Just got this email from Disney:

Mickey Moms Club members and their friends are invited to a party and viewing of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth, the fireworks and laser water show at Epcot® on August 23, 2009 at 8:30pm.

There you can meet each other, enjoy refreshments and have a special spot to see the breathtaking, brilliant bursts of fire, laserlight effects, dramatic fountain barges, a stirring musical score and the world's first spherical video display system—the 350,000-pound Earth Globe performed at Disney's Epcot® theme park.

Mickey Moms Club members or their friends can bring themselves along with 5 additional guests. If you have friends or family scheduled to be at Walt Disney World® Resort during this time, forward this invitation to them! Space is limited and you must RSVP by August 16, 2009.

I just got this too and that is the day that we check in so I'm psyched to attend. My DH thinks we shouldn't waste our park admission and time but I told him that I'm sure this is the only time that we'll ever be able to attend an event like this so we're going.

Anyone that will be there during this time but did not receive an invitation, PM me and I can forward you the email so you can RSVP! It doesn't say you have to be a member and it does say you can forward for others to attend.

Mickey's Moms Club members are moms (and probably dads) that submitted applications/essays when they were last searching for members to host the DisneyWorldMomsPanel.com.

Has anyone received a confirmation for the party or a phone call? We are leaving next Wednesday to drive down from NY and I'm wondering if we'll get anything before we go.

I haven't heard anything back from Disney either. The email said that the deadline for RSVP's is Sunday, so I'm hoping to get an email on Monday.

Actually people on the boards reported that Disney was no longer accepting any more RSVPs the same night that the e-mail was sent out so I was hoping that they would move on sending out the confirmations more quickly. I was also wondering if they planned to call people because they asked for our cell #.

Has anyone heard anything yet, do you think that if we never get anything and arrive at AKL on the 23rd that we'll be able to have anyone help us get our confirmation? We don't have a laptop to take with us and the only time that I might be able to access my e-mail is from our friend's house on the 20th.
