My 2.5 year old is allergic to gluten and casein and on a restrictive diet due to juvenile arthritis. I've read that there are allergen options, both edible and no edible, at city hall available during the Halloween party. Id rather just avoid edibles so I was wondering if anyone knew what would be available to her so we can plan in advance. Thanks so much

I'm not sure what the options are, but when we have gone to the party, we skip the trick or treating. Kids never even noticed it. There's plenty to do otherwise.

You can get a bag of allergy free treats at City Hall. I did it one year and it was craisins, suckers etc, but I'm not sure what the current options are.

My son has a peanut/tree nut allergy. When we inquired at City Hall, they asked his specific allergy, went into a back room and came back with a back of treats. It included some special chocolate suckers and candy (labeled as made in a peanut/nut free environment, which is rare for chocolate), and some hard candies that were labeled sugar free and nut free. Every item in the bag was safe for him and we were thrilled!

Desert parties give a box of alleregy friendly desert treats , There is tons of non eating things to do though with rides and other things open.

I just read this on the HUB (internal CM site) hope it helps
Got a food allergy? If so, we have a special trick-or-treat experience just for you!

When you arrive for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, see a Cast Member about your allergy to pick up a teal treat bag after entering the event, or from our official Allergy-Friendly Centers—hosted by Mylan—at Town Square Theater and Heritage House.

Then, when you trick-or-treat with your teal bag, Cast Members will give you a special token at each treat station. Later on, you can redeem your tokens at our Allergy-Friendly Centers to receive special treats selected just for you!

Please note: a treat token is not needed to receive allergy-friendly candy during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

Thank you so much for this info! My daughter will love this!!!

Our son had life threatening allergies to tree nuts, peanuts, eggs, and all milk products including whey and sodium caseinate. When he trick or treated we would set up a "store," and exchange his items for safe items.

And that was how we ended up with a lot of trips to Disney. Because it was the only safe place to take him. Glad they do such a good job with the Halloween party.

Wonder if adults can get the teal bags too. Not sure my friends allergy would matter with candy but I'll let him know this is an option.
