I'd like to see it somewhere a bit more main stream before I even believe it. The guy could be Phelps... but it could be someone else too. We'll see.

That picture doesn't even look like him! Those sideburns are longer than any picture I've ever seen of him.

I had heard rumors of him really partying in Vegas a few months ago. No mention of drugs at that time though.

That story is almost a month old - don't you think it'd be "broken" here by now if it was true? It reads like a gossip magazine, really. I wouldn't tell your son anything until you hear it from a reputable source.

I think he got the dope from Obama's brother and smoked it at the birth of Sarah Palin's grandchild. The story was kept under wraps because it was Rush Limbaugh that turned Phelps onto the Obama brother dope connection. In an odd unifying moment, Ariana Huffington, passed a doobie to Rush and they both agreed that it was in the best interest of the US to keep the the image of Phelps a pure one. Unfortunately Reverend Wright was present and said there was not good to this union and leaked the pictures to the papers and exclaimed "God Bless America?No! Gosh darn America."

The Enquirer? If I remember right, they broke the Monica/Clinton and the John Edward's story.

Michael Phelps is a spokesperson for some big name companies. There would have been some denials issued.

I'm still hoping it's not true, but my gut is telling me otherwise.

the picture looks fake. the hand holding the bong is much more brightly lit than anything else. It looks too small in scale compared to the rest of the body.

I don't like him. My youngest brother used to hang in the same crowd as him and used to tell me horror stories about what he was really like.

That said, I don't buy this for a second. I don't think that this is true. If it was, it would be on the local news, in the local paper, etc. And it is no where.

yes, I'm in Baltimore. My mom actually still lives around the corner from his mother.

Very interesting about it being reported on WBAL. i generally don't watch WBAL, so that's how i missed it. I find it odd that it isn't being reported on any of the other local news stations (I checked our local ABC, CBS, and Fox stations and also checked our local paper again.) Absolutely nothing. I am still thinking this is BS, but who knows.

It's well known that Phelps has alphabet disorder-ADD or ADHD. He may, at times, self medicate. So what? Other than lung damage which we all get just living in a city these days, I find pot pretty benign a substance. Phelps' lungs are probably pretty healthy given his career. I'd like to see pot legalized, taxed and controlled.
