130278.jpg

And the answer is?

Thanks everyone for your kind words and prayers. He went to the doctor yesterday and he told him he did not hear anything. Well, I am a doctor too and I heard something so a miracle happened or he did not listen well enough. He did give him antibiotics so we will see. My mom is a nurse so she is taking care of his foot as much as she can and it is looking a little better. I have been praying that God just give us strength to get through whatever comes. It is hard to see your strong father wilt away. He can barely speak now due to a stroke he had and he just looks miserable. He is one of the reasons I love Disney. One of my earliest memories was riding HM with him. He used to whistle IASW all the time. It is just hard, but I appreciate all your kind words. I will keep you posted.
Great Christmas parade pics!

That parade looks so cute and you got some great pictures of it. My favorite is the one of Chip and Dale with the snow.

Cara - Your family is in my prayers! I hope things improve for your dad. My DH lost his dad right before Christmas a number of years ago and it was very difficult to feel "in the Christmas mood" - still is for that particular day. KWIM? We are all here for you!

I love all the wonderful Christmas pictures you're posting MeMom!!! I still think our Dec. 09 trip was one of our best even though it was crazy with 12 of us (DH's family!).

BLT's lobby doesn't have much for decorations.

sorry it's so bad

Honestly, I'm on the naughty list....
how in the world can you have any fun if you are always being good?

Cara, I'm sorry your family is going through such a difficult time. I'm thinking of you and praying from the best possible outcome for your father.

Is there a third list that's somewhere between naughty and nice? I haven't necessarily been bad, but I could have been better.

I love that Christmas parade. I've only seen it once in person, but I've seen it many times through all my DIS friends. I liked the float that came by that smelled like gingerbread cooking.

Cara, so sorry to hear about your dad! Lots of hugs and prayers headed your way and his.

MeMom, I am a day late, but hopefully there is still room for me at the parade! We actually have seen that one (on the Christmas 2004 trip) -- I love all the princesses decked out in their Christmas finery.

Have I been good this year? Well, I think I have been "okay."

Love the parade pics. I used to not love parades, but after the Boo to You parade I have developed a new found appreciation for them. :goodvibes

I love the toy soldiers!! Watching them march really is awesome.

Hahaha yes, I've behaved this year!

One for the nice list. :thumbsup2

Well, I've been mostly good this year. Does that count?! :)

One for the mostly nice list. ;)

Honestly, I'm on the naughty list....
how in the world can you have any fun if you are always being good?

I had little doubt you'd be on the naughty list. :upsidedow

Yes I have been good this year. :goodvibes

You seem very confident. Will Ma back that up? :rolleyes1

Great Christmas parade pics!

We know it is. :grouphug: Hang in there. It's really all you can do. This is one of those things in life we can have no control over. Good thoughts and many prayers for your mom as she takes care of him.

Cara, I'm sorry your family is going through such a difficult time. I'm thinking of you and praying from the best possible outcome for your father.

I forwarded your text to me this evening to Cara. I thought we need a doctor in the house. Well, in the phone.

That parade looks so cute and you got some great pictures of it. My favorite is the one of Chip and Dale with the snow.

I have the Christmas Chip and Dale in one of my tubs, but they're not going to get to come out and play this year.
The only thing that got to come out was the huge Caroler Mickey.
Right now, he is laying on the kitchen table surrounded by groceries that need to be put up.

Yeah, this is not the most festive of houses this year. ;)

I do believe those girls have gotten a little taller since then!

Thanks for the pictures. I don't know if I will get over there or not, but I sure want to. I love seeing the resorts. BLT is so nice, but Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom Lodge seem much more warm and inviting to me.

Yeah, you can be up there with Katie. :goodvibes

I like the smell of gingerbread more than the taste of it, but I have not tasted Disney's version. I need to get a piece from GF, don't I? ::yes::

Cara, so sorry to hear about your dad! Lots of hugs and prayers headed your way and his.

I'm thinking that in between list is going to get pretty full. :crowded:

Belle's Christmas dress is sure pretty.

It would be interesting to let Chelsea and Connor grade you on Parenting 101. Are you up for the results?

No, on second thought, wait until after they are 18. I promise, you will get better grades. :teacher:

Love the parade pics. I used to not love parades, but after the Boo to You parade I have developed a new found appreciation for them. :goodvibes

Boo to You is certainly a good one!

Have you seen Jammin' Jungle? We like it, too.
We like them all, really. We're just little kids at heart, and we love seeing the characters.
