Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Central 2004!!!!!! =0)

Agghhh! I finally talk DH into maybe considering going and our flight price increases by $80 and now tickets are sold out for the 31st already?! Am I just not meant to every see MNSSHP?! Is there anyone out there who has tickets for two adults they are no longer going to use? (You don't need tickets for little peanuts under 2 do you?)

Can someone tell me what the trick or treat bags they hand out look like?

Last year the trick or treat bags were bright orange with black pictures & writing on. Adults as well as kids get them!

FINALLY Got our costumes planned and bought. We are doing a PoC Movie Theme.

DH is dressing as close to Jack Sparrow (oops sorry - CAPT Jack Sparrow). DD & I are dressing alike and our costumes will be similar to Elizabeth's maid. They will be different colors. We have been finding lots of goodies to go with the costumes on Ebay. In fact we got our costumes off of Ebay.

Can't Wait - First MNSSHP - :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

Has anyone stayed at the Swan the night of MNSSHP? Does anyone know if their transportation will be running at midnight to take you back to the resort?
Thanks!:wave2:

Not the Swan, but the Dolphin. Yup, they did. At least 2 years ago. :) ::yes::

While it is run by Westin (or is it Sheraton? I always confuse the S&D), for all intents and purposes, it is a Disney resort. And just like all the other Disney resorts there will be transportation after the party. Usually the Swan and Dolphin share a bus with Yacht & Beach Club and the Boardwalk Inn.

We will be there for the 17th. Also have PS for LTT @5:15. DS 18mos will be Peter Pan, DD 5yrs Tinkerbell, DW Wendy and DH Captain Hook!pirate:

We'll be there on the 17th as well...can't wait to see you there!!! (We haven't decided on what costumes tho  )

Just booked Tony's for 5:15 on the 3rd. Anyone else eating there on a MNSSHP night?
I thought that was a pretty good time considering how late I'm booking it.
I keep seeing LTT and CP on this thread.

Should we dress up in costume before we go or after dinner?

Thanks!

but I can't find anything in this sea of a thread.

Will it be too warm Oct. 3rd MNSSHP for kids to wear DS costumes? Buzz lightyear is heavy plastic-like and and even has thick shoe covers. Woody is pretty heavy fabric too. Do kids wear these DS costumes to the party?
And are they sweaty and hot all evening?
I was thinking maybe I could cut/hem them into shorts, but that may just look ridiculous, plus the costumes are expensive and I want them to be able to wear them for Halloween at home where they will definately need the heavy fabric on their legs and arms
, cause it usually snows!

I ordered our tickets for the Oct 8 party on Monday. Any idea how soon I can expect the vouchers? We're about 90 minutes south of Atlanta, I actually received a now unnecessary courtesy ressie today that I requested on Sunday so maybe in tomorrows mail????? We now have res' for WL CV for 10/6 &10/7, move to Poly on the 8th for the 8th and 9th. Dinner PS for O'hana at 5:40. We're all excited, girls are 7 & 9, DH's actual birthday is the 6th, plus Halloween is his favorite holiday, so we're all pretty pumped. Getting my new reservations for both hotels on BAT helped too! ;) ;)

rcraw45425, I'm in Marietta. Ordered tickets Thursday, got them today Thursday. One full week.

Mom of 5 - I believe that it will be quite warm on Oct 3 (we're doing the 1st), and I plan to just have the kids dress up in some PJ "costumes" I bought today at Kohls - My DD will be in a Cinderella short sleeve long "gown" ($9.00 on sale) which is very lightweight. DS will be in a Buzz sleep shirt and shorts ($5.00 on sale). I don't want to waste a lot of luggage space with the real costumes (that they'll wear on 31st back home), and these PJs really do look like costumes and not sleepwear! I'd rather have kids not hot and cranky than be bogged down in a warm costume! Jo

Shan, June & July trips? You're worse than we are, (maybe ;) ;) ) WE went in April (Spring Break, wound up offsite because of last minute planning, Holiday Inn, absolutely miserable location, Irlo Bronson, noisy). It was a last minute request from DD7 for her birthday so I had no time to set money aside for our usual CR. Went back in June for DD9's birthday We went for HER birthday, why not mine? was the song and dance I got for two weeks prior to the reservation. CR was sooo welcome after the HI experience! Now back in October for DH's birthday. Sense a pattern here? I guess my birthday gift was that my birthday is sandwiched between both girls' in May and I didn't have to fork over the cash again.

My new wail: Why didn't I buy Annual Passes???????????

Robin, that is our problem - APs!!!

The mixture of APs and DVC is about to put us in the poor house!!! :hyper:

This trip was last minute, we were able to get into OKW. I was stressed out and hubby suggested we get away for a few days since we have APs. Course, once he suggested that I was in planning mode full gear! :teeth:

My fear exactly. Hubby had never been at all till we went while I was pregnant with our oldest (4/95). I'll never forget that trip. WE were on our way back when we heard about the OK City bombing. Believe it or not, Disney whil 5.5 months pregnant wasn't too bad. We stayed at Marriott at Sea World, nice hotel but the buses had no A/C, we used our car after the first day. Went back when our first was 2 1/2 and our younger one was 11 months. I'll never forget the bellman's words 28 pieces of luggage? COme on, some of it was diapers, formula for little one and the ever necessary double stroller that must have weighed 30 pounds!

Enjoy your quick trip, those are sometimes the best! I'm truly blessed with a hubby who's job allows him flexibility to get away like this in the week. We have started trying to work around the school thig, but this is special.

You're in Marietta, what do you think of our new 5 unexcused absense law that says that the school district cantake you to court/jail you for up to 30 days ?? Luckily hubby's a doc so I have the excuse thing down cold :bounce: :bounce:

Time for bed,

Robin
