Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Central 2004!!!!!! =0)

My sisters and I are going to the party. After reading EVERYTHING in this thread, I finally called and was able to make our reservations at the Liberty Tree Tavern for 4:25 on October 12. I, too, was leary of the early admission and asked my most helpful CM Tabitha to confirm that we could get in early. She was unsure and went to check. She spoke with Tyra Jean in guest relations who told her (as you all say) that we would need our MNSSHP tickets and our confirmation number! Yahoo! We are all planning on dressing up and I will be celebrating (gulp) the big birthday while there! The villains are my favorite, so I can't think of a better time or place to celebrate! See you all there!

Oh....thanks to all of you for all the useful information. Sure saves lots of headaches for later on!

Crazy Shedaisy!

You're not alone! My family of four will be going on Oct 1 as well -- our first time for the party. We didn't make any PS for that night -- hated to use the time to eat when we could be playing! Figured we'd grab an early dinner before and then just snack during the party.

We're starting to think about what costumes we can all do to "theme" together and still be easy.

Do most people put their costumes in a locker or go back to their resorts to change or what? Any suggestions?

Since I am unable to get a PS at LTT, should I try Cinderella's Royal Table or Crystal Palace? I have never eaten at either so I have no idea what advantages/disadvantages either have! I am assuming that if I have a PS number then that will at least get me in early. I will keep trying back at LTT, too!

Timewise, which would be "quicker" for a family of 4?

Thanks Everyone!

I've never had dinner at the Castle so I cannot compare the food but the Crystal Palace has characters..Pooh and friends and the Castle does not. The Castle might be quicker because of that.

We're booked for 10/3 MNSSHP. Same night as last year (2nd party of the season). Crowds weren't bad at all that night.

Last year we ate at Crystal Palace. DW and DS liked the characters and we all found something to eat.

How does LTT compare to CP for both food quality and characters? I know CP is buffet and from what I can tell LTT is not, but what does LTT have for food? DS(4) is very picky.

Thanks.

going for my first mnsshp on oct 3...........so excited..............
ps at ltt before the halloween event starts.

i hope this is a good night for low crowds. i really don't know what to expect.

OK, I'm getting nervous now with all this talk about PS's and getting in early. Can anyone confirm for me whether we should expect to be able to get in around 4:00-4:30 pm with our MNSSHP tickets only?

We had not planned on eating at a restaurant for which we'd need a PS... we're planning on just grabbing dinner quickly at Cosmic Ray's while we're herded into Tomorrowland between 6 pm and 7 pm so that we can enjoy as much time at the party as possible. Will this work or should I go ahead and get a PS after all?

For the past couple of years, they have let party goers in after 4:00p with JUST their party tickets.

JLDSMD: The food quality is the same, but you do not have as many choices. It is done family style. They bring enough for as many in your party in big serving bowls and you help yourself. They start you off with a salad with a strawberry vinigrette dressing. The main dishes are ham, flank steak, turkey, and some sort of pork. The side dishes are mashed potatoes, macs and cheese, stuffing and some green. Last year, there was only one choice for dessert, but the year before you could choose from 4.
The characters are cute. They put masks on, so they are dressed for Halloween also and the wait staff dress up in not too scary make-up. Last year, the characters were: Minnie, Chip and Dale, Goofy and Meeko. Pluto was there the year before instead of Meeko.
Enjoy whereever you decide to eat.

He comes down the parade route right before the parade starts. They'll make announcements. They even make sure all feet and bodies are OFF the streets because it's quite dark when he comes down so its for safety reasons.

How long did it take to get your tickets? I ordered them a week ago and I thought she said 4-6 days. I'm not worried or anything, just wondering.

Forgetyourtroubles,
I live in Hawaii, and I'd say it took 2 weeks or less to get my tickets.

Another October 8th party goer here. Now I'm wanting to make PS arrangements instead of being herded into which ever area. I wonder if I can get a 5:45-6:15ish PS on the 8th at LTT.

BTW~~The 8th is the first day of our first WDW vacation. I think it will be the perfect beginning. I'm so excited. Now I just need to figure out how to make a Sora costume for ds (character from Kingdom Hearts video game---it's a pretty cool game with Disney characters). DD, will be 18 months, is going to wear a Minnie Mouse dress.:D

And I just want to add that I read all 29 pages and enjoyed every minute of it. I'm also sleep deprived and need to get in bed. Disney opens up in 3 hours...maybe I'll just stay up and call for those PS arrangements.

This is my FIRST time to DW during MNSSHP!!!!!I will be there for 4 days, 10/22-10/25, and I want to spend more than one day in the MK.

I am planning to go to MNSSHP on the 22nd vs. the 24th. Does anyone agree with this choice in date???

In reading previous posts, Fridays do not sound like a good choice due to Florida residents.

If I stay with the 22nd, I then have to decide when to go back to the MK so I can enjoy spectromagic and wishes. Since the park hours are not published yet, does anyone have an idea if the MK will be open later than 6:00 on any of thise days??

I am trying to plan my trip and this info would really be helpful.

I am assuming since 10/24 is another MNSSHP, the park will close at 6:00 on that day as well so I shouldn't plan to go back to the MK on that day.

PLEASE HELP!!!

ps: Baloo, thanks for all of this, it s extremely helpful!!!!

LuvAriel

Hey, best of luck getting in LTT! Let us know how it goes. We're going 10/8 as well, and have LTT PS's at 5:15.

DS-7 is going to be Sorcerer Mickey, and DS-5 will be Peter Pan. He's a little strawberry blond and that should be very cute. My mom, who is going with us, is making their costumes.

haha. . .my husband is so tired of me talking about Disney, Disney, Disney. I can't wait either! He is so glad I found these boards so that I might be Disney'd out when we talk. (although, really, that's all I'm thinking about!)

Boy, looks like all the Maryland people are going on the 1st of October. Another one here from Severna Park, MD. We have 5:55 ps at LTT. First time trying the MNSSHP with our DS3.
