Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party Central 2005

Hi, we leave in 9 days & will attend MVMCP on 12/13; I've got a few "newbie" questions:

1) They're currently calling for rain that day...will it ruin our fun? Do they cancel the parades/Wishes?

2) Are the Co. Bear Jam. & Galaxy Palace Theater (Mickey's Night Before Xmas) the same as run during the day - don't want to tie ourselves up with something we can see earlier.

3) I cannot figure out where the Galaxy Palace Theater is in Tomorrowland - don't think I've ever seen it, let alone been in it.

If the weather forecast holds, does WDW issue refunds? We can't re-schedule, since we're off to DCL Wonder on Thursday. Although we have a Fantasmic Pkg booked for the Sunday prior, would it be worth my while to try & switch the day of MVMCP?

TIA - I can't wait to experience the party!!!

I have a question for anyone who has been to MVMCP. We will be going on December 15th (Thursday). This will be the first full day of our trip. We check in the night before (Wednesday). This is a suprise trip for our daughters. I can't believe we hve held onto this secret this long. Ok, my question. We plan on attending the MK on the same day as our MVMCP party. Is the park crowded or light during the day before the party. I'm inclined to think it would be light since the park closes early for the party. Has anyone been to the MK during the day of a MVMCP? I realize most will say not to go but my daughters will be begging to go to their favorite park our first day.

I think it will be not too crowded on Wed., it's the middle of the week and I don't believe that it's an Early magic hour park that morning. Anyway, we are getting there on Wed too!!! I think I will probably want to go to MK that first day too!!! :wizard:

We did the same thing this past Sunday. It was our first day and the kids were crazy to get to MK. Our MVMCP was the same night. We arrived at the park 30 minutes before opening and by 11:00 had ridden almost everything we wanted to (most more than once). It was the least crowded day we have ever seen at Disney. We went back to the room at 2:30 to take naps (my kids are 7 and 3) for about 2 1/2 hrs, and then came back to MK about 5:30. Lots of people were arriving for the party, but the rides were still pretty light. We rode a couple of things then got in line about 6:15 for the Night Before Christmas show at 6:45. We ended up staying until midnight because it was so nice just hopping right on the rides with little to no wait time. I hope you'll have the same good fortune!!

Keishashadow -

We watched Spectromagic this past Monday night in the heaviest downpour I have ever experienced at Disney. Poor Ariel was soaking wet just waving her heart out!! As for your other questions, I don't know. But the Galaxy Palace Theater is just past the exit of the Buzz Lightyear Ride. I had never noticed it either.

We are keeping our fingers crossed that it will be the same. I'm so glad to hear you had alot of fun. I'm hoping Thursday is an off night for MVMCP. I just checked the weather for that day (as is the weathermen are ever right) and they are saying "Brilliantly Sunny" and 75 degrees (fingers double crossed). I have been planning this suprise so long I can't wait to go.... :cool1:

I'm so glad to hear this. It sounds almost exactly like our plans! I hope ours work out as well. :)

Does anyone know what time the Belle's Enchanted Christmas shows are? Supposedly it's not on the map, but several people have reported seeing it.

Thanks!

We are doing the same thing that day. I understand that they will let you in at 4:00PM not a minute earlier.. See you at the gate at 4

Going on the 11th with 4:05 ressie at CRT. Praying that I don't lose my ADR if I am a little late. Don't want to use a day on my park hopper when I already have a ticket for MVMCP.

Will it be OK if I don't get there on time? :confused3

I'm really looking forward for a scanned copy of the map too! Someone had scanned the MNSSHP map right after the first party. This would make planning a lot easier.

I just read on another thread that 12/18 sold out today. Is this the first one to sell out?? That is the night we are going. I have been to sold out parties the past 3 years so I am not too worried, it was very manageable.

I just tried getting tickets for 12/18 and yes, it is sold out. I had been putting it off and putting it off. The only reason I had chose 12/18, instead of 12/16, was that 12/18 was $5.00 cheaper per ticket. Now it actually works out better because on 12/16, we are heading to the parks at 10ish (and my parents will take DS back with them..while hubby and I have some time together at MVMCP!!) and 12/18, we had an adr at 8:10. We get in late on 12/15...so all, in all...12/16 is better for me.
But yes, I was unable to get 12/18 tickets online about 1 hour ago..

Yep, I just checked the website and it says beside of 12/18 "this event is sold out". Good thing I bought our tickets when they went on sale. I figured 12/18 and 12/20 would probably sell out since they are the last two parties.

Bought mine in Juy due to this very reason. Like I said before, my family goes to one of the last parties every year and they have all been sold out.

Even though the parties have been sold out, it has all been very manageable. The only long line we have ever waited in was to get our photo done. The picture in 2003 was of such bad quality, we didn't even bother last year. Other than the photo line and the parades, it seemed as if we had the park to ourselves.

The one thing I did notice though was that no matter what time you go to Tomorrowland it always seemed the busiest. Could this be because that is where the holding area has traditionally been and people just get hung there all night??? Hmmmmmm.......... Or is it that Tomorrowland is always busy??

I don't even care how busy the party is...everytime I go with my girls something magical happens. 2 years ago during the first parade while everyone was there we went back to fantasy last and when we got to the back of the castle there is was Cinderella and her coach. NO LINE she twirled with my girls and the most precious moment to see their eyes light up!!! Oh 5 more days!!!!!
