Okay, I think we are going to bite the bullet and purchase into DVC. But I had a question, how hard is it to get a ressie in you home base and out of home locations? I am thinking by the time we find a resale that fits our needs and then go through settlement it will be Nov or Dec before I am able to make our first ressie. We are planning on going to Disney August 2, 2003 Do you think I will have trouble getting a 1 Bdrm Villa for a week? I think we would like to make our home base the Wilderness lodge, if we can find one.

we have gone in august for the last 3 years and have not had any problem getting reservations at the 7 month window....we ahve stayed at the BCV, OKW, and BCV....you may have to put ypurself on a waitlist for your top choice, but that usually comes through......we usually make the reservation at our home resort at the 11 month window, and then we make the one we want (if it is different) at the 7 month window.

We go the first 2 weeks of August. The past 2 years I book at my home OKW and then at the last minute (about 1-2 months out) I swapped one week for VWL. I had no problem getting a 1 BR. The 2 BR is another question, they are harder to get at the last minute.
