Thanks Shan for the welcome.

I've been looking at the other boards. I've just read 50 pages of tips and must do things!!! How will I have the time!! I'm just so excited.

In the UK dress up for Halloween is normally ghosts and witches, stuff like that. My DS9 has a ghost costume where he uses face paints to be all white with big black eyes, is this ok or should he wear one of his Disney costumes? Or do I need to start being really creative? I've seen alot of good ideas and links here?

Also will HM be too scary for him?

:hyper:

Welcome to DIS Jude 13 from one relative newcomer to another. We are arriving on October 28th and have tickets for MNSSHP on October 29th. Really looking forward to it but cannot decide whether DW and I will wear costumes or just the kids. What are you planning?

Welcome to Dis.
I finally went on HM for the 1st time in March.
I am a certified chicken, and I absolutely love it.
Can't wait to go at Halloween time.

I'll be there along with my mom, my sister and a friend. Can't wait.

Hi Martrob, Glad to see someone else form the UK is comming for the school holidays (and a little extra maybe??) :):bounce:

DS9 would want to go as a ghost, (if he knew he was going!) as thats what he always wears. He has a costume a white long gown with loads of holes and bats and spiders hanging of it, he uses face paints to get white hair and face with big black eye sockets, but......
as I type this I'm thinking of the list of does and donts, ie: not too long, not likely to get trapped etc, so maybe thats a no. Thats means his second fav which is pirates - thats ok as he is going on the pirate cruise from the GF as well (same costume = less packing ;) )
As for DF well if he even wears a halloween t shirt it will be a real step forward, he doesnt do excitment or joining in - but I'm working on him
Me, well I dont know I'm a kind of big girl so I'm still thinking, using some of the links in the early posts here.

Anyone have any ideas for us curvy!! ladies?

hi jude:wave:

i am a bit more curvey::yes:: so i have decided to keep it simple(i did post a reply to you on page 48)i am going to wear a plain blackt-shirt and have a picture of a pumkin printed on it and dh and the kids don't want to dress up either so i will be buying them a halloween t-shirt when we go::yes::

so maybe you could just get a plain tee and have a halloween type printed on it:D
whatever you decide have fun:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Add us to the MNSSHP 10/29. Halloween sold out of course :(

We are staying at Hilton Downtown Disney using our Hilton Honors points.

Can someone share with me what time we can get into MK without eating dinner/with eating dinner.

What is special about dining at Disney for MNSSHP for CP and LTT?

Do they do anything special--are ps just for party guests?

LTT was the only restaurant booking PS when tickets went on sale AND the characters do where Halloween masks.

There's really nothing special about CP but it's one of my favorite places to eat.

You can also eat at the Castle and Tony's too. CP, the Castle and Tony's can be booked at 90 days.

They do not do anything special and anyone can eat at them.

You can get in to the park with just your party tickets after 4:00p whether or not you eat.

:o

Gosh Uktigger so sorry, I did read your post, I just got swept along with everything. Really sorry.

I think your idea of a tshirt with a print is brilliant, nice and simple. I shall start looking tomorrow. More apologies due as well, when I typed DF I meant DH!!! I think he may be persauded to wear a tshirt, I wonder if I could think of some witty halloween saying or something with part on each t shirt?

I'm getting so carried away, I've already been on the phone twice to organise stuff, firstly the MNSSHP and today for tickets for the Pirate Cruise from the GF - they only had one slot for the two weeks we are there! I know I read all this info I guess I just didnt realise that everyone would be so organised (dont know what I was thinking really) As I add the info to my spreadsheet I'm just getting more and more excited for my first trip to WDW:tongue:

By the way we are arriving on 23 Oct for 2 weeks, staying at POR and doing MNSSHP on 26 Oct. Cant wait a moment longer.....

 jude

don't be sorry there is so many posts on this thread::yes::
me and dh were chatting about our costumes today and he told me he will wear a t-shirt but that's it(it was touch and go wether he would)we are staying at all star movies:D

what have you got planned for dinner on your party night?we are having a late lunch at kona cafe then we will just be snacking in the evening

it is so exciting isn't it,we are just as excited this time as we were the first time we went:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Yeah!!:Pinkbounc

We are official...I ordered our tickets for 10/28/04 today!! But silly me I forgot to make our PS!! I am hold now to do that!! Ugghhh - LTT is totally booked...I got CP for 5:30......now will I have to leave the park and come back in after dinner?

I am so excited....now
anyone have any ideas for a pregnant costum? I will be about 6 months then - so pretty much showing.....

You could be a pumpkin, pregnant nun, hang a box around you and have your tummy as the bun in an oven...

I'm sure if you goggled you could find lots of ideas for pregnant costumes! :)

When I was pregnant I once went as princess Leia, complete with bun wig. It was actually pretty funny looking.

You could also go as twins with your hubby. My DH once went as a pregnant man, put a ball underneath his shirt with the belly button sticking out. It looked pretty funny since he had a full beard at the time.

NO, you do not have to leave the park and re-enter.

Oh, please don't be a pregnant nun. :( To many people this would be tasteless and inappropriate at WDW, IMHO.

Anybody not doing dinner in the parks--I'm debating between packing a cooler and eating in my hotel room or doing a CM.

DD loves Cinderealla--so we booked for 1900 Park fare on the 29th...I figured since MK would be the next stop on the monorail, that this would be okay. Any thoughts?

Or are you guys booking in MK b/c of the whole costume thing pirate:

I love dressing up--but at the same time don't want to feel silly--thinking of doing a conservative costume--perhaps make myself a poodle skirt or something.

DD4 is going as piglet (she wanted to be aerial, but the fabric store--had not 1 usable shade of green for aerials tail and since I am not a pro at sewing, I didn't want to chance using different types of fabric other than suggested).

DD2 will be Marie the "kitty baby" from Aristocats--that'll be a lovely combination--white fur and chocolate--mom has a serious problem--but with shipping and clearance summer sales--it was less than $13 bucks and she loves cats!

Husband is still running the course on what he will do :)
