Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Central 2004!!!!!! =0)

I just purchased my tickets for the 22nd online this weekend. I went to the calendar section, then clicked special events. From there I scrolled down to MNSSHP, clicked on it, and on the top left hand corner I clicked "BUY TICKETS".

It was quite easy, I received a confirmation email and was told I will receive them by 8/14.

I hope this helps.

Falling for the excitement, I just booked LTT for 10/29 @ 4:40 p.m. That will be perfect as we will enter MK for the late afternoon, have dinner and not miss a minute of MNSSHP!!!! :thewave:

It seems everyone is booking PS dinners inside MK. This is our first MNSSHP and I was under the impression that the park closes around 5:00. I wasn't sure what would be open in the park, so I booked a PS at Artist Pointe at the Wilderness Lodge at 5:00. I figured we could eat and take the boat back to the contemporary and then take the monorail back to MK by 7:00 (or the boat may go directly to MK, can't remember, its been 4 years since last visit). Does this sound doable?:wave2:

The park closes from 6:00p to 7:00p so they can clear out the park. They'll let party goers stay (with wristbands) and put them in either Fantasyland or Tomorrowland unless you're in a restaurant.

I'd say what you want to do sounds fine as long as you get to MK by 7:00p. Some just like to be in the park before it closes to non-party guests and already be in the park when it re-opens at 7:00p but there's nothing wrong with getting there around 7:00p.

I've done it both ways.

Last year we went to the park at around 3:30. We were not required to leave between 6 and 7, but had the place to ourselves! They don't make you leave. That's why I scheduled 4:30. We can eat then take advantage of the short lines!

I personally would not try to go over to WL and back, but I am a "time manager". :earseek:

You might have a blast. Do what your heart wishes 'cause you're at WDW!!!! :hyper:

I think going to Kona for a late lunch is fine. You'll be done right around 4:00p when they'll let you in to MK. Then you can have a light snack during the party. You'll be able to ride the rides from 4 - 7, an extra 3 hours before the official start of the party.

Or you can change it and eat at MK at maybe Crystal Palace, the Castle or Tony's...I'd eat during the hour the park is closed...maybe 5:00p?

Good luck deciding!

I ordered my tickets online but chose the will call pickup. Has anyone done this? Did it work out okay? I pout my confirmaton page in a safe place but now I feel like I want the tickets in my hand! Should I call and see if hey can be mailed or just be patient and tust they will be at the TTC?

Personally, I like to have my things in hand. I am not a will call fan, but I have never done will call with WDW. I know with sporting events I have done will call and have had issues of not being able to "find me", etc. But, we are talking WDW here and they are extremely effecient. Given you have a order number, you are probably fine with the will call. Again, you can't beat the efficiency of WDW!:smooth:

hi beattyfamily:wave:

thank you::yes:: i think for now i will stick with my ps for kona cafe::yes:: based on we can ride for an extra 3 hours:D

thanks agin for your help eve::MinnieMo

That's a good time. I don't think there is anything wrong with the place. Maybe you can take a look at their menu or decide if you want a character meal or not but the Castle is a great place to eat.

Enjoy!

Cindy's is one of my absolute favorite restaurants. I love the meal that I think is called "King Stephan's feast" or something of that nature. It's tenderloin beef with garlic mashed potatoes and onion straws. I am not a beef eater, but it is awesome!!!!!!! :bounce:

I would think your timing is great!::yes::

Called last night and ordered tix for the Oct 17th MNSSHP and made priority seating for the LTT. This will be my DH's and my first visit to this event and we can not wait. I wanted PS earlier, but the only one left before 7 was 6:10. I might call back and check later to see if there have been any cancellations for anything earlier. BTW- I did not have to give my credit card to make the reservation (when I read a lot of these posts, it seems most of you did? does this seem right?)

Just thought I would share my enthusiasm with the rest of you! :D

I had to leave my CC number, but I wonder if it was I did this through DVC member services. I would think that if you have a PS number that CC or not you should be fine.

Vavalynn2, We have 6:15 PS's at LTT on 10/17, so I guess we'll see you there! I don't know if we're going to do costumes or not. We like to travel light when we're in the parks, and I can't think of any costumes that won't load us down.

See you then!!!

Julie

:earsboy: WELCOME to the DIS phabric!!! :earsboy:

5pm is a GREAT time for your PS.

uktigger...2004 will be my family's 9th MNSSHP.We've always done it the way you're going to! :earsboy: We have a late lunch and then enjoy snacks...oh and my boys enjoy CANDY...during MNSSHP! It's always worked out great for us!

As far as I know 2002 was the first year guest to MNSSHP were let in the MK early,4:30ish, for the event. In years past no one was let in before about 6:30pm...believe me we tried to get in earlier!! We'd be at the gate by 5:30pm but no entry then! 6:30 was the "magic" hour! We always had a wonderful time even entering at the actual "official party time"...I mean we've been coming back over
and over for years!

No matter what time you arrive or where you eat you're going to have a WONDERFUL time
at MNSSHP!!!

Julie,

We travel light as well. The only thing I have come up with is to be a football player and wear one of my husband's jerseys and get a pair of football pants. I thought it would be comfortable but we are still at a loss as my husband does not want to be a cheerleader. :)

See you then!

He could be your "coach". Khaki pants, team polo shirt, and ball cap. My husband is begging to dress as Marvin Lewis (Cincinnati Bengals coach). All our kids have a Bengals football player jersey so that 's what he is lobbying for. I want to go with a Disney theme!

Just how many adults (parents) are dressed up for the party? Don't want to feel foolish in costume but don't want to feel left out by not dressing up, either. This is our 1st MNSSHP on the 12th.
