OK...this will be my first time booking a cruise while on board, so want to do this the right way....for certain it will be a dummy cruise I am booking, as I don't have plans to cruise next year...plus the prices of the cruises are too high for me, so would think that I would move this to when they announce 2013 cruises, or if they ever did a kids sail free offer.
So-- I am guessing that it is best for me to book the cheapest cruise. There are 5 of us.
what about booking the December 2011 kids sail free offer for the mexican riveria? do you think It is better for me to book one room for the 5 of us, or 2 rooms?
Any advice?
I always rebook on board to get the 10% discount and OBC.
Tell the DCL agent you want a dummy date. They use December.
Price will be based on 5 in one cabin.
But, you can book a room for 1 and pay the deposit on that. Then add four family members down the road. Or just pick your favorites to sail with you and leave the others home.
Take the dummy date and push, push, push until you find something you want. This cruise we're going on I booked on the MSLSC in 2009. I hold reservations like playing cards.
In my opinion I would price an inside room for the kids and one across the hall for the adults. Then price a room for five. Do the math and see what works best for you.
