Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Central 2004!!!!!! =0)

We just purchased our tickets for MNSSHP on Oct.26th. We booked a PS for LTT at 5:25pm. Anyone else going that day? Can't wait. Hope we'll be done in time for the parade. That's my favorite.

Wow, just managed to unsubscribe myself to all threads by mistake when I meant to drop just one... that means I must immediately post to this, my most essential thread, right now to get it back!

Sorry to be off the subject. I'll try to make this relevant:

CAN'T WAIT FOR MNSSHP!! (And sincere thanks to all of you guys who are helping make this wait bearable!)

My boys are 3 years old and 15 months old, so they aren't going to really care about their costumes. It's always cold here on Halloween, and costumes that would work here will be too hot at Disney (We're going on 10/3). They already have little basketball outfits, they're shorts and a jersey-type shirt, would those be ok? That might be the easiest for us, would they stick out too much?

Also, JLDSMD--we're also going on 10/3! Right now we have a PS for LTT at 4:30, which I was thinking was too early, but I called the other day and was told nothing else available. We also have a PS at Crystal Palace for 5:20, in case my grandma goes with us, since LTT is only for a party of 4. Hope whatever you decide works!

Steph,

We went the same night last year (first Sunday MNSSHP was available), but I don't recall how warm it was. It must have been because I went in a Pirate Costume, which was very light, and I remember being warm.

Our son went in a girafe costume last year. Yes he was the only girafe that we saw, but we did get comments from the CMs that it was the only girafe they seen and that he was cute. I wouldn't be too concerned if you're not in a Disney Character costume. There were many people, including kids, that didn't have such costumes.

I wanted to let you all know I rechecked LTT this past Saturday for an opening and was told they were booked again, so I made a PS at Crystal Palace instead. About 20 minutes after I hung up, the phone rang and guess what -- 10/22 had a computer problem and LTT was open! so I got a 4pm PS at LTT after all.

Anyone going on 10/22?

I was so thrilled that the CM would call me back after realizing the problem!

My DS11 is going to be a Jedi for Halloween this year, I am not concerned about him not being in a Disny costume. I am just wondering if they will let him bring in his lightsaber? I got talked in to making him a costume. Nope, he won't wear a "cheap store bought one" How do I get myself in to things like this?

We were supposed to leave Oct 1st and I think we will stay an extra night so that we can attend MNSSHP. I was wondering do you think we need to go ahead and buy tickets if we are planning on going Oct 1st. I was wondering if we could just wait until we got to the CR, Sept. 27th, and buy the tickets then. So, should I go ahead and buy them or wait until we get there?

I would buy them ahead...They only sell so many and it sounds like a lot of people are going on the 1st. Also if you buy them ahead, then you don't have to worry about it...it's already done!!

Do you really have to buy a special ticket to MNSSHP? Can you just use one of your Park Hopper tickets or do you buy an additional ticket for the MNSSHP? We will be at the Dolphin 10/28-11/2/2004.
Also can you tell me what a PS for LTT is and do I want one or need one?

Yes, you really have to buy a ticket to attend the Halloween Parties. It is a "Hard Ticket" event and you do NOT need a Park Hopper to attend the party, just your party ticket.

They keep the park open from 7:00p - Midnight on select nights in October and have a special Halloween parade, trick or treating and the fireworks etc...much like an E-night but even more fun!

They will give party goers wristbands and make everyone else leave by 7:00p (between 6 and 7 they are clearing out the park of non-party goers).

Lucky and Pooh,
I have a PS at LTT at 5:00.
Thought about CP, but I've been eating there alot lately, and wanted to see the costumes at LTT.
Haven't decided about staying onsite, or just driving up (it's only 45 minutes for me.)
Let me know about a meet, anyone else on the 1st at LTT?

My son was obi wan? last year and I went to Walmart and got brown felt like material and made a cape. Then used rope to tie as a belt. He wore a white turtleneck. He actually wants to be the same this year I think. He looked pretty good. He can't go anywhere without his lightsaber! I remember on our last trip (2000), they sold a multi color lightsaber during the night firework show, so they may allow them???? Does he really want to carry it though, or better yet, do you want to end up carrying it? Knowing my son, I would end up carrying it as soon as we got to the park! (p.s. they have "star tours" so it is kinda disney.)

imamicki2 - Good Luck with your sons costume.:p I have to try and make the mirror from Snow White.

Hi!

How about purchasing one of those lightsabers that collapse & attach it to the costume??? And, yes, Star Wars characters are definitely Disney!! :)

Have fun planning!
:)

Shoot, I can't remember the word--but sew a loop on his costume or belt, so that the lightsaber can rest in the loop--that way, no one will have to carry it.

Not a sheath, obviously. . .maybe there isn't really a word for that loop!

Oh no, he wants the real deal. He wants one like the costuming people that do the conventions and movie openings, etc. I told him he will have to wear this costume to the movie opening and next Halloween also.

He is going to make a lightsaber. Click on the rotated views to see a picture.

Lightsaber

The costume has a belt similiar to the ones in the movies, made out of leather.

Jedi Belt

I have found a canvas type material for the robe, and crinkled cotten fabric for the tunics. It has been interesting. His robe is looking good so far.

do most people dress up in disney character costumes. My daughter wants to go 'punkish' ( nothing to elaborate. NO studed belts or anything.)

Couple questions:
1. Can we get/buy more than one copy of Picture (WE have 3 tickets so we could techinally get 3 pictures).

2. Is there a way that We can just show our tickets, get wristbands and go on with fun without leaving park.

fire14,
for MVMCP, I just needed to go back to the main gate (where tickets are scanned), to get my wrist band.
They started giving them out about 3:30
