With the new "bio" stuff with the tickets, what if someone dies? Like we get No expiry for grandma because we plan to go next year, too, but grandma dies? Are those days lost?

oh goodness, I never thought about that. good question....I will be curious to see the answers.

I asked that question in Dec at the end of the trip. I asked if mom cannot come the next time due to illness or something, can I transfer the ticket? He smiled and said that the questions comes up frequently. The CM mentioned that they are still working on that.

If the tickets haven't been used yet, of course, there are no biometrics attached and no problem with letting someone else use the ticket.

If you have a no-expiration ticket that has been partially used, I don't know what happens in that situation.

No experience here with that, but I am sure you could arrange something with Disney.

In the early 1990's Disney had at least one brochure that stated something like "ticket good for any X days out of the rest of your life".

There have been at least a few recent instances when the remains of tickets were transferred to next of kin.

The Bio-metrics on any ticket can be re-calibrated and re-assigned at any time (while the ticket is in the turnstile). While this is obviously not something you will see often as the purpose is to make sure that the tickets remain non-transferable, I am sure that in a special circumstance like the one you have posed here, they would probably make an exception as you have a ligit reason and you would be using it for someone else in the family you would not be trying to resell the ticket.

well, since they have years of experience with the same scenerio for annual passes, I'm pretty sure there's a policy....and don't count on it being in favor of the buyer...no big deal....and if I'm the one that's gone, I probably won't care; too much :smooth: :smooth:

What, the tickets were cremated too? :lmao:

I would think an anuual pass would only be good for the person it was purchased for, as it has the name of that person on it. Would you have to bring a death certificate with you to prove the person isn't ever going to use it? otherwise, you could just get an AP, and sell it half way through the year, to anyone...
